Had a short stay at Barley Croft lodge. Ray was great he rang to check if everything was ok with our lodge and was very polite and helpful. The lodge is in lovely surroundings with lots to do locally. It was ideal for our 1 year old daughter who could wander on the veranda safely and look at the two donkeys in the adjacent field. The lodge has everything you need and is close by the villages of Melbourne and Breedon have places to visit. An all around great experience. Thank you Ray.

We had a lovely 3 night stay. What really made it for us was Laura and ash’s kindness and warmth, the location and the beautiful outside space including the great hot tub. It’s such a peaceful location with country/woodland walks from the front door but villages/amenities within easy reach. There are loads of lovely places to visit within 30 mins drive. The chalet is exactly as shown in the photos. It’s not brand new but was warm, comfy and clean with everything in good working order. We all slept well. The shower is not the most powerful but we found it fine. I think it’s really good value for what is on offer.

Excellent hosts, beautiful property in beautiful surroundings, we could not have had a better experience, and we’ll be coming back, next time for a longer stay, we would have travelled 100’s of miles to stay here, if you’re looking for a quiet relaxed break, look no further

We have had the most amazing few days in the Damson pod. It was so clean, spacious and had everything we needed for our stay. The outdoor space is beautiful and the children loved playing freely in the sectioned off field. They loved saying hello to the alpacas every morning, and Sarah invited us to come and feed them too which my daughter was delighted about! Sarah made us feel really welcome, provided discounts for the local area and put a lovely little welcome pack with biscuits and drinks which was so nice! We had the best time and wish we could have stayed longer!

Just finished a lovely couple of days stay with our two teen girls and dogs. Well fitted out and very clean cabin with comfy beds and linen. Great space to relax and unwind with fab restaurants and shops within the Marina. Rob is a great host providing loads of info plus additionally going above and beyond when our car had a fault guiding us to a garage locally who fixed the problem the next day! We’ll be back!

A beautiful cottage, with a charming layout, making the most of the fantastic views. We could have sat watching the views for hours and were only sorry we didn't have more time to enjoy the terrace! It was well appointed and felt very homely. We loved how convenient it was for walking into Matlock Bath (only 5 minutes) with its fish and chip shops, ice cream parlours, amusements and lovely riverside walk and 2 play parks. What a great location for us as a family and it was very handy to be able to leave the car at the house and walk to the cable cars for the Heights of Abraham. We appreciated the milk and tin of chocolate biscuits. One tip for anyone who visits is to park at the top of the house, and not take the car around to the front of the house to save having to reverse up the steep hill as the road at the bottom has now been cordoned off. Thank you for sharing your property. We really enjoyed our stay!

We have had such an amazing stay. The hut is just stunning, very clean and welcoming and the little added touches chocolates ,Prosecco, fresh milk in fridge just made all the difference so thank you. We have had such an amazing relaxing stay so peaceful and private. The hot tub was lovely. Local restaurant walking distance and service and food great. We will definitely be returning soon and have already recommended to friends. If you are after a nice relaxing break then this is it.

We just visited and had the most brilliant time, the Airbnb was a walk from the Lincoln Centre and upon arrival we were greeted by great hosts who gave us a tour of the property and a few excellent recommendations. The property was perfect for the two of us and squeaky clean! The hot tub was great and very easy to use, we even were able to order takeaway to the cottage despite its quiet and obscure location. The bottle of bubbly left in the fridge for us was a perfect addition to the stay. For any cat lovers special mention for the two propriety cats who we absolutely adored! We would not hesitate to return one day in the future and will be sure to recommend to our friends and family for their own visits.

We absolutely loved it here, it was very peaceful and relaxing, the hot tub amazing and the host was reachable at all times. The welcome goodies were a lovely surprise. We will certainly be back.
