Sam and Nilu are great hosts and they were attentive to us and provided us with everything we've asked. He was always around for us to ask any questions about any tips. They have gone beyond and done everything to give us a good experience for our little holiday. I can't highly recommend them enough.

Samith was extremely helpful and responsive. The hotel is beautiful and we chose to stay in the stylish wooden beach chalets. As an eco lodge, there is no air conditioning but the fans and chalets were perfectly cool. There is also no heated water but so the showers are warmer in the afternoon on a hot day but cold all day if it’s a cloudy day! Kalpitiya is very windy, and therefore, a great destination for kite surfing which was really fun, even for a beginner! It is a great alternative if you want some peace and quiet. The food was fantastic, especially if you happen to be there for their bbq nights which has seasonal produce including fresh fish, squid, prawns, chicken etc. The only slight criticism is that some stretches of beach are littered with plastic, which is common to other parts of Sri Lanka, although it is clear that the hotel has made efforts to go green and I would thoroughly recommend it!

Nous avons passé un excellent moment chez Sam. Le logement était conforme à la description. Sam a été très réactif et plein de bons conseils durant tout notre séjour. Il faut juste avoir en tête que le logement est vraiment isolé de tout et qu’il est donc nécessaire d’avoir un moyen de transport pour chaque déplacement. Je ne peux que recommander !

The cabana was spacious and very clean with a big shower to store boards and kites. Hot water as well! The garden is beautifuly arranged, directly at the beach. The restaurant serves delicious Sri lanken food but also European and the portions are very generous. Niru and Less are welcoming, very friendly and helpful. If you need a lift to town they go 3 to 4 times a week or take orders for stuff to buy. The beach is positioned perfectly to kite over to the lagoon in 2 min. We are deffenetly back!

We didn't arrive very happy but mostly because we were tired and had other expextations of Kalpitiya. But.... After some rest we came to rest at Dinuda resort. We loved our Stay. The rooms are great, the Windows can be cleaner, the breakfast is awesome!! The menu for the restaurant is for our opinion a bit to expensive... The Stay was perfect!

Hiru Resort è stato un soggiorno all'altezza delle aspettative. le camere sono super spaziose sia le famigliari sia le doppie. Tutto è pulito ed il personale si adopera per dare informazioni. Volendo si possono consumare i pasti previa prenotazione. Forse siamo capitato in bassa stagoone e la cucina non era attiva. Bellissimo anche l'angolo relax sul tetto con divani e poltrone. Lo consiglio. Ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo

We really loved it here and stayed longer than expected. beautiful extraordinary sunset views and large maintained gardens with palm trees loads of shade wooden loungers wonderful large clean swimming pool. A 20 minute walk into the nearest town or 5 minute tuktuk.. market stalls nearby. altogether a great finish to our winter sun trip. thank you.

Even though it was late check in and early check out for some of us, staff and owners were flexible to accomodate our needs and very quick enough to react in our last minute requests. very Helpful and kind people. Must stay longer, experience the peace and relax with family.

Susantha är en härlig karaktär, umgås med sina gäster, pratar mycket och skrattar hela tiden. Hans mamma lagar fantastiskt goda middagar. Frukosten är ganska bra. Jag bytte från backpacker rum som var litet till en cabana med eget badrum och dusch för att det var mer prisvärt.

We couldn’t recommend staying at Ruuk Village more. The rooms are comfortable and spacious, the private area at the front is relaxing and pretty, and the private bathroom is in keeping with the whole theme of the village. Our stay was made even better by the staff, who were always attentive, and the food provide was delicious - the authentic Sri Lankan dinners and breakfasts were brilliant. Don’t come here if you’re looking for 5* hotel treatment, but DO come here if you’re looking for friendly, flawless treatment with rustic, charming rooms only metres from beautiful views. All in all, we couldn’t recommend Ruuk Village highly enough.

Die Unterkunft in Nayans Paradies war so wie beschrieben. Wir haben uns sofort sehr wohl gefühlt. Dazu beigetragen hat vor allen Dingen Martinez, von der Abholung am Flughafen, bis zur Einführung in die Kultur der einheimischen Menschen. Auf Wunsch besuchten wir eine christliche Messe und anschließend durften wir seine Eltern kennenlernen. Wir wurden bekocht und die Gastfreundschaft war sehr herzlich und beeindruckend. Leider waren wir nur zwei Nächte dort,mehr Zeit wäre noch schöner gewesen. Der Strand gleich am Grundstück war paradiesisch. Wir haben das Meer genossen und den Fischern bei ihrer Arbeit zugesehen. Was für eine harte Arbeit. Wir durften helfen und dabei haben wir auch eine Schildkröte wieder ins Meer begleiten. Wie schon vor zwei Jahren, haben wir wieder festgestellt wie liebenswert und aufgeschlossen die Menschen sind. Hier nochmal einen besonderen Dank an Martinez! Bis zum nächsten Mal!

Wir wollten eigentlich nach 3 Tagen colombo hier 3 Tage zum Ausruhen und Baden nutzen.Aus 3 wurden 6 Tage und ein Anfängerkitesurfkurs. Es ist definitiv ein Kitesurfhotspot, aber egal wer kommt..alle werden sofort in der großen Familie aufgenommen. Man wächst schnell zusammen…ach es war wirklich schön mit Euch allen .Frühstück und Dinner macht die Mutti und uns hat es sehr geschmeckt! Man kann natürlich auch außerhalb essen gehen! Susantha steht bei Fragen immer gerne zur Seite.Die Cabanas sind einfach aber romantisch.Wer Angst vor Insekten,Fröschen und Gecko’s hat ist hier nicht gut aufgehoben 🤗Wir sagen: Danke
