It was really lovely, the added bonus was the pool as well as the amazing staff who gave us so many recommendations. They helped us with catering us also for evening meals which were delicious and great size for portions. The hotel room was really comfortable and clean, very spacious too. There isn’t much noise around you at all as it’s just off the main road. The hosts were so friendly and easy to speak to if we had any questions or wanted any suggestions and very responsive.

Our family had a wonderful stay at this villa! The view was absolutely breathtaking and provided the perfect backdrop for a relaxing getaway. The staff were amazing—always attentive, friendly, and responsive to all our requests, including accommodating the needs of our toddler, which we greatly appreciated. A standout feature of our stay was the amazing cocktails! They were expertly crafted and added a special touch to our evenings as we enjoyed the stunning scenery. Additionally, the staff guided us to a beautiful local waterfall, where we had a fantastic time exploring and enjoying nature. It was a memorable highlight of our trip. The only area for improvement is the food. While it was decent, we’d love to see more fresh vegetables included in the menu to enhance the dining experience. Overall, it was a delightful stay, and we’d definitely recommend this villa for anyone looking for a peaceful and scenic retreat with top-notch hospitality, and opportunities to explore local beauty

staying in Martins Villa has been the highlight of our trip. We enjoyed every second of it. The large garden and pool offer so much tranquility, with the view of the lake and rice paddies, feels like paradise. bedroom and bathroom very clean and a nice ambience. tastefully decorated, ambient lighting and mosquito net to avoid meeting critters in the middle of the night. the family of hosts prepared the most tasteful homecooked meals and where always there in case of any questions or requests from our side. Would totally recommend to everybody to book a few nights in this extraordinary place!

We really enjoyed our short time in the rainforest. The house is sorrounded by ricefields and you can just sit and watch the birds all day. We went on a rainforest walk with Thisarn, which was really great and enjoyed the rest of our time relaxing in the nature. The food we got served was delicious, we fell even more in love with Sri Lankan cuisine. Thisarn also organized a driver for us to get us to our next location, which was really helpful! Thank you for everything!

We thoroughly enjoyed staying here and my daughters were excited to have their own little house! It was well set up with a restaurant across the road for breakfast, lunch or dinner, and also packed breakfast for the safari if needed. The hosts were very friendly and showed us lots of birds and animals in the lush garden. They also shared badminton nets and cricket bats for our daughters to play and put up big hammocks to relax in. They were able to arrange everything such as the safari tour, a trip to the local Buddhist temple and to see a colony of fruit bats, and a car to our next destination. I’d recommend going for the 6 hour safari as you can go a bit further into the park and not be around as many jeeps. We saw elephants, mongoose, monitor lizards, the giant Sri Lankan squirrel, crocodiles, wallowing buffalo and 20+ kinds of birds. Recommended as a place to stay near the safari park entrance.

Lovely little cabin in a wonderful, secluded location. High quality finish in the bedroom & bathroom - everything appeared new, was working, clean and maintained. The balcony area is a peaceful and scenic place to sit out and it's only a minute or two down to the river for a dip. The on-site restaurant serves good quality food at reasonable prices, which can be delivered to the room. Friendly and helpful staff on site who help as needed but also give privacy. Highly recommended.

Staying at Mashita's place was a serene escape from the hustle and bustle. Surrounded by stunning scenery, it's the perfect spot to unwind and reconnect with nature. The tranquil ambiance truly allows you to unplug and rejuvenate your senses. Highly recommend for a peaceful getaway! Hosts truly elevated our experience. They were incredibly friendly, responsive, and always went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. Their impeccable manners and genuine care for their guests made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. It's rare to find such a gracious host, and we're grateful for their warmth and attentiveness throughout our stay.

My family and I had a lovely stay at Chaminda's place. As a new AirBnB property there were a few minor things that could be improved on, but I have no doubt they will sort those out quickly. It's got a great view of Bopath Ella, but Dodan Ella is also nearby and was very much enjoyed. A big thank you to Chandrakumar who helped organise our meals also

This airbnb was a highlight of our trip. Came here to hike devil’s staircase to the waterfall. The view through the valley and all the way out to Udawalawe national park is stunning. And the staff there were so attentive always offering tea and offering to pack a breakfast when we were going on a hike early in the AM which was really helpful. The room was simple and clean and cool at night due to being in the mountains. Cool enough i wore a sweater outside. Food was delicious, sri lankan dinner was one of our best on the trip. They also provided insider knowledge on local hikes which was great when we had an extra morning and wanted to get one more hike in. Note that it is not easy to get to! Recommend either hiring an SUV or being dropped at the train station and going the rest of the way by tuk tuk which can handle the uneven road and steep decline much better. Overall highly recommend
