What an absolute gem of a little getaway, Fiona is a great host and the shepherds hut is absolutely perfect for what we needed. The addition of homemade bread, milk, butter and jam in the fridge is such a lovely and thoughtful touch. Nothing will prepare you for how big and relaxing the hot tub is, we absolutely loved sitting in it and listening to the wildlife. The hut is really private and has its own little garden, we had breakfast lunch and dinner outside as we were so lucky with the weather! We will absolutely be back, thank you for having us!

We didn't want to return home as we had had the perfect stay. This lovely little shepherd's hut surrounded by beautiful farmlands, was just what we'd hoped for and it didn't disappoint! Our hosts Peter and Rachel, were very responsive to our needs, although, gave us our privacy and let us explore the surrounding areas. The hut had lots of little touches to it that made it feel homely and cute, although, functional and great use of a small space. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the hut had heating, wifi and a range of options on the tv after a tiring day of adventures! Excellent stay, would absolutely return, thank you! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay on New Year’s Eve and was welcomed with a glass of wine and nibbles. Lovely cosy place to stay with a 10 month old baby and a dog. Pub is 10 min walk and lovely surroundings for dog walks. Will definitely return again and the bad weather didn’t dampen our stay.

A fantastic place in a pretty, serene location where you can chill by the fire pit. The kids loved the hut and the amenities and brought them away from their devices and into the outside!

The 2 ladies that greeted us upon check in were friendly and helpful. the campsite is clean, peaceful, tranquil. plenty of toilet/shower blocks which were clean, modern and accessible whenever my family needed. all guests very friendly. as for the shepherds hut, it was warmer then expected with plenty of room and storage under the main double bed. mattress very comfortable and 2 single beds which could fit up to 5ft 2 child on comfortably. if your on a budget i would recommend arranging food (there is 2 electric hob perfect for pasta) as a family of 4 we walked to nearest pub restaurant st peters finger, was nice but pricey and limited menu. highly reccommended for short stay (1/2 nights) with local links for things to do

I had a wonderful few days in Michele’s Shepherd’s Hut. Although she was nearby, I felt that I had complete privacy. The home-baked goods on arrival were a lovely touch. The setting is peaceful with beautiful views over Chesil beach. At night, there is just the sound of wind and waves on the beach, and the sky is full of stars. Michele had thoughtfully included a folder of local walks and recommended one in particular which I enjoyed doing. This was one of my favourite ever airbnb experiences and I would recommend a stay here to anyone who wants to recharge their batteries.

We had a brilliant weekend in New Forest. The accommodation was perfect and just what we were after. Very cosy and peaceful and fully equipped with everything needed. Nested in a beautiful garden area, we loved the bbq and the tables and chairs outside for sunrises and sunsets. The surrounding area has lovely walks and beautiful scenery. Lots of trail paths and forest areas and river creeks and animals. Isabel was a fantastic host; very welcoming and friendly and made sure we were comfortable and felt at home. Plus homemade sourdough bread and condiments were such a treat! Will be back again without hesitation!

The Shephard’s hut was delightful! Very secluded and cosy. The golf buggy is a big standout, made everything so much easier. Jess’ instructions were clear and easy to use, thank you for having us!

This was the perfect getaway, the shepherds hut is set in lovely surroundings, it’s in the grounds of the house but still feels secluded and private, it’s really cosy and has everything you need. Sheena is a great host, with good communication at just the right level. We spent a lovely couple of days here and would definitely recommend it for a peaceful break. We spent new year here and would love to revisit in the summer to take advantage of the outside space and bbq.

We had a wonderful time, would definitely recommend to others and looking forward to visiting again!

