The views were amazing. Have direct access to the lake was a plus. The beds are a bit worn and old, but overall it was a great place to stay at. Gives a bit of old, moody rustic vibes.

Loved being able to listen to the waves and see the stars from our cabin at night.

I highly recommend the A-frames at Tim & Rachael's place. The beachfront location was so perfect for a quick getaway. The site was as described with mats, a small table and chairs inside the a-frame, and a platform with a picnic table, chairs, and a fire pit. I would recommend bringing: - lights for the evening. I brought camping twinkle lights and it made the cabin feel so much more homey! - an additional sleeping pad. There are foam pads and I slept fine however next time I would bring my camp pad to put on time for more cushion. - lots of blankets! the a-frame was cozy but since it's right on the water, it's drafty. I brought lots of blankets and had a great time! :) such a fun getaway!

One of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed! Cannot express the stunning sunrise we watched. Aframe was great and happy there are flushable toilets and showers on property :)! Will be back!

It was an unforgettable experience staying at this private lakefront cabin. Would highly recommend any time of year. November in the rain was especially nice. Sitting in the hot tub, cold plunging in the lake, grilling on the covered patio. The propane space heater was a perfect touch, to be able to sit outside, staying warm, looking at the lake and listening to the rain. It was perfect

Beautiful spot! Absolutely perfect if you just want a space to sleep and hang out with a great view and don't need the amenities of a full cabin or hotel.

Beautiful place right on the water. Bald eagles flew by the windows while we sipped our morning coffee. Loved watching the ships travel across the straight. Sounds of waves were a lovely soundtrack to our stay. Captain’s Quarters has everything you need and nothing you don’t for a rustic and relaxing stay in an incredibly beautiful location.

Can’t say enough great things about this home. My family really enjoyed our spring break stay on the lake. There were no details missed to having a comfortable stay. The hot tub and sauna were great after a family paddle with the kayaks. There are abundant linens for water activities. We really enjoyed the wood stove inside on the cooler nights. Thanks for the great stay.

Stellar location: we enjoyed our time on the lake and would have loved to stay longer. Stuart greeted us and took us for a spin on the lake when we arrived. Location is beautiful, private, and close to fun hikes. We went out on the water several times in the kayaks. Traffic on the lake was low (September), and often there was zero or one people out on the water at any given time. The cabin's potable water wasn't working during our stay, but Stuart provided plenty of bottled water for our drinking and cooking needs. We would happily stay again.

Had a lovely overnight stay here while my girlfriend and I were passing through Washington. The beach is so close and we enjoyed checking out the tide-pools. Super peaceful and great views from the unit we stayed in. Also a pleasant surprise was all of the cute & friendly cats in the area

This place is absolutely fantastic! Fyi, there are a number of stairs to reach the unit and spaces, but its totally worth it. And owner made this clear… We’ll be back. Its an all year experience,.. we’re hoping to come back in Summer next time!

My husband and I and our 3 small dogs had a wonderful, relaxing stay here! The cabin is so cute and the view is incredible! It was the peaceful birthday getaway we were looking for.

Place is as it looks; really peaceful spot and the place has a lot of amenities. My only warning is there is no cel service so make sure you get the check in code before you arrive.

Our stay was so peaceful! Very scenic and tranquil! This place is outside Forks but still minutes from everything! Rialto Beach was only 30 or so minutes away. What a comfortable stay! The house had everything we needed it was clean and comfortable and roomy and the outside was amazing with places to sit and enjoy the lake or read a book or sit around the fire pit. We all agreed we would not hesitate to stay here again! Thank you Laura for providing such a great vacation rental!

We really enjoyed our first visit to Lake Sutherland and the Mallard Cove location is perfect. This location is ideal for a blend of hiking and visiting Port Angeles. The cabin is perfect for couples who are looking to get away and cook dinner at home. Great kitchen set up and super nice grill. We can’t wait to come back in the summer for kayaking and other outdoor activities!
