Thank you for hosting us! We thoroughly enjoyed our experience in Mill Springs. The home is super cozy and very family friendly. We traveled with my parents, brothers & our two kids and felt very safe and secure in the gated community. There were a few downsides such as the hot tub. With it being inflatable, it made it not useable due to the cold weather. It was not able to keep a warm water temperature & looked like it hasn’t been cleaned properly. Outdoor particles and hair from previous stays surfaced. Just something to look into. Overall, it was clean in the bathrooms, kitchen & bedrooms until you got to the windows, massive piles of dust under the bed & window s’ils. Unfortunately one of our guests had to leave the cabin early due to sinus flare ups with all the dust and possible mold from what looked like water marks on the walls. We would definitely stay here again if a few upgrades could be made. The host was very quick to respond & helpful with answering questions we had.

My girlfriends and I stayed at this beautiful NC house and we loved it!! It was a nice way to get away from the city and have a relaxing weekend full of board games, baking Halloween cookies and treating ourselves to an in house spa night. The house was so beautiful and we were obsessed with all the themed rooms. The hot tub was of course a hit! The house is also near great hiking spots. We did a hike inside the neighborhood and we also went to Chimney Rock State Park, which isn’t far from the house. We ended our weekend at the neighborhood restaurant which had plenty of yummy food options and beautiful scenery to take lots of photos at! We absolutely loved in and would go back again!

This was a work trip. After a long day building concrete steps, walks, a patio, the house was exactly what the team needed. Hot showers, a well-equipped kitchen, and plenty of places to relax. When working in the area again, we hope to stay here.

Do not think twice about this cabin rental. The home is absolutely perfect! The kitchen has everything you need (spices, oil, tools, space, keurig, drip, all the things you hope it will have when you show up) The couch is incredibly comfortable. The beds too are amazing. Main bathroom has a very modern shower and toilet. But most of all the deck and the view are worth every penny. We spent most of our time reading and drinking coffee from the chairs on the deck. And it was so peaceful and relaxing. We had a brief issue with a power outage but a) they have a generator that automatically turned on and b) the owner was proactively communicative to let us know and kept tabs that we were okay and when the power went back on. Wish we could have stayed longer. Rent it for a day or two longer because you won’t want to leave. Thank you to Susie and the team who hosted us, we had exactly the trip we needed

Marisa’s house is a beautiful cabin that was worth every penny. It is convenient to Brevard and the Pisgah Forest for the fishing and outdoor enthusiast. Marisa was very accommodating to my group and was prompt to responding to messages. The house was clean and lacked no amenities. The kitchen was well furnished with pots, pans, etc. and linens were plentiful. I would recommend Marisa’s place for anyone hoping to get away and stay in a beautiful part of North Carolina.

There really are no words to describe how much we enjoyed our stay. For our family of 6, and our 2 doggies, we were looking for a large space in a beautiful and peaceful setting to enjoy the holidays together. We are all so busy and run in different directions, and we thought this would be a great way to have a captive Christmas for everyone to enjoy time together! We were right! The owner has the house decorated perfectly for Christmas, and the basement level was perfect for our 3 grown boys to play video games and bond together! Grandma enjoyed the large tv with the giant window overlooking the mountain and lake - and mom & dad (us) enjoyed the master bedroom & bath with a balcony overlooking the mountain and lake. It was perfect, like Switzerland, but only 2 hours from home! We have treasured memories of our trip!

Our extended family of 13 had a peaceful, relaxing, and wonderful stay! The pictures don't do the house/cabin and surrounding property justice. The rope swing, swing, and tire swing were a huge hit with the kids - they were addicted to the rope swing! (Even the teens managed to break away from their tech and play on the creek!) The towels to use for the creek were a nice touch. This location made it really easy to get to Asheville, Black Mountain, and Brevard. It was unanimous that all of us would love to return! It was a much needed retreat and respite for all of us!

We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful home! The views of the lake from the large windows were breathtaking, and we enjoyed waking up to them every morning. The house itself was spacious, immaculately clean, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. Even though our stay was during the winter, we still enjoyed hanging out at the dock fishing and grilling out, which made the experience even more special. The host really made our stay even more wonderful — they were attentive, responsive to all our questions, and kept in touch to make sure we had everything we needed. We would love to return and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful and comfortable getaway!
