“A Perfect Stay with Stunning Views!” I had an amazing stay at this AirBnB! The location was perfect—peaceful, yet close to everything I needed. One of the highlights was the beautiful walk nearby, which offered breathtaking views that made every morning feel magical. Whether enjoying a cup of coffee outside or taking in the scenery during a stroll, the surroundings were absolutely stunning. The home itself was spotless, comfortable, and well-equipped, making my stay truly enjoyable. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing and scenic getaway!

We had a wonderful two-week stay at this beautiful home in Whanganui. The house is set on a hill with stunning views from every window—it was such a peaceful and relaxing place to wake up each day. It comfortably fit our group of four and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The home was clean, well-equipped, and felt very warm and welcoming. We’d absolutely recommend this place and would happily stay again!

We stayed here with 12 friends for my husband’s 30th, and it was absolutely perfect. He loves native bush and birds, so this place was a dream. The house feels like a fairytale—spacious, warm, and beautifully designed. The kitchen is well-equipped and flows easily to the patio, where we barbecued and dined outdoors. There’s a handy kitchen window for passing food outside, and both indoor and outdoor tables made it easy to adapt to the weather. The property sits on 7 acres of native bush with walking tracks, birds like piwakawakas following us, and a magical glow worm walk at night. There's an outdoor fire area with couches, ambient lighting, and a speaker system that connects throughout the house and outside. It’s perfect for reconnecting with friends and nature. We left feeling relaxed, happy, and so grateful. Huge thanks to the hosts for the clear communication and thoughtful touches. If you're thinking of booking—do it. You won’t regret it.

The home was clean, comfortable and perfect for our family of 3’s needs. We enjoyed our stay and definitely would reconsider if we were to visit again. Property managers were responsive, helpful and gracious. One minor issue - we felt that ‘there were too many rules’ - this didn’t take away from our overall strongly positive impression, however. Walkable distance to the town and good options for meals - The Cypress Tree and Osteria Ohakune were excellent.

This is our second time staying here and it was just as wonderful as last time. The beach is a five minute walk away and the local Eatery is about seven minutes walk away. The bach has everything we need and it's wonderful that we can take our dog with us.

Lovely place to stay. Beautiful surroundings and a unique house. Good location to explore Whanganui. Only suggestion would be to bring slippers for cooler nights.

The lodge was everything we needed for a boys weekend away. Will be planning to go back in the future

Came as a large family looking for somewhere to base ourselves for the Tongariro crossing. Plenty of space for us to kick back & relax. Host was exceptional, the place is well looked after and suitably equipped for both hot & cold weather. Kitchen had all we needed and more. BBQ was great, nice outdoor space to enjoy food and drinks.
