Niall is a very welcoming and friendly host. His property is located in a peaceful and picturesque location and affords lovely views across the valley. The property was clean and tidy and Niall thoughtfully left eggs and milk for us on arrival. Village train station very close by, and Whitby is within walking distance (for keen ramblers). All good!

A very enjoyable and therapeutic stay at Lauren's. I felt very safe in the flat. Everything was comfortable, cosy and homely. I wish I could have stayed longer. In terms of amenities, the big Sainsbury's by the roundabout was great and I had a couple of 'Sunday' lunches at Bolam's plus a coffee in shop near the post office/general store. Mainly, I was using the X12 bus (just across the road) to get to and from work but the location is very convenient for the road network, linking across the region.

We had a great stay in Whitby the cottage was so cosy, very clean and two mins walk to the centre, bus station and Bagdale Hall. We managed to park our car on the main road driving down towards the roundabout which is a short walk away to the property. Deb left us a parking permit but we didn’t need to use it. Great place for our mini break😊

Always nice to stay here. With family in the area, an ideal quiet place. Not far from the town and beach - all walkable.

Great stay, ideal location especially as it came with a parking spot. Clear instructions to find the apartment. Extremely spacious, with plenty of storage. Well placed for exploring the local area, including into the town centre and the shops. The hosts were extremely responsive with any questions that we had. Overall, fantastic stay.

A great place. We had the mother in law with us so the downstairs bedroom and shower room were brilliant for her. Easily accessible with a lovely host. We will stay again when up visiting next time! Thank you Cate.

We had a terrific four nights at the Boiling House. Everything about the cottage, the village, the amenities, the area, the walks, and everything else, was superb and exactly what we wanted out of a (too) short break. David is great… communications, access, knowledge, etc. was perfect, and we had some nice chats when we bumped into him in town. We’re nothing but really happy with everything and can’t thank David enough for providing such a great experience.

Stayed here for a 2 night New Year break, we were 2 couples. Everything about this cottage is outstanding; everything you would wish for with regards to cleanliness and comfort is exceptional. Everything is finished to a high standard. Having 2 bathrooms is a bonus. The log burner/stove is a great feature, and the hosts kindly lit it before we arrived, which made it very cosy. The hosts were very responsive, and answered any questions very quickly. Would highly recommend this property.

we had a short stay at the bungalow, stayed over the weekend for a family wedding. Everything was as we expected from the information, was lovely clean and spacious., with some personal, practical touches on arrival. it's a lovely place to stay and very accessible to the coast and lovely places to visit.. Denise is friendly and responsive . Would recommend and if travelling on that coast in the future would stay again .

Fabulous short break. Wish we could have stayed longer. Tea in the sun on the patio was just brilliant each morning. Loved it here. Cod and Lobster food excellent. Fabulous walks. Museum and craft shops so interesting. The house is lovely with the best views.

Beautiful little seaside village, the house is full of character, comfortable and clean with everything you need. Communication with Emma was spot on throughout. The whole experience is definitely fully worthy of my 5 star review. Thank you Emma, we will be back.

We had a lovely stay, the house was perfect for our needs and accommodated 4 adults and 4 young teenagers without problems. It was very well located for walks along the beach with a Sainsbury's Local and take-away's less than 10 minutes walk away. Once we were done for the day we could put a movie on in the spacious front room or play a board game around the kitchen table. We'll definitely use again for future visits to Marske.

My adult son and I stayed for three nights in Brian’s property . The apartment is immaculate and just as described with high quality fixtures and fittings. Beds, linen and pillows particularly stand out. Plenty to see and do within walking distance, frequent bus service from Whitby to surrounding villages and towns as well as train station within walking distance- if you want a different method of transport. For those driving to Whitby the free parking is a real bonus ( residents permit provided with rental property) . If you get the chance to book this place- take it- highly recommend.

Had a very peaceful and relaxing one night stay at Michael's place, unfortunately it was for work purposes but the village and surroundings looked beautiful and we definitely would have liked to have spent longer exploring. The flat is very peaceful and comfortable and had everything we needed. Beds and furniture were comfy, WiFi was great (I was working so that really helped), kitchen was well equipped and the view of the sea from the window was lovely!

There were some initial issues which were sorted immediately when I contacted the host. Fab communication from the host. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend for families, our son absolutely loved it.

Lee was fantastic at helping with my queries. The location was spot on for where I needed to be. Would stay again for sure.

A lovely stay at Max’s Hideaway. The apartment was spotlessly clean and the welcoming pack, with biscuits and wine included, was a special touch. The apartment is conveniently situated for the centre of Whitby and West Cliff. We parked our car in the allocated parking space and there it remained for the whole holiday. The host let us know we could park early and informed us when we could get into the apartment, which was much earlier than expected and much appreciated. We would certainly recommend to others. A lovely homely and very spacious place with everything we needed nearby. Absolutely perfect for a young family exploring the beautiful seaside treasures of Runswick Bay and Sandsend. We’ll definitely be returning.
