We had a great stay over the holiday weekend. We loved the waterfront property and large, fenced yard for our dogs. It was great that pets are allowed for a nominal $100 fee so that we didn't have to board them. If the property didn't accept pets, we likely would not even have taken the trip. The home is deceptively large, with plenty of room for our large family. The living room was very comfortable with a ton of seating for everyone. We enjoyed all being together. As others have mentioned, there were some quirks with the home, mostly because it's older lakefront. There were some bugs in the house, but that's country/lake living. They are also on a septic, so you have to be careful what to flush. We live in the country as well so we were used to it. Plenty of dishes, towels, bedding, etc. Some of the dishes were slightly dirty from the previous guests (I'm guessing) not cleaning thoroughly. We always rewash anyway. Great stay, will go back. This little house was so cute and cozy! It was very clean and we really enjoyed our stay - we will definitely be staying again and would recommend to anyone! Very inviting and peaceful!

Gorgeous little home with the comfiest bed I’ve slept in so far! Everything was squeaky clean and best part of it all.. they had Folgers coffee ready to go in the kitchen! Loved the serene nature of this little texas home and enjoyed the bird watching in the morning. Would visit again for sure!

Great stay with the grandchildren! The property and views are stunning. Beautiful mature trees and lots of windows to admire the lake view. The kids enjoyed fishing and I enjoyed the well stocked kitchen since we were celebrating Thanksgiving with family locally.

This cabin was perfect for our family (9 people). We so enjoyed the mornings sitting on the porch overlooking the lake, drinking coffee and watching the deer. It was quiet and lots of well kept yard area to enjoy. The property manager was very helpful and responsive with whatever we needed.

We had a great time. It was spacious and clean. Only 2 people stayed for our visit but could accommodate 6 more easily. Near lake with wonderful green surroundings. Emory was a short drive to a few restaurants and Brookshire grocery store. Highly recommended for a quiet get away.

We had such a great time! The host was extremely responsive. The kitchen was exceptionally well stocked and the feed for the horses and longhorns was such a fun bonus!

We love staying here it’s a great place if you’re looking to visit lake fork for a fishing trip!

What an amazing experience! Everything was extremely romantic and peaceful - every detail was thought of. A perfect couples getaway. Highly recommend!

First of all the house was large enough for our needs. My parents live close by, but have a small house and we had our family, my sister's family, and parents to accommodate for Christmas. Our adult children came with boyfriends and girlfriends, so the group grew exponentially. I did not realize the house sits on a wedding venue, but it was perfect for us. We were able to sit everyone around the dining room table. Living room was spacious and comfortable. (Bonus) The Barn was beautiful, the chapel and game room were also great and a lake to fish in, awesome. I was able to bring my dogs, and they actually have real kennels on the property. The pool area is fenced, house has tile and hard wood floors, all essential. Angela was a great host, she responded quickly, provided information, even tried to help us locate some tamales. Gave us the tour of the venue and made sure we knew where everything was. Fantastic stay, would definitely do it again in two years.

Amazing place both inside and out. Destine is super responsive and a great host. We enjoyed our stay for a gathering and this the perfect place for a large group. Lake views are stunning.

Thoroughly impressed. Not only was the home beautiful, Heather was extremely helpful. Be sure to take a screenshot of the entry directions before you get there. There’s a gate for the neighborhood that I overlooked East TX has spotty cell phone service, even though I know the area I thought I was covered but I wasn’t. When we pulled up to the gate for the neighborhood, my app and email wouldn’t load. My texts weren’t going thru quickly so I called Heather (1st ever time to ever call a host, so I was nervous). She answered promptly and was kind and patient. She even sent follow up texts afterwards. We went to be closer for a wedding. My houseguest had to cancel because of the weather and the bride ended up staying with us in her place. The bride said this home was exactly what she needed to shake her pre-wedding nerves!!! This home is clean, beautiful, and cozy. I love the decor and the furniture. We didn’t go to the lake, it the lake is always a big hit. 10/10 would stay again

Took a few days away to spend time with my husband and son because of some recent family tragedies I wanted to prioritize them and this was the perfect space to have a little family get away! We had the best time The space is beautiful and Shane was beyond helpful and patient with me!

Great place and location. Loved all the deer and birds. Beautiful view from the back porch. The house was stocked with everything we needed. Great location and close to several towns we wanted to visit. Will definitely book again when we visit the area.

My family enjoyed the outdoor and private space. Talk about the space. My kids were able to bike ride around the property without having to worry about cars. They enjoyed viewing the cattle and goats. We were also happy to see the deer come up by the house at night. Thanks to this experience, my kids love the outdoors again.

Jami was extremely personable and friendly. She came to introduce herself, and was talked to us in such a friendly and welcoming manner. The place was so cute and quaint. Only recommendation is to have a few DVD’s for the DVD player, since there is no WiFi available. :)

For the 2nd time staying here, it absolutely doesn’t disappoint. Fully stocked, amazing amenities, so clean and inviting. Came back this time with 12 year olds for a birthday getaway and they LOVED it. S’mores by the fire pit, hot chocolate out on the screened in patio and games galore. It’s the perfect place to stay. I know I’ll return for a 3rd time and many more. Perfects hosts, they’ve thought of everything.

My family and I throughly enjoyed our stay at Zijun's Tawokanni Lake house and would happily return another time. The house felt safe, was bright, clean, roomy, while affording beautiful lake views to be enjoyed from most every window. The yard was well kept and fenced nicely so our furry friends stayed close, yet it also provided for lots of spaces to relax privately or with others whether warming by the outdoor fire, or walking out closer to the lake.
