The stone cottage was the perfect getaway for our New Years trip! The space is cozy and well appointed, and the host was thoughtful and accommodating when we ended up arriving in town earlier than anticipated. We would love to come back and stay in the summer to sit by the pool in such private and peaceful surroundings.

This home is MAGNIFICENT! I stay in many airbnbs but this home takes the cake. If you love a space that is peaceful, well designed and cozy this is the place for you. Every room has the thoughtful touches of a hip hotel within the coziness of a historic home that is all yours for the weekend. Highlights include amazing (wood burning!) fireplaces, chefs kitchen, luxurious beds and a hot tub we spent a snowy weekend coming in and out of. The house is warm and the hosts have thought of everything from check in to check out. I will be staying here again this winter. Nearby town, cold spring, is a gem…although I never left the house! Thank you for this awesome stay!!!

My wife and I just enjoyed an incredible week at Home Sweet Hudson to welcome the New Year, and it exceeded all our expectations! The location is ideal—peaceful, serene, and thoughtfully designed for the ultimate relaxing getaway. The amenities were outstanding, providing both comfort and a touch of luxury. Additionally, the nearby town of Cold Springs was a delightful surprise—full of charm and character, with plenty to explore. If you’re seeking a tranquil retreat one hour from NYC in a beautiful setting, this is the place to go. We’re already looking forward to returning!

This was a lovely home. Very easy getting inside. Everything was exactly as listed, pictured and described. We felt so cozy and welcomed by Susan. The house had everything you could possibly need to make your stay easy and convenient and was very clean. I had a few questions during our visit and Susan was extremely responsive and so kind. I highly recommend this home. The beds were very comfortable. Showers were very nice and had great water pressure and nice hot water. We truly felt at home and we're beyond satisfied. I highly recommend this home for anyone need of an Airbnb in the area. Lovely home and property.

We loved our stay in Calum's Airbnb! It is a short commute from NYC and conveniently located between two main areas with plenty of grocery store and restaurant options. The home itself is well equipped with an amazing kitchen and many board games - so we were always entertained.

Beautiful, comfortable, well built house with great views of woods and stream, well equipped kitchen. My husband, son and I really enjoyed staying there, while visiting family, even during some of the coldest days of the winter. We would love to come back at a time when we can take advantage of the deck and pool!

The place was so great! Quick walk to main st. Clean and nice house. Great backyard. Very comfy and cozy for a snowy weekend with two little kids. Eva was very communicative and texted about snow removal right away! Would def stay again on our next Beacon visit!

Great for exploring Beacon and the Hudson Valley. Great communication for a last minute reservation and the space was as described. Hot water was good. Very quiet and comfortable. Beautiful view from backyard. Great covered porch. Suggestions to host: - a better desk for working from a laptop. The dining table and old style desk aren’t the best for that. - better curtains. I didn’t mind as the area is very dark at night and I like to wake up with the sun, but they are very sheer and even missing from certain windows in the den. If you want to sleep in the light may wake you up early. - a small table or the like for the backyard. The covered porch is great but something fully in the sun would be nice.

Our group had such a wonderful stay. A lovely and clean home with a gorgeous kitchen and nice living space. Our host Jessica was very responsive and friendly. One of the best airbnb experiences I’ve had, highly recommend to anybody looking to host a group upstate for a long weekend!

This house worked out perfectly for our two families. We were in town for funeral services and we needed a space big enough for the 8 of us, 4 of which were teegage girls. It was roomy, free of clutter, and was centrally located to everything we needed. Domenika was even willing to let our families check in early, since we were coming from far. She was super accomodating! The beds were comfortable, kitchen had everything we needed and the kids enjoyed the ping pong table at night! I would highly recommend this house!

Exactly what was needed. House was beautiful, so well put together, had everything that would be necessary for an amazing getaway. Cybele was an incredible host, felt like I was staying at a friends house. Highly recommend and plan on coming back to the lake in the warmer months.

Kelley was very clear that the place is her home - and the special touches made it feel so welcoming and cozy. We spent a weekend there, including one day when 4 of us were working. Everyone had plenty of space and amazing views for remote work. The kitchen is great with new pots and pans. Kelley was generous with her coffee and left us a nice bottle of wine at check in. The master bedroom had curtains only on one side, so if morning light isn’t something you love, pack a sleep mask. All the beds and couches and views were wonderful. We would definitely go back.

We rented this house in Beacon for a girls weekend. The location is great and it was easily walkable to many shops and restaurants. The kitchen and dinging room were great spaces for gathering and having a meal. The bedrooms were spacious and because they all had comfortable queen beds, it was easy for us to share the space. We even enjoyed a brief soak in the hot tub. We all loved the decor and found the place to be super clean--we would stay here again and I would recommend to others --with a few notes. The living room was a bit small for all 7 of us to comfortably lounge so if you plan to stay inside all day and watch movies, this might not be the place for you. However, we hiked some local trails and walked around town, so we were okay with that space. Next, this house is 'smart home' with all of the lights, heat, etc connected to technology. The hosts gave clear directions about how to use this but it is not for the tech-phobic!

Lovely and clean home. We only stayed one night but the house was cozy, spacious, clean, and well-kept. The host was friendly and responsive as well. Would love to stay here again next time we’re in the area!

Marianna’s place was the perfect spot for a girls’ weekend. The house fit 6 of us comfortably and was in a great location. It was right off the Main Street and walkable to plenty of restaurants, stores, and coffee shops. I would definitely recommend Beacon for a weekend getaway and Marianna’s house as your home base.

great spot on a hill in a neat town. there are a few great restaurants within walking distance. view of Mahopac lake which gets busy at times quiet at others. downside very small access point for kayak only. there is a boat rental place right there if you wanted to rent a party boat. we visited NYC by car without issue about 1hr drive in. I found an amazing bike path "rail trail " passes right through the little center also. overallgreat place. very comfortable house. record player and views set the mood for a special stay!

We were passing through Beacon for only one night (unfortunately!). Christian’s home was exactly as described and so close to all Beacon has to offer. One thing I always hope for is a driveway for parking, especially when on long roadtrips. Plenty of room for the 4 of us; quite spacious. Christian was very responsive & a great host. Will definitely stay again next time in Beacon!

If you are looking for a sign to book this place, this is it! The house was so wonderful, and much bigger than the photos could capture. It's also very well stocked with fun board games and activities, as well as a really comfortable and spacious kitchen. We spent our time cooking, hanging out on the couch, and playing games! It was the perfect way to spend a cozy winter getaway. The horse and goats are a huge plus, and we enjoyed going down to feed them and give them pets. Frodo was my favorite! Cheryl and Jamie were really warm and incredible hosts who made us feel very welcome. They even included some treats for us since we were celebrating my birthday, which was such a nice gesture. I wish we could have spent more time here and will definitely be returning in the future!

We very much enjoyed our stay with our 7 year old and 6 month old. The backyard was fun to explore with our kids and the laundry was very convenient. We appreciated the French press in the kitchen for our morning coffee and the nice plates. Lighting a fire was easy and convenient. We love Cold Spring and the Hudson Valley and would come back for sure.
