This place was wonderful. It was my first stop in India so the perfect place to settle in. It’s a short walk from McLeod Ganj and is surrounded by great amenities including a couple of great restaurants, a shop and a gym. The area is a great mix of Tibetan/Buddhist and Indian cultures. It’s wonderful! The view from the balcony is spectacular and the kitchen is well equipped for self catering. I was remote working so the work desk was ideal but trying to work without getting mesmerised by the view was hard 😂 The team couldn’t have done more for me including getting an Indian SIM card. Thanks guys. I’ll be returning and I can’t wait.

very clean, comfortable apartment. the location is perfect, everything is nearby. the kitchen has everything you might need. very quiet, the balcony is a great place to read or watch the monkeys. Amit was always in contact. She quickly answered any question. Thank you very much, I was happy!

The place was stunning, it had everything as described. Sonam was helpful during the stay. Place was clean and well maintained. it even had slippers which many of Airbnbs don't provide. the place was absolutely right on the money. if you find it available on your dates, Book without thinking, you won't regret. Excelente estadía. La zona es muy tranquila. Con muchas tiendas y café cercanos. Y alejados del ruidoso mercado. La madre de Mira cocina exquisito. Y Mira es una persona muy agradable. El departamento tiene lo justo y necesario para 1 o 2 personas. La cama, sábanas y almohadas son de muy buena calidad. Tienes todos los artículos de cocina necesarios para cocinarte. El depto es limpio y a estrenar. Lo recomiendo y volvere.

We loved our stay in Karuna retreat for 5 days. The place has warm and cozy vibes. The kids loved the media room in the attic. It was a different experience for them. Since we were traveling by our own vehicle, we enjoyed the best of both worlds, the calm and peaceful neighbourhood of Rakkad and the hustle and bustle of Mcleod ganj. Traveling to the Main Square of Mcleodganj took 30 mins. Karuna Retreat is very close to Norbulingka Institute which was a great place to sit and just enjoy some peaceful moments. Star and constellations gazing was our favourite thing to do on the terrace of our beautiful homestay. There were nice home run cafes nearby. A grocery shop was just round the corner. We loved the location. Our host Tenzin was an easy and proactive person to talk to, though we never needed anything as everything was just fine. We loved the collection of books there too. We really hope to come back soon and stay for a longer period of time.

Our stay was absolutely amazing! We were a group of four, and we specifically chose this place because it’s a bit away from the city—offering the perfect peaceful escape. A special thank you to Akshita’s parents for taking such wonderful care of us. Their warm hospitality truly made us feel like we were staying at our own home. The space is incredibly cozy, and the well-equipped kitchen made it easy for us to cook our meals—we barely felt the need to eat out! One of our favorite moments was simply sitting on the balcony, soaking in the serene views. If you’re planning a visit to McLeod Ganj or Dharamshala, I’d highly recommend staying here. this stay is the perfect place to relax, recharge, and calm the mind. Highly recommended!

I think the hosts and the beautifully thought of design are the high points of this place. You will immediately feel at home. The entire place opens up to the mountains. Bathing here is truly an experience :) the indoor as well as outdoor. Himanshu and Sangeeta are just too thoughtful. They’ve even stored tiny tucks so that you never go hungry. Having said that they also serve the most delicious home made food.. Take a bow H & S. you truly have been one of the best hosts I’ve come across :) lots of love

This is not actually an Airbnb, it is a room in the Chokling Arthouse, which is the hotel next to Chokling Monastery. I never did meet Kartik, and when I asked about him, everyone at the guesthouse stared blankly, as if they'd never heard of him. But the hotel is lovely, as is the management, and the room is very spacious and comfortable with spectacular views. I loved my stay here. That said, it is definitely not big enough for three people. This is a suite for two people, even though the hotel will offer you an extra cot at a fee. There is really no where to put it, though, unless one person slept in the sitting area. There is also no kitchen, just a microwave and a few bowls, spoons, etc. There is AC, hot water, and a lovely sitting area. The hotel restaurant has extremely slow service and not many options, but the waiters are extremely friendly. This room opens onto a large public terrace area, which be noisy at night with people doing fire spinning, etc.

This is a spacious, sunlit apartment with 2 nice rooms, good beds, a functional kitchen and bathroom. There is no shower; bucket method only. Namita is a responsive hostess, nice as can be. She responds quickly and handles whatever needed. Plus, she is the best chef in Himachal Pradesh. The location is decent, a grocery store across the street and walking distance to other basics. Kotvali Bazaar and McLeodgage are accessible. I will stay here again when I return to Dharamshala.

The place is absolutely serene and aesthetically pleasing from every corner. The caretaker, Babli is friendly and helpful. I genuinely had the BEST time.
