Overall, I enjoyed my stay here. The cabin felt clean and comfortable, just don’t expect luxury. The kitchen had everything I needed. The shower head was loose, but the hosts said someone would come fix it the next day, which I’m assuming they did. I only stayed one night, so I wouldn’t know. The location is convenient, right off of the road, but still felt “remote” enough for auroras. One important thing - if you are coming for the hot tub (which I was) it is worth confirming with the hosts that it is working properly. I was disappointed to find that there was snow inside when I arrived, and couldn’t fill it with hot water. The management company was nice to give me a partial refund, which I was very grateful for. Overall, I’d recommend!

We loved our stay on the farm. The host family was very helpful and friendly, the accompdation was lovely and clean as well as very private and meeting all of the animals really made the stay special.

Erg leuk huisje in een prachtige omgeving. De hottub was heerlijk warm!

L’emplacement est discret, paisible, appartement était propre, il y avait un jacuzzi à proximité. Tout s’est bien passé, je recommande.

Fin beliggenhed. Tilpas afsides til at se nordlys. Vi så nordlys vores første aften. Spaen er overdækket så man ikke kan sidde deri og så nordlyset, men tilgengæld slipper man for vind og regn. Flere restauranter i byen 10 min derfra. Vi lavede selv mad for køkkenet var ganske fint udstyret til det. Tog gerne hertil igen.

Lovely and cozy cabin in August farm. Equipped with everything you would need. We had some problems with the heating the first night but August was super responsive and fixed everything making our stay perfect

Very clean and functional bungalow. Great level of privacy. Good heating despite the cold temperatures outside. This was a fantastic spot to look out for Northern lights! We got lucky and saw a couple at night around 10pm in late January. The host, based at the campsite’s reception, was also very helpful and advised us with a few exciting nearby things to see or do. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends.

Veldig flott overnattingssted. Alt var lagt til rette for å hoppe til sengs når vi ankom, akkurat lik vi ba om. Det var fint, ryddig og hadde fasilitene som trengtes.

We loved staying here. The surrounding mountains is beautiful and the cottage was clean and cozy. The kitchen, while small, is well stocked and we were able to cook simple meals here. We were able to see northern lights around here which was the highlight of our trip!

Bertha Maria er en god og imødekommende vært. Hvis man vil opleve uberørt og autentisk del af Island er hytten lige stedet at vælge. De islandske heste går lige uden for vinduet og dagligdagen på hestegården udspiller sig lige uden for døren. Hytten ligger centralt placeret ift. mange seværdigheder. Seljalandsfoss kan ses fra køkkenvinduet og Vestmannaeyjar kan ses i horisonten fra stuevinduerne. Vi kommer helt sikkert igen.

Nice place to stay for 3 people. Clean modern accommodation with great views and a very friendly dog that came to say good morning. Host was very responsive which I appreciate.

Die Unterkunft von Jon ist etwas ganz besonderes. Wenn man Glück hat landet er mit dem Flugzeug direkt vor der Küche. Es ist Natur pur und man hat alles was man braucht. Sofort wieder!!

Wir sind in der Dunkelheit und Regen angereist, was die Suche nicht ganz einfach machte, aber als wir die Tür in das Haus geöffnet haben, waren wir sehr zufrieden, denn alles sah so aus wie erwartet. Und da es draußen wirklich ungemütlich war, war es sehr schön eine gemütlich eingerichtete und vorgewärmte Unterkunft auf Zeit erreicht zu haben. Die Kommunikation mit Sigrun Anna war immer sehr nett, schnell und informativ.
