If I could give Maria and her family and home ten stars, I would. After over a dozen stays in air bnbs around the world, this experience has been my number one. Maria’s kindness was first evident when she was able to accommodate a rather last minute booking I made to Iceland since our anniversary plans to Maui did not pan out due to the devastating wildfires. She allowed an early check in which me and my tired family appreciated so much. Her husband took the time to show us around the super clean and beautiful home. They cleared space in their closet for our things. They asked which bed my five year old would prefer to sleep in. They kindly let her ride their sons bike around the safe and gorgeous neighbourhood. The home itself is decorated so beautifully and thoughtfully. With the little toys and trampoline, my daughter never looked at a screen once during our time here. I will probably be dreaming of returning again for many years to come!

This home is beautiful, and the host is very responsive. The house has everything you need for a lovely stay. It is easy to travel towards Keflavik, Vik, or Reykjavík from the home. We were able to fit nine people comfortably.

Beautiful surroundings , the accommodation was expensive but Iceland is expensive everywhere . Beds really comfy, and house was lovely and warm with stunning views of the city .

Asta was so helpful with local recommendations, and her house was clean welcoming. We had everything we needed right at our fingertips. The sauna and hot tub were great for relaxing. The location was perfectly central for exploring the Reykjavik peninsula.

This AirBnB was perfect for our family of 6! We all had our own bedrooms (2 couples, 2 singles) and enough common area to spread out, if we wanted. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals and Inga even left a welcome basket of snacks and breakfast items! The place also has a washer & dryer, which we used after swimming, twice! The heated floors were a God-send during the December cold. We had an electrical issue and they promptly got an electrician out to fix it. Worked perfectly after that! The location is at the end of a street in a quiet neighborhood. There is a walking trail close by but we never used it because we visited in December and it was too cold for us. Other amenities are available at the house, like a hot tub and outdoor living area, but we did not use those because of the cold weather. They look like a wonderful addition for a warmer-weather visit. I highly recommend this location and the wonderful hosts!!

Nice house in in good area, a lot of space and light. Many games and toys for kids! 10 min by walk to the bus terminal.

The place is spacious, stylish and cozy! Communication was very timely as well. Highly recommend!

Sara’s place felt at home. We were comfortable. With 5 of us, 2 living spaces really helped. We are able to have our own spaces within the house. A relatively new home, fast internet and while it’s was super freezing out there, we were snug as a bug! Would happily return. Great communication too. 👍🏼

Wonderful place to stay! This house provided all of the amenities we needed for our family of six of various ages. We had a fantastic trip together to Iceland and the hosts were friendly, helpful and responsive to our questions.

What’s an absolutely beautiful family home . We felt right at home here . so much that I didn’t want to come back home to England :( very spacious decorated lovely . It was the middle of winter and it was extremely warm for us as well. It was decorated beautifully with Christmas decorations and lots of treats left for us . Thankyou nothing was a problem . looked after the family Cat who was absolutely delightful And no trouble at all . Very close to everything supermarket round the corner, got everywhere very easy was really sad to leave. Would definitely love to come back one day. Thankyou so much xxx

Robert and Iris were amazing hosts. He was there to greet us at check in after an early morning flight and give us a tour of the home, there were some welcome treats, and everything was so clean and cute! We were convenient to downtown without the hecticness, tucked away in a cute little neighborhood. We had an amazing view from the wrap around balcony to the city's fireworks display. It was truly the most amazing location for New Year's Eve. Communication was excellent, going out of their way to assist us with multiple requests and went well above and beyond. We were so appreciative of everything and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The home was just perfect for our multi-generational family trip.

Thorey's home was beautiful and spacious for our group of eight. The house came with a well-equipped kitchen, large dining area for our big group, comfortable bedrooms, TV rooms and even a gym. The living room had an incredible view of the skyline and was situated in a quiet neighborhood with only a 10 minute drive to Reykjavik. Thorey was a great host who proactively provided tips for our travel days and was very responsive.

Gigja was extremely welcoming and helpful in showing us around the house and giving us local recommendations. Her house is an amazing place for kids! We had 3 kids under 5 who loved the trampoline, the 2 enclosed outdoor spaces and playhouse, and the toys and spacious interior. The place is immaculately clean and full of beautiful plants! There is a walking path that goes right by the house and runs along a stream and goes to 2 parks that we frequented. All things in Reykjavik were under 10 minutes by car. We highly recommend this house and the hosts.

