Staying at the Green Farm is truly a joyful and must-have experience when in the Troy area. John is an exceptional host, providing meticulous care and attention not only to his guests but to the home itself. From the beginning, you are welcomed by beautiful greyhounds and a thoughtful host who prepares the most delicious breakfast! I stayed in the John Waters room, which was amazing—very eclectic, remarkably clean, and the perfect little nook to rest after scouting around town. Whether you’re there for work or leisure, all the amenities provided are top-notch. I definitely will be going back, dreaming of another little getaway!

Susan is a wonderful host and a very lovely person! We had a very nice time staying at Susan's place! It was very warmly feeling to get a delicious breakfast made by Susan, and we especially loved the apple cobbler made by Susan. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality :). We would love to come to your place again!

As the other reviews have mentioned, John is a beyond excellent host!!! And very responsive! He is also very knowledgeable and helpful regarding shops and restaurants in Troy. Nigel and Margaret (John’s greyhounds) are also very good companions at this Inn! The decor in the rooms and in the shared rooms and hallways is just beautiful and very interesting! And he serves delicious homemade breakfast! With alfresco dining as an option in the warmer weather.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I found the inn last minute and couldn’t have been more pleased. The place is gorgeous and clean. John is the most kind and gracious host, and breakfast was delicious. We stayed because we had a concert in Saratoga Springs. What a beautiful and comfortable place to come home to for the night. We hope our adventures bring us to Troy again soon.

We could not have loved the Gardner Farm Inn and John more! Everything was perfect - both our air-conditioned bedroom and bathroom were spacious, beautifully appointed, and extremely clean. The king-sized bed in our room was deliciously comfortable and quiet. Our breakfast was sumptuous and delectable. John is a delight, and went out of his way to accommodate our arrival. His two dogs are the sweetest, gentlest creatures imaginable. And you will fall in love with the 1790's era house and its amazing collection of curios. Highly recommend staying here - it's a real treat!

Very unique and great, clean place to stay! The temperature-controlled fire place was so enjoyable. The host was very responsive and friendly. Would highly recommend

Charles was a wonderful and gracious host, and his house is beautiful! It was lovely chatting with Charles in the morning over coffee and a local pastry he brought! This place comes highly recommended!

Notre séjour fut court mais très agréable. Nous voyageons avec un chien qui fut très bien accepté. Là commodité de la chambre pour le chien était parfaite, porte privée direct à l’extérieur. Très belle attention au petit déjeuner. Charles est un hôte très sympathique.

Anita's place is in the perfect location if you need to be close to the Airport. It is about a ten-minute's drive. Anita is super friendly, gracious and organized. She met me at the door, showed me my room and bathroom, and was very flexible in regard to allowing me to arrive fairly late to her home. Her room and bathroom are pleasant and clean. I spent only one night there; I arrived in the evening, and left for an early-morning flight from Albany International. Thank you, Anita!!!
