I booked the place for its location and it completely delivered on that. It is right in front of the pyramids and I was able to see them from my room as well as the rooftop. The light show was clearly visible from the rooftop and I immensely enjoyed the stay. They helped with a luggage issue I had with the airlines and were helpful in arranging food according to preference.

L’endroit parfait pour séjourner au Caire. Le quartier est central, calme mais vivant. Parfait pour sortir dîner le soir, on s’y promène facilement à pied. L’appartement est chaleureux, bien décoré. Et surtout l’accueil de Martine est au top : nous avons reçu plein de bons conseils pour les visites, les restaurants etc. J’y retournerai avec plaisir si je reviens au Caire !

Chez Martine was absolutely nice place to stay. As I was travelling as a solo woman the area felt safe (to walk even it was dark alreaf) and was peaceful compared to center. Shower had hot water which was nice as it was bit chilly on February. Mr. Nasser was very friendly. what I really liked was the atmosphere, the flat was very specially decorated.

Situated in a really interesting place within Cairo, this hidden gem is a great stay. This was the second time in my trip that I booked Ola’s place and it’s beautiful.

A localização é perfeita, muito comércio por perto, vários pontos turísticos nas redondezas que dá pra ir caminhando; O quarto é simples porém confortável, a cama aconchegante e o cobertor e travesseiros são bem confortáveis e quentinhos; há um frigobar no quarto que é bastante útil. Mostafa foi bem atencioso e prestativo, o hotel oferece vários passeios interessantes, o motorista Raaof é muito simpático e prestativo, o carro não é dos melhores mas para o caos do trânsito do Cairo está aceitável; Vale a pena fazer os passeios, só acertem "todos" os detalhes antes, como valores e o que estará incluso para não ter problemas, mas caso aconteça Mostafa ajudará com tudo. Recomendo.

We took a tour of the Bayt Yakan with Alaa, the owner and architect, and it was beautiful and amazing the work that he and his wife Ola have done to restore the house and also to strengthen the cohesiveness of the neighborhood. There was a very joyous new baby party in the courtyard of local people one night of our stay. To really take advantage of your stay, best to spend most of your time in the outside patio areas or courtyard areas (where you will be surrounded by two cats 😀). Or, spend time in the library, especially if you prefer reliable internet. The apartment was quiet for sleep, and we slept well. The food cooked for breakfast is very good. The same women cooks will make lunch or dinner also, and it is delicious.

La posizione dell'albergo è comodissima per raggiungere, anche a piedi, Khan el-Khalili, il parco di Parco di Al-Azhar, la città vecchia, Downtown e molte altre attrazioni. In tutte le strade vicine si trova dell'ottimo street food. la struttura è spartana ma c'è tutto l'occorrente. Infine, Said e il suo staff sono cordiali e disponibili anche nel fornire informazioni turistiche e organizzare attività guidate. Consiglio perciò vivamente il soggiorno in questo alloggio per chi vuole vivere la città dal di dentro e in maniera autentica.

The property is an inexpensive hotel with a very friendly and responsive staff. I arrived at 10 pm at night and, at first, was intimidated by the busy streets and crowds. But I soon realized that the neighborhood was 100% safe. At 11:30 pm there were mothers and their children walking the neighborhood. It was a good experience. I felt what it was like to be a part of the local community. The people in the streets are nice and respectable. It's a decent and respectful spirit in the air. Yeah, okay, the room wasn't crystal clean, but for $12 dollars I was completely satisfied. And the air condition worked and was cold! I wasn't there for the room. I was there to meet the locals and find a couple synagogues. And that mission was successful. Also, Haitham and his staff were there for me at all times. If you want a clear vision of down to earth Cairo, then here it is. Enjoy the spiritual journey and the kindnesses and respectful behavior of the locals. Shalom!

Super schön restauriert und in einem nicht touristischen Quartier. Schöner Innenhof und nette Personen. Tolle Bibliothek und Dachterrasse. Zimmer hat alles was man braucht. Kein Luxushotel aber für mich war es 100% das richtige (Architekt, interessiert an lokaler Kultur).

Es el lugar ideal para despertar por la mañana admirando las pirámides y la esfinge de Giza, por las noches es el lugar perfecto para ver el show de luces sobre los mismos. La atención es excelente, muy buena predisposición para todo. La pasé muy bien y, sin dudas volvería a elegirlo.

Great place to stay. The staff was really friendly and available every time I needed help. The view from my room was amazing and the view from the hotel is to die for, waking up by the pyramids has no price. Will be coming back in the future if I ever go back to Egypt, this time with family I hope :)

I’m impressed with how lovely this gem of a hotel is. The views are stunning and the room is very comfortable. We had many problems our flight was late arriving, but still got picked up at airport. Also we had problems with our phones and the staff helped sort that out for us and got us a new sim. I cant recommend this enough. Come and stay here. You will love it.
