We had a lovely time staying here! GORGEOUS location and so peaceful. Felt right at home here, it was truly a beautiful stay.

What a beautiful little place! We absolutely loved it here. A very very peaceful location with a wonderful view. The accommodation itself was so cosy and beautifully decorated. It had everything we needed (apart from a kettle that we couldn’t seem to find). The hot tub was super special and would have been PERFECT for aurora viewing had the cloud coverage not been 100%! Regardless we loved relaxing in it, a very special place. The only negative was the bedsheet was old and bobbly and for the price paid I would have expected a new, un-bobbly sheet! Apart from that, absolutely fantastic!

I would 100% stay here again. The unit is fully stocked with everything you would need. Including salt, pepper, oil, tin foil. We stopped for groceries on the way from the airport. So glad we did! I recommend bringing coffee beans for the fancy machine. The fridge is large. The tv has Netflix and Disney. The hot tub stays the same temp as it just keeps refreshing itself. Iceland is magical. And this find was perfection for a party of 3 adults. Also the beds were incredibly comfortable. I slept like a dream. The home is plenty warm as well. The host is extremely responsive although we had zero issues as the instructions are clear before you arrive. We communicated to say thank you for a lovely stay. Would stay here again.

Excellent séjour, bel emplacement, chalet cosy

This cabin was an absolute dream for our honeymoon. It felt super remote and secluded, with incredible vistas of the snowy mountains and valley below. We felt lucky to be the highest cabin on the hill side, it felt really private and we enjoyed the long track up to the location. We had everything we needed, efficient heating, great kitchen and the hot tub was absolutely perfect (though please note that sulfurous water will reversably tarnish silver jewellery!) No complaints, thanks for making our trip so damn special xx

“The best air b&b we have stayed in”. The guesthouse we stayed in was perfect. The place is extremely clean and well thought out, with everything you need for a relaxing stay. The personalised note inside upon check in was such a lovely touch. The hot tub is easy to use and the geothermal water is welcome after a long day of exploring Iceland. The views from the cabin are also breathtaking. Sabine is a great and responsive host, providing really detailed instructions before check in and getting back to queries quickly. We also both really enjoyed our walking tour with her wonderful horses today. Could not recommend this place enough, as my boyfriend said while staying there “I think this is the best air b&b we have ever stayed in”…I couldn’t agree more!!

Wir haben uns in dieser Unterkunft sehr wohlgefühlt. Die Lage direkt am golden Circle und nah zur Südküste ist einfach super. Den Hot Tub haben wir jeden Tag mehrmals genutzt. Wir wären gerne noch länger geblieben.

Very attractive and comfortable cabin in a beautiful area which feels entirely private despite being only an hour from Reykjavik. Great base for hiking or sightseeing. We had five days here and felt we only scratched the surface of what the area has to offer. Cabin is very well and thoughtfully equipped. Matthias was a great host and offered fantastic recommendations of things to do and see. No hesitation at all in recommending.

Absolutely loved our stay in the cabin. Very quiet and remote with a private gravel road that leads to it. Júlíus was always super helpful and made everything easy. Super cozy interior. We would come back every time!

Elín’s “house of happiness” is nothing short of a dream come true! My husband and I loved every single second at this incredible secluded cabin outside of Selfoss and already dreaming of our next trip back. Elín is a warm and accommodating host, you won’t find a lovelier and more thoughtful host out there. And don’t get us started on the outdoor shower! It has the perfect temperature and pressure! Waren nun zum zweiten Mal in der Unterkunft. Schön ruhig und abgelegen und dennoch sind Selfoss und oder touristische Ziele schnell zu erreichen. Selfoss und der Krater Kerið in ca 15 Minuten und der Nationalpark Þingvellir in 40 Minuten. Ideale Ferienwohnung für 2 Personen die im Urlaub abschalten wollen. Auch der Kontakt mit Steinunn ist schnell und unkompliziert. Nächster Urlaub ist schon in der Planung.

Family of 4, 2 adults, 2 kids. we loved it there. very warm and cosy cottage with everything we needed. we enjoyed the hot tub. it takes about 2 hours to fill up ready to use. there is a filter coffee machine, plenty of glasses, crockery, cooking utensils etc. easy walking distance to Selfoss town which is a nice place and great base to explore surrounding area. we stayed 2 nights here and visited Vik, Secret Lagoon, Seljalandsfoss falls, reynisfjara beach, strokkur geyser and would highly recommend all of these for a visit. we also saw a lava show in Vik which we would definitely recommend.