We booked both Shepard’s huts to stay with family. They were spotlessly clean, the kids loved the wood pile and we made use of the BBQ / fire pit. Thanks for a lovely stay, we’ll be back

I had a lovely 3 night stay at Maurietty. Fantastic location for going to do walks all round New Forest. The hut itself was spotlessly clean on arrival and felt very homely. Jo's communication is fantastic, both before and during the stay. Instructions of how to get to Maurietty were precise and accurate. There is a fantastic view and because the weather was perfect, my evenings were spent reading outside during sunset. Plenty of places to visit and walk during your stay here. I will definitely be booking here again. Thank you Jo for a lovely time. I wish it was for longer!

We had a lovely couple of nights in Herdwick hut at Laverstock farm. The farm is gorgeous and we enjoyed walking around it seeing the animals, particularly the pygmy goats, and even had a couple of games of table tennis in the games room. The area around the hut is very private and peaceful, although you could hear some chatter from the cottages above at times. The hut itself is really pretty and cosy and we loved being greeted by the cows in the adjacent field. The separate kitchen was well equipped and we enjoyed evenings by the fire pit, with the added bonus of marshmallows left by the host! One thing to mention is that the shared washroom is a walk away, up by the cottages, but it was clean and offered products and towels. A relaxing and lovely stay.

This was a good little find with the back garden basically being the new forest. If you’re lucky you might catch a quick glimpse of a couple off deer’s on a walk like we did. Also a few different types off birds. The location was ideal not far from Bournemouth if you want to spend the day shopping or at the beach. Or like we did we went Alpaca walking. Walks round the forest. Then back to the little home from home with the hot tub logs on the go for a nice soak in the hot tub heated up the traditional way. The hosts were very nice and helpful. So a big thank you. But the best bit for me was my dog fix 😁 lexi there lovely dog become my new best friend when we was there. She Sat with us in the evening and when we woke up she was waiting for us out side the hut. A really behaved dog. Even when we had a bbq she didn’t jump up or even try getting to the food. Really enjoyed our time there. I would definitely go back.

Beautiful rural getaway!! Chloe was so helpful with making sure the hot tub was ready for the evenings, the shepherds hut was a perfect escape for us as a couple, with beautiful views, privacy and a very cute lodging with everything we needed. The furnishings and details in the shepherds hut were so lovely and made a very small space feel like a cosy home. Super easy to find and enjoyed a couple of nice walks in the area. Will book again!

Wow! What an incredible place. Nestled deep in the countryside with nothing but the sounds of nature for company. Just what we needed to escape the hustle and bustle for a few days. Nearest beach a ten minute drive away, plenty to do in the area. The hot tub was fabulous for relaxing after a day of hiking and exploring the coastline. The cabin had everything we needed and was so cosy! Can’t wait to return!

Had an amazing weekend away with my partner staying in the Shepard’s hut we had some nice walks in the woods 🌳that are right next to the hut we seen some deer 🦌 a buzzard some fish a owl and lots of horses 🐴 The outside shower was a lovely addition and was very hot the local restaurant were really nice we had a Lovely time in the evenings next to the fire 🔥 relaxing with a few bottles of wine 🍷 enjoying the peace and quiet and looking at the stars ⭐️ The hut was very clean and the bed was very comfortable also there was a massive amount of firewood so we never need to ask for more thanks for a lovely weekend away

Our stay was fantastic, the place is peacefull and quiet. The shepherdshut was cosy and clean, with a view on the deer in the evening. Thankyou so much Cherry!

Really good location, 5 minute walk down to the beach. Nice private space which makes it easy when travelling with a dog. It is on a busy road which you can hear, but this didn’t bother us. Would recommend and visit again.

My partner and I had the most incredible stay, we cooked on an open fire, surrounded by beautiful wildlife and bathed in the hot tub looking at the stars. Angela was an amazing host, the place was perfectly described and no stone was left unturned. We did take a stroll to 2 of the local pubs and ate at one of them on our second night but we were looking for rural, peaceful and private and the hut delivered all that and more. We took a stroll after check out to stour head as per Martyn’s recommendation and it was beautiful. We fully intend to return sometime in the future.
