We had a lovely time. Lee is super responsive & really helpful. The house has absolutely everything you could possibly need. The hot tub & pool was fantastic & we absolutely loved it! Great base to explore the north east. Thanks for having us!

Genuinely one of the best weekends of my partner & I’s life. the house is even bigger in person with beautiful facilities, views & features. The host Michael was incredible & very helpful in providing a perfect experience. i would recommend this place to everyone, you won’t be disappointed. After one tour of the property we were contemplating staying longer because we knew we wouldn’t want to leave. There is so much to do with a private hot tub, pool, TV, etc. one of our favourite features was the glass ceiling above the bed which gives you a perfect view of the stars at night. if i could give more than 10 stars i would, the perfect weekend all thanks to this beautiful property & it’s host, michael.

We had an amazing time staying at Silton Hall. It was a gathering of old friends, their kids and dogs and the house suited this perfectly. Pros: - Rooms were beautiful& clean & there was plenty of space for different families to have their own spaces and lots of loos and showers. - garden had stunning views - pool was bigger than we thought, and perfect temp. - Kitchen was stocked better than expected Cons: - sheep loose in the garden on arrival and had three dogs with us - couldn’t make use of the great garden, in case of an incident. Property management took a while to respond and did not send anyone to help. instead, they suggested we put dogs on leads… - heating was off on arrival and took a while to heat up. No curtains on the single glazed front door. Would recommend they put heating on for arrival and get some curtains for the doors. - no kindling and limited fire wood which we needed as the house was so cold - only a couple of loo rolls provided

Quaint location, everything you needed right on your doorstep (pub, bakery/shop, walks & activities). Peaceful setting, private outdoor space. Well equipped kitchen, with well put together hamper full of lovely goodies! The Toiletries smelled delightful, the towel nice crisp and white. Beds were comfortable and roomy. Pool table was an absolute hit with the family. Overall a great property in a lovely location, would definitely recommend and would love to visit another property on the rowley estate portfolio!

A welcoming and lovely place to stay. Christina and Johnny were very accommodating and friendly, the small touches like having a play mat for our baby was lovely. The house was well stocked with baby books, toys, and the kitchen had everything we needed. A bonus to visit the animals in the back garden too!

We recently stayed at the Old School House and had a wonderful experience. The building’s rich history and unique character made it a truly memorable stay. The peaceful, rural setting allowed us to fully relax and enjoy the quiet surroundings. It was the perfect spot for a restful break, with plenty of charm and a warm, inviting atmosphere. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. We would definitely recommend the Old School House for anyone looking to escape and unwind in a tranquil, beautiful setting.

This is a great property in a perfect place to explore Knaresborough, Harrogate and beyond. John was easily contactable and gave very clear instructions on how to locate and access the property. The property was spotlessly clean on arrival, with a well equipped kitchen and very comfortable beds. To note, the third bedroom is very small (one single bed) with no room to fit a travel cot in. We had a wonderful stay and would return!

Our little family of 3 absolutely loved our stay. The view from the living room is amazing and very cosy with the wood stove. Very comfortable and well thought out space with everything you need. Will definitely be back! thanks!

Beautiful place in peaceful location. Spotlessly clean - looked like everything was new. Very comfortable furniture and bed and plenty of hot water and pressure in the shower. We didn't cook but there was everything provided if we had wanted to. A totally relaxing location we would love to return to.

The Farmhouse (and annexe) were EXCEPTIONAL! We gather as a group of friends on an annual basis and this was by far the best house we have stayed in. We found the property to be spotlessly clean on arrival, welcoming - owing to the generous welcome hamper - and ideally located for exploring York and the surrounding areas. The proximity to nearby amenities (like M&S Food and a petrol station) was convenient, but by far the greatest advantage of the location was the ease of catching the bus into town - it leaves, pretty much, from the end of the driveway and takes 10 minutes to reach York centre. The house perfectly met our needs - it was spacious, tastefully decorated, and provided an excellent social space for our group, while also allowing for privacy when required. Julie was superb at responding to any queries before and during our stay and made us feel very welcome. Excellent in every respect!

This was a great base for a short break in York, with parking and a 10min river walk to the city walls. Gaynor provided helpful welcome info in advance & as Gaynor says, "this is my home" with lots of little extra personal touches that made this a lovely stay. Would definitely recommend and hope to stay again.

Louise and Andy were great hosts. The house has 2 very comfortable large beds, was very warm and comfortable and had the two lovely outdoor areas. Having three loos was an added bonus! Communication was excellent and we really enjoyed our stay. Great value for money and would stay again if in the area.

We stayed at Virginia House as it was close to a local wedding venue. The house was lovely, very homely, modern but with lots of character and very well appointed with everything we could have possibly wanted. It was perfect for our adult family getting ready for the wedding and relaxing the day after. We had a refreshing walk and then a delicious meal at the local pub and the locals were all very friendly. We would all recommend Karen’s property and would love to stay again.

We had a lovely stay for 2 nights at this beautiful and cozy home. It was so well organised and felt warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived. We loved the charming decor and all the thoughtful details. Anthony was a wonderful host- approachable, kind, and very helpful. His clear instructions made everything smooth and stress free. The nearby forest walks were really nice, and the stream running through the woods made it so refreshing. The local people were friendly and helpful. The house itself was such a delight that we can’t wait to come back again. Highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a peaceful and comfortable stay.