Helena was warm, friendly and extremely helpful before we arrived and her house was simply wonderful. Clean, tidy, plenty of space and every bit as welcoming as Helena. The house felt really authentic and was a perfect base from which to explore this amazing country. We felt very much at home during our stay and we loved looking after Freyja (the cat). Helena left clear instructions as to how to navigate the house as well as lovely ideas for excursions. She contacted us ahead of our visit to send us information and replied to any of our queries straight away. We loved our time in Iceland and amongst all of our highlights of places we visited, returning home to Helena's house each evening was absolutely one of them. A very beautiful home and we feel lucky to have found such a gorgeous place to stay. Tim and Claire xx

10/10 recommend. Perfect trip from start to finish. Eugenia is a lovely host. Personable and kind to communicate with via the Airbnb platform. This house is simply incredible. If you’re thinking of visiting Iceland don’t hesitate, you’ll be blown away by the nature, peace and beauty. The house is 45 mins - 1 hour from the airport and Reykjavik. It’s in the middle of the “Golden Circle” where you’ll be able to see many waterfalls, the Geyser etc. It’s a private community of secluded houses in the valley of some mountains. 4x4 recommended as it’s a dirt road for 5-10 mins from the main road. Everything works perfectly in the house. Fireplace, BBQ, well stocked kitchen, all taps had boiling hot and freezing cold water (so refreshing!). Very clean house and felt like home for the week. Jacuzzi, sauna and cold plunge were nice perks. You can hike the mountain behind the house and find blueberries. 100% perfect stay for a family or a group of friends. Thank you, Eugenia!

This was the best place we have ever stayed as a family. Sigurdurs place is beautiful with the most stunning view. The house is spacious and very warm and cosy. It is absolute heaven, the perfect escape to the countryside with a chance of seeing the northern lights over the lake. I would definitely recommend Sigurdur’s place to everyone. Absolutely incredible! Our first time in Iceland and this stay was out of this world. Was so amazing! Perfect for couples. The views were breath taking. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back when we return to Iceland 🇮🇸 waking up in the snow was such a great experience. Could not recommend this enough and have recommended!

I would 100% stay here again. The unit is fully stocked with everything you would need. Including salt, pepper, oil, tin foil. We stopped for groceries on the way from the airport. So glad we did! I recommend bringing coffee beans for the fancy machine. The fridge is large. The tv has Netflix and Disney. The hot tub stays the same temp as it just keeps refreshing itself. Iceland is magical. And this find was perfection for a party of 3 adults. Also the beds were incredibly comfortable. I slept like a dream. The home is plenty warm as well. The host is extremely responsive although we had zero issues as the instructions are clear before you arrive. We communicated to say thank you for a lovely stay. Would stay here again.

This was our family's 4th trip to Iceland and this is by far our favorite place we've stayed at. Words cannot describe how beautiful the setting is. The views of the lake & mountains are absolutely amazing! The cabin is charming and has two large bay windows which provide spectacular views. We felt right at home here. When I had a question, Gudrun was quick to respond. We loved the location. It's private & tucked away in a beautiful area but only 25 minute drive from my friend's house in Mosfellbaer, a lovely town of approximately 15,000 people and has a grocery store and restaurants. The cabin is only a 45 minute drive from Reykjavik. The icing on the cake is that we got to see the northern lights from the cabin! I definitely plan on staying here again in the future.

Excellent séjour, bel emplacement, chalet cosy

This cabin was an absolute dream for our honeymoon. It felt super remote and secluded, with incredible vistas of the snowy mountains and valley below. We felt lucky to be the highest cabin on the hill side, it felt really private and we enjoyed the long track up to the location. We had everything we needed, efficient heating, great kitchen and the hot tub was absolutely perfect (though please note that sulfurous water will reversably tarnish silver jewellery!) No complaints, thanks for making our trip so damn special xx

“The best air b&b we have stayed in”. The guesthouse we stayed in was perfect. The place is extremely clean and well thought out, with everything you need for a relaxing stay. The personalised note inside upon check in was such a lovely touch. The hot tub is easy to use and the geothermal water is welcome after a long day of exploring Iceland. The views from the cabin are also breathtaking. Sabine is a great and responsive host, providing really detailed instructions before check in and getting back to queries quickly. We also both really enjoyed our walking tour with her wonderful horses today. Could not recommend this place enough, as my boyfriend said while staying there “I think this is the best air b&b we have ever stayed in”…I couldn’t agree more!!

This little cabin is the perfect location for exploring the south of Iceland. It's tucked away enough to feel private and secluded but quick to hop onto the main road. Cabin was clean, with plenty of space for 3 adults and a teenager. We were lucky enough to see the Aurora two nights in a row over the cabin. The lack of light pollution meant perfect viewing spots. We loved our week here and would definitely use again.
