We enjoyed avery nice stay at Gecko Bungalow. Michelle picked us up at the airport after letting us know what to expect. She regale us with tales of how the resrt became theirs and many stories about the surrounding area. She answered a myriad of questions. The resort was even more beautiful that expected. She helped us set up our dinner delivery and transportation for the following day. We are grateful that we will be staying there at weeks end when we return from Ambergris Caye.

Mark and Gabby were really great hosts! Gabby helped us figure out a few places we needed to shop and made great recommendations. They were always responsive for us to extend our stay (twice) and friendly to speak with. Thank you for everything and we hope to see you again in the future!

Loved the peaceful quiet setting and all the modern conveniences in the house.

I was initially hesitant to book at Rosie's place because it's in a Village, but it exceeded my expectations. It's not far from the capital city Belmopan. The drive to Xunantunich took us about 50 mins max, all other attractions were in a driving distance. The area is peaceful and quiet, with an electric gate and security cameras for peace of mind. The house is incredibly welcoming, and the kitchen is fully equipped for meal prep, plus a washer and dryer for added convenience. The host, Silvia, was warm and kind, greeting us with a fruit basket. Thank you, Silvia and Rosie, for a wonderful stay! I highly recommend Rosie's place—it's worth every penny, and I’ll definitely return.

Lovely Airbnb and close to local amenities. Extra touches( vase of flowers). Hosts very attentive and communicative and helpful in booking excursions. Great well written host manual with recommendations! Highly recommend!!!!

We stayed at Rusty Blue for one night prior to our departure from the airport after our two week stay in San Pedro. Melissa was very accommodating allowing us to drop off our luggage early so we could go on an excursion. Check-in included Melissa showing us around her place in a super friendly manner. The shower was great, beds comfortable, and she had plenty of condiments in the fridge to support some cooking that we did before our departure. A great place to stay with only a 10 minute drive to the airport. Melissa also recommended Toni’s Shuttle Transfers as our transportation and he was also excellent. He even took us to and from a kayaking excursion and booked the tour for us. Well done, all around! We thank Melissa for her support in making our trip to Belize a memorable and positive experience!!

We needed a last minute place to stay when the airlines cancelled our flight out of Belize. They told all the passengers that there were not enough hotel rooms and for passengers to book aribnb if they could. We were traveling with another couple so quickly booked this place. We had no idea of where it was located or surroundings. We caught a cab and needed additional directions as the taxi driver was not familiar with the area. the host was very helpful when the driver called her so he could find the location. I later saw on the description that well written directions were provided but in the stress and panic to find something and trying to look from my phone I did not see it. The host was also very helpful in helping us place a delivery order for a nearby restaurant as we did not have a car and did not feel safe in the area to walk. While the surrounding area is not too appealing the host takes pride as the inside was updated and clean. I am happy we booked here.

There are plenty of great AirBnBs. Most are strictly business, which is totally fine, but there is a genuine passion about Michelle's Gecko Bungalows that make this place feel special. The rooms are uniquely curated with a balance of fun forest aesthetics and cozy comforts. The property is private, secure, and has a great vibe to it... The evening lighting really brings the place to life. As much as we loved all of this, I was actually most impressed with the level of service and communication Michelle provided. We met a couple who were on their second stay in as many years because they had previously been just as impressed with Michelle as we were... And you can bet that when we come back to Belize, we'll be staying here again.
