Nice, clean, great for its closeness to ocean and downtown Cancun. We became expert city bus riders! Only 60 cents to ride the bus downtown. Ocean water was the perfect temperature even though we were here in January. My only complaint would be someone upstairs had a little kid who rose up early in the mornings

Ms Paty greeted us like long-lost family, she was incredibly attentive, and her top-notch team made our stay unforgettable. Huge thanks to Maria for keeping everything pristine, and a big shoutout to the beach club team for their exceptional service! Hey, just wanted to remind you about the amazing shrimp ceviche we had. It was seriously the best ceviche I've ever tasted! Huge thanks to the chef for creating such a delicious dish.

Enjoyed our short trip to Xcalak. The owner was responsive and flexible and the local team were very kind and helpful… and they make awesome food! We were on the fence about having most of our meals there but are really glad we did. They were incredible! Condo was spacious and looked like the pictures but there were a few minor things that needed attention. There was no hand soap for any of the sinks and no drinking water left inside the unit (there were bottles in a cooler at the main dining area but we didn’t know about them until our second day). Power was out both days due to work in the area so they had a generator for use of electricity after 4pm which was appreciated for having AC while sleeping! Looks like they’re doing a lot of improvements so we’re excited to see the changes. Beds were comfortable and pier was amazing for stargazing! We’ll be back!

We loved our stay at Icaco! The room and property are beautiful, especially the rooftop pool area, and the balcony. The daily breakfast is perfect - fresh juice, coffee, yogurt, granola, bread, spreads and a gorgeous assortment of fresh fruit. They even accommodated my request for gluten-free. Such a lovely property, and fantastic team. You are right across the street from the beach. Note that the street is busy and thus loud, but if you prepare and bring some earplugs, it's no problem. The road quiets down by 10pm on weeknights. Highly recommend!

Acocote Inn is an amazing place. Snorkel to reef heads right from the beach or torture yourself with fly fishing for permit, this place is perfect. Rob, the host, wasn’t there but the caretaker Chucho and his family made us feel right at home. Absolutely no security concerns, peaceful, well located north of town…this place had it all. We’ll be back.

Thanks Kenny for all your helpful advice while booking. We ended up renting a vehicle which made our stay much better. While we had no reason to leave the resort, having a vehicle allowed us to try different food/restaurants, shop around and sight see without having to schedule or wait for taxis.

Our heads are still spinning with memories of this beautiful place and the people. The property is a dream, lovely, safe, peaceful and quiet. We arrived by way of the Santa Rita turnoff at Ek-Balam, avoiding Valladolid. Signage to Secreto Maya is excellent. The guys and gals were sweet and friendly -- and fluent in English when our Spanish failed. I'm not sure who was cooking but they should be Michelin rated. Kept the dining open late just for us and a French family. Best cenote for swimming and diving that we have seen in Yucatan. So few people on a weekday that it felt like a private pool. (Apparently they skim it daily to please visitors even though the leaf debris is natural.) We'll go back, hopefully to renew acquaintances with our new friends, including Wera, the wonder puppy.

Perfect for our party of 8! We booked the 3 apartments, so nice each apartment is in it’s own building. We used the main kitchen building for cooking all of our meals. Rooftop sat all 8 of us. Power went out in town, we still had all the basics like refrigerators, fans, lights, phone charging and starlink. Super close to beach and restaurants. We will be back next year for sure!

I stayed for one night because this hotel is located close to the bus station and I had a 4 am bus to catch to the airport. The rooms are cute, clean, and airy. They open onto a central courtyard with pretty plants and a common palapa area. Check in was easy and accommodated holding my luggage when I arrived early. Easy walk to the bus and to 5th Av.

Beautiful room and exceptional view of the ocean. Amazing shower with view of ocean waves crashing. Plunge pool was very private and felt luxurious while also relaxing in comfortable chairs on private deck. Best room on the property by far. Lovely sand pathways to private access to the well maintained beaches and short walking distance to the pool, hanging beds, yoga stage overlooking the ocean and restaurant. We loved it so much at check in we immediately booked a second night. We did switch rooms since this room was booked but loved this property. Unfortunately the following day we had a mishap with the front office. Complaint: the white/brown bracelets needed to access the hotel & park was not provided—even after asking, it is a service they do provide. He directed us to the ruins instead. This persons caused an enormous delay in our plans and a lot of headaches because they did not offer them at the ruins. It was extremely offensive at checkout the he was offering them to guests

This place is insane! People who appreciate nature, meaning, and reconnection will feel at home. Staff is very kind and authentic, they will do whatever it takes to make the best out of your stay. Everything comes from their heart. They built this place from nothing and are very proud of it. The place is so peaceful, an oasis in the middle of the jungle. Very different experiences offered such as Temazcal and a unique Cenote. All the details are comparable to any ultra luxury hotel. It is a place to call home and feel well treated, my heart stays here!

La verdad pasamos unos días muy lindos... la tranquilidad del lugar y la belleza de la laguna nos dieron la mejor estadía... los espacios compartidos son enormes,la habitación muy bonita, y tiene todo lo necesario para poder cocinar y divertirse en la laguna ( como Kayaks,chalecos , juegos de mesa,libros etc) .. Ramón y Pedro unos genios estaban siempre para lo q necesitábamos... si volvemos no hay dudas q elegiriamos este lugar de nuevo... gracias!!! Te esperamos por Argentina Ramón cdo gustes,gracias x todo..

Todo está increíble, la única excepción es el internet ya que la red es inestable y siempre que te quieres conectar te saca de la página para conectarte. Solo hizo falta una parrilla y microondas, pero de ahí en fuera todo bien

Probably our favorite place along the Yucatán peninsula. So quiet nestled within the jungle. This place is great if your looking to relax and enjoy being amongst nature. One of the most unique airbnb and the heated pool in the morning and evening was a great touch. Staff was very attentive to our needs. Can see this place becoming the go to place in Bacalar in the future once the area is developed. Would love to return here in the future.

Estancia muy agradable, cerca de todo literalmente, en plena zona turística de Playa del Carmen, aunque algo (no tan molesto) ruidoso el área debido a su cercanía con la zona de antros de la ciudad, fuera de ello, la habitación y el lugar, impecables y muy agradables.

Pasamos unos días increíbles en familia, nos gustó mucho el concepto y el esfuerzo que hacen por mantener a los huéspedes satisfechos, con tips y una actitud muy proactiva en todo momento. ¡Regresaremos de nuevo!

This property saved us, we were booked into another location round the corner and upon arrival late at night were unable to stay due to the noise and mess of the property. At 11pm we booked this hotel and the staff were extremely accommodating and extremely helpful and really saved us in our time of need. I would recommend staying here if you are in Valladolid, it is a short walk from the bus station and a lot of the central town activities. The hosts even ran after us in the morning to provide us with some homemade breakfast to have on the go. It’s the little things that make stays memorable.

Lugar elegante, tranquilo y con todos los muebles y accesorios necesarios. Maravillosa azotea con piscina. Como a 7 minutos del centro de la ciudad (en coche).
