So happy to have stayed in Susanne's home! She was so warm and welcoming at our check-in and was ready to answer questions that I now see were already answered in the posting but I had overlooked hahaha. She was kind nonetheless and was helpful! My husband, 2 year old, parents, mother-in-law, and aunt & uncle stayed the weekend for a nearby wedding. We were so pleased to see that there were toys and books for our son! He absolutely loved the home, especially having ample space outside to play and see the cows too! It was a beautiful and peaceful property! Just a note that I wanted to add for future stays in case it's helpful for anyone planning - the full bathroom upstairs is shared between the single beds (bedroom 3 in the pictures) and the queen (bedroom 4). The double bed (bedroom 2) would have to enter through either of the other two rooms to use that bathroom. And then the downstairs bathroom is the only one downstairs. It worked out perfectly fine for us and our arrangements!

Ample space, fully stocked, rustic charm, great stay for two couples. Super clean throughout, looks just like the photos. Large bathrooms, one on second floor and one on first off kitchen, plenty of linens. Large dining and living rooms, stayed for two days and there were rooms we never even used. We did not use the outdoor space but it felt inviting. Lots of room to park, only minutes from downtown Culpeper full of great restaurants. ~15 minutes to local wineries, don’t miss Grey Ghost! Friendly host, very accommodating, highly recommend this house!

We had a wonderful experience! The yurt is lovely and so well cleaned and cared for. The views are so peaceful. Douglas was very communicative and recommend a most wonderful hike!

Was a wonderful stay here. The view is beautiful and it was located in a perfect location for day trips over to the Shenandoah Mountains. Very well stocked kitchen and lots of coffee was provided. My only complaint was that if you are looking to have no interaction with the host then this may not be the place. I am fine with it as I loved the suggestions and connecting with who I am staying with. However their home is quite close to the rental, so not as private as I had assumed. Overall loved the stay here and would do so again.

The house was perfect for our family Middleburg weekend stay. It was clean, cozy, well stocked, and centrally located. The tavern across the street was so convenient and added a local feel. We would definitely stay here again when we are in the area.

We had a great stay at Patty's guest house. She had a printed list of recommendations that was super helpful. The space was cozy and we enjoyed walking the grounds and feeding the sheep. We will definitely recommend it to friends.

Beautiful location. The cottages are a shared space with there being a smaller one behind the rock cottage. Wasn’t really expecting that but they left the next day so we were able to enjoy our stay with some more privacy. Hot tub was fantastic, bathroom spacious, kitchen accommodating. The walk around the meadows seeing all the animals was great. Would recommend.

I was so thrilled to come back to the yurt after last visiting in 2017! My life is very different now but I found the same peace of mind and truly enjoyed the gorgeous space. Everything was so beautiful, comfortable, clean, and my stay was effortless. I would come back anytime and I love telling people about staying here.

Our stay was awesome. Amy and Owen were friendly, super responsive, and very helpful. They also helped us out with kids things and other items we needed, even brought us down sleds when it snowed for the kids to use. It was also very comfortable there and it had all the amenities we needed for a month long stay. We would definitely stay here again!

River rose was a wonderful getaway for our family and friends. Perfect Location for spending time near Shenandoah National Park. Shabina was great host, quickly responded to anything we needed. Thank you for a perfect place to get away!

This property was as expected based on the listing. Clean and off the beaten path in a quiet area. Recommended if that's what you're looking for. Host was very commutative and helpful.

Joy's was a great place to enjoy our family vacation. The home was clean, comfortable and accurately described. We very much enjoyed spending our time by the outdoor fire. The desk space also was a nice amenity for remote work.

Absolutely stunning place! Its most definitely beautiful and worth the price. It’s also where I got married and I wouldn’t change a thing. I couldn’t have asked for a better host. Jim made sure I had everything I needed and checked in a few times to make sure everything was good. I would highly recommend for a micro-wedding or even a small event!! I was also left with flowers & a special card from the elmwood farm. Such a wonderful place.

The stay was wonderful. There is plenty of room for family and friends with multiple areas for seating and entertaining. The supply closet is well stocked with towels, linens, and paper supplies. Also, there are games, puzzles, books, and movies available in addition to the combination billiard/ping pong table to provide indoor entertainment. For outdoors, there is a gas grill, hot tub, fire pit, and cozy swing. A great place for gathering with friends and family.

Peaceful Haven lived up to its name! It felt like a little house in the woods. Check in was easy and everything was spotless. I felt right at home right away. I enjoyed sitting in the sunroom sipping my coffee and having dinner at The Office. And always, the lovely sound of birds. I was able to relax and unwind. Thank you, Gita, for a lovely stay! I will be back!

Vicki’s home and property were a beautiful place to spend a birthday weekend with my best friends and three dogs. It was very quiet and peaceful but still very well located near wineries, restaurants, and other great outdoor attractions. I would definitely recommend a stay here especially if you have kids or dogs. The house felt even bigger in person and there are many spaces for your group to spread out and enjoy. It’s a great retreat and so close to DC! Vicki was also a wonderful host and very quick to be responsive to my questions.

House was beautiful, neighborhood and views were very peaceful and quiet. The house had essentially everything we needed during our stay. Our dog LOVED the backyard and being able to run around freely. It was her first time seeing cows and, once she built up the courage to sniff and say hi, it was tough getting her to come back inside. I’m pretty sure she had a better time than we did. Upon arrival, we discovered one of the kitchen faucets was leaking onto the counter and under the sink. I gave the host a call, and within a few minutes, she and her husband came by to stop the leak. They were very friendly, personable, and welcoming, and a pleasure to chat with. We loved our stay and look forward to coming back soon!

This stay is everything you'd expect it to be! My 2 year old absolutely loved looking out at the horses and meeting the pups on the property. The place was very comfortable and clean and close to a lot of amenities. The host was very, very friendly and even let us watch a polo lesson! I would absolutely recommend this stay!

Highly recommend! We have family that lives locally but it’s so nice to visit and have your own space. This was perfect . Spotless, cute, great location. Easy check in and check out.

The host was responsive to our needs. Arrived to a quiet, somewhat private (a dog welcomed us on our arrival lol) and beautiful area, the home was spotless, warm and had everything we needed. Grocery shops aren’t too far away for any last minute purchases. Loved the clean and spacious hot tub which is definitely needed on colder nights. Wood was provided for the fire pit so making s’mores was a comfy experience. 😌The bonus about this place is the view at night, so many stars! If you’re into Astrophotography or stargazing, this is the perfect place. 💕
