This A-frame two bedroom two bath cabin on Lake Sutherland is worth every penny and will be the highlight of your Pacific Northwest trip. From the stunning views to the warm hot tub on the deck, you will be pampered in this comfortable home. It's always great to have a washer & dryer at the property and a well stocked kitchen along with comfortable beds and comfortable living room furniture. The fish tank and the art around the home were added bonuses. We highly recommend this property!

Not only was this scenery incredible and beautiful, but Rich and Belle were incredible hosts. They were warm and responsive to help if we had any questions, and gave detailed information and support upfront. The home was cozy and comfortable, and the views could not be beat! We cannot wait to come back again.

This was the second stop on my solo birthday journey of the PNW and I couldn’t have found a better spot! I will definitely be back for my next adventure!

Could not have had a better experience at the cottage! It was immaculately clean and super cozy and comfortable! We loved the hot tub and we loved being in town close to everything we wanted to see, the Twilight stuff and the beaches like La Push were not far! These owners truly care about your experience and go above and beyond! Would definitely stay again and highly recommend!

This stay was incredible. We will definitely be back for more alSol Duc Serenity. The Deck over the river, the hot tub, and the huge bay windows were our favorite. My fiancé and I got engaged on the deck overlooking the Sol Duc River. We lived the surrounding areas to explore and hike too. We are from Houston Texas, so it is a bit of a ways away, but will will be back!

This was seriously one of the best Airbnbs I’ve ever stayed in!!! 100% recommend!! The host is so responsive to the point that at 1am I had a question and got a response within 2 minutes. I was shocked and impressed! We were able to go to sleep with the question resolved! We saw so many beautiful eagles from the hot tub, enjoyed rainbows after consistent light rain showers. We easily fit 12 in this 16 person Airbnb and are so excited to book again for our next family reunion.

We had such a great wonderful time at our Airbnb. Absolutely beautiful location, extremely cozy and comfy and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. We will be back!

Very clean, very modern, detailed instructions. Not much storage for drawer like items, hangars for that type of stuff. Essentially very comfortable.

Our group has been coming to The Shack for almost a decade. It’s been fun to see the place evolve as we’ve had a kid and starting bring them to the shack—the swing set was a HUGE hit with our 2yo. Heidi and Darrel are excellent hosts—very communicative and definitely go above and beyond for camp hosts. Can’t recommend this more for your next car camping adventure. Oh, and if you’re skilled, maybe you’ll catch a trout!

We had such a wonderful time at the cabin!! It was so peaceful, right on the river, and surrounded by tons of nature and places to explore. It was close enough to the water to do day trips to surf and still have a cozy place to wake up and hang at in the evenings. We would absolutely stay again!!

Very nice place to get away but still be close enough to many outdoor activities and stops. The hosts were amazing and responsive if needed. The house was stocked with anything you would need for a cabin outdoor getaway.

We really enjoyed our first visit to Lake Sutherland and the Mallard Cove location is perfect. This location is ideal for a blend of hiking and visiting Port Angeles. The cabin is perfect for couples who are looking to get away and cook dinner at home. Great kitchen set up and super nice grill. We can’t wait to come back in the summer for kayaking and other outdoor activities!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful location. Very rural which we love. Somehow we managed to arrive at the wrong location (our mistake) & the lock wouldn’t work - Patty was helpful in figuring out the problem. The house was warm, well equipped for all of our needs and comfortable . We would definitely recommend this listing.

We couldn’t have asked for a better home base for our family during our trip to the Olympic Peninsula. Groceries were easy to come by in Forks, and all the natural beauty we came for was within easy drive of the house. The house itself was incredibly, comfortable, and well-arranged. Kitchen was easy to prepare meals in and there was plenty of space for our group of 3 adults/2 kids to stretch out. If you’re looking to visit the rainforest, La Push, or any other sites on the coast, I can’t recommend this place enough.

Lovely stay and great access to Forks & Olympic National Park. Would stay again in the future if passing through the area.

We had a very relaxing stay at the cabin, it’s cozy but fit three people well with two in the beds and one on the pullout couch. Stay cautious of hitting your head on the ladder as it is in the middle of the room.

Exactly as advertised. Made for a perfect little camping getaway.

I absolutely LOVE these cabins. This was my first time staying in this one(Confluence is my favorite so far) I brought my daughters for a last minute late night arrival trip. They wanted to see the tree while they still can. I slept in the loft and the girls chose to make a bed on the floor instead of using the bunks. All of the cabins feel very private. Although drafty, they are dry and the woodstoves heat everything nicely. We usualy bring a moving pad or extra sleeping bag to lay down on the cobblestone floor. Rain or shine the cabins are great and one of my favorite places to stay in the area. Looking forward to my next trip.

The house was larger than the photos convey, giving the family plenty of space to hang out and a large table to play games on. The beds were very comfortable and the host provided clear instructions for use of the home. It was a great place to explore the western Olympic Peninsula from.

Cheryl was a wonderful host and this was a special place. Thank you the location was amazing. Upon talking to her brother who lives next-door he said this was the coldest wettest week of the year. I made the best of it though still managed to see some of the beautiful Olympic national Park as well as the coast I cannot wait to come back. This cabin was great for our family’s 2 night stay and we’d love to come back.

Beautiful place right on the water. Bald eagles flew by the windows while we sipped our morning coffee. Loved watching the ships travel across the straight. Sounds of waves were a lovely soundtrack to our stay. Captain’s Quarters has everything you need and nothing you don’t for a rustic and relaxing stay in an incredibly beautiful location.