This cabin is perfect! We got to cook a few nights which was nice to stay in during bad weather, it was private, very comfortable, and we got a glimpse of the northern nights one night. It’s also in a good base location and close to many sight seeing attractions. Rannveig was a wonderful host as well, she goes above and beyond making sure we were settled in and doing well. I booked this cabin for a short stay in Iceland to see the various sites of the golden circle. The location was perfect for accessing the ring road, as well as beautifully remote and private. The views were stunning and the amenities were fantastic. Check in was extremely smooth and the house is laid out perfectly to feel right at home. It is furnished very well and the hot tub/sauna were incredible. Everything was easy to use and worked without issue. I would highly recommend this stay and, without a doubt, we will be returning next time.

Heerlijk verblijf gehad en genoten van de mooie omgeving! Daarnaast helpt de host je altijd snel met vragen en was alles aanwezig in het huisje om je dagen door te komen. De basis artikelen waren al aanwezig en het huisje is heerlijk. De slaapkamer bovenin in de kruipruimte was wel erg smal. Kom je dus met 4 personen hou er dan rekening mee dat het vrij smal is en even klimmen om bij deze slaapruimte te komen. Bereik was daarnaast ook slecht in het huisje en geen wifi. Al deze punten waren voor ons geen probleem en hebben enorm genoten en zouden het zeker iedereen aanraden!

I've stayed at hundreds of airbnbs and I can tell you you will not find a better host. Stefanie truly looks out for you. She texted me when a storm was coming so I was prepared and not on the roads. She asked how I was doing. It was very clear if I needed anything she was there and that meant so much to me. Her place is such a sanctuary! So cozy and hygge. Highly recommend.

Utrolig fantastisk hytte med skønne omgivelser! Man følte sig hjemme fra man trådte ind af døren. Klart et sted man skal bo på sin tur til Island!

Wir hatten eine so schöne Zeit in Haukurs Unterkunft. Die Hütte ist mit allem ausgestattet was man so braucht, sehr gemütlich und traumhaft ruhig gelegen mitten in der Natur. Der Blick auf den See, der Kamin und der Hot Tub waren unser Highlight. Perfekt um so richtig zu entspannen. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

Magnus ha sido un excelente anfitrión. Nos proporcionó toda la información de la cabaña antes de llegar y, además, nos recomendó planes para hacer en Islandia. Siempre respondía muy rápido y ha estado muy atento durante toda nuestra estancia. La cabaña tiene una ubicación excelente y es completamente igual a las fotos. Es muy acogedora y tiene todo lo imprescindible para pasar unos días, ya sea con amigos o con familia. En definitiva, si volviera a Islandia, volvería a elegir esta cabaña, tanto por las instalaciones como por el anfitrión. 10/10.

Sehr schöne Hütte, besser als auf den Bildern, besonders wenn man abends in den Hot Tub ging und noch die LEDs einschalten konnte oder ggf Musik mit dem Handy verbinden. Alles war wirklich super. Das Highlight waren dann die wir auch noch sehen konnten. Alles in allem gab es nichts zu bemängeln, die Gastgeber sind top und gehen sofort auf alles ein, erklären es detailliert und sind sehr freundlich. Man hat hier seine Ruhe und ist mit dem Auto in ca 15 Minuten in der Hauptstadt, und in ungefähr 45 Minuten am Flughafen Keflavik. Es war wirklich eine schöne Zeit und Island ist einen Besuch definitiv Wert. Wir hatten in nur 4 Tagen fast alles: stürmische Winde bis 100 kmh (was die Hütte ganz locker wegsteckt), sehr viel Schneefall, Sonne, Kälte, Hagel und nicht zu vergessen die unglaubliche Natur, egal in welche Richtung man fährt und man muss nicht mal sehr weit weg fahren um unglaubliches zu sehen...

We had such an amazing time during our stay and Zoei was incredibly kind, friendly, and helpful. This was one of the nicest Airbnbs I've ever been lucky enough to stay in. It looked beautiful in the pictures and was even more beautiful in person. The thermal pool was so relaxing and Godo was such a highlight. We hope to come back!

This was our family's 4th trip to Iceland and this is by far our favorite place we've stayed at. Words cannot describe how beautiful the setting is. The views of the lake & mountains are absolutely amazing! The cabin is charming and has two large bay windows which provide spectacular views. We felt right at home here. When I had a question, Gudrun was quick to respond. We loved the location. It's private & tucked away in a beautiful area but only 25 minute drive from my friend's house in Mosfellbaer, a lovely town of approximately 15,000 people and has a grocery store and restaurants. The cabin is only a 45 minute drive from Reykjavik. The icing on the cake is that we got to see the northern lights from the cabin! I definitely plan on staying here again in the future.
