What a fantastic stay we had! Lee was super helpful and patient when we needed to adjust the dates of our stay not once, but twice. The house was spotlessly clean, the beds very comfortable, and the kitchen extremely well-equipped with everything we needed for self catering. It was great to have a dishwasher and a washer/dryer. The projector in the lounge was a fabulous, fun addition (my 10 year old watched a lot of YouTube on it...) and it was great to have a regular TV in the kitchen too. Of course, the highlight for us was the hot tub and swim spa -- absolutely outstanding, lovely and warm on arrival (and again, spotlessly clean). Our kids are 12 and 10 and LOVED the swim spa pool. The hot tub is incredible, and my husband and I enjoyed that as the sun was setting (the lights around the garden fence are lovely). The variety of bubble/jet settings were great. Having Lidl, Aldi, and Iceland a 3 minute walk away was very handy, and the big Morrisons is just a few minutes' drive.

Was even better than the photos made it out to be. A few minor issues such as no curtains in the bedrooms but aside from that it was perfect. Great for big groups

Fantastic weekend was had with 11 adults and 2 dogs, everyone was very happy. The house was beautiful with everything you will need and more! The evenings in the garden were a dream. Can’t recommend this place enough.

I planned a surprise for my boyfriend for his birthday where his friends would be there when we arrive (he thought we were staying in a glamping pod) and it was the perfect weekend. The pictures don’t do it justice how beautiful this place is. We had the best time and couldn’t stop talking about how great the place was. The only criticism (if any) is that there was no salt and pepper and could have had more coffee, sugar and tea for the amount of people that stay. Other than that, no faults at all and will definitely be booking again! The best weekend I have had in a long time. Also appreciated the fast replies and how seamless it was to check in and out.

Really enjoyed our recent stay. It was lovely to meet Joan who gave us a very welcome arrival and made a great cup of tea 😊 Location was superb for catching up with our friends and gave us time to explore the beautiful park at the end of the road. House was very comfortable and cozy, with a lovely sunny garden. Joan communicated very well with us at all times and offered additional information about the area etc. would definitely stay again.

Good accommodation - easy access to visit interesting places in the North East

We recently stayed at the Old School House and had a wonderful experience. The building’s rich history and unique character made it a truly memorable stay. The peaceful, rural setting allowed us to fully relax and enjoy the quiet surroundings. It was the perfect spot for a restful break, with plenty of charm and a warm, inviting atmosphere. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. We would definitely recommend the Old School House for anyone looking to escape and unwind in a tranquil, beautiful setting.

This is a great property in a perfect place to explore Knaresborough, Harrogate and beyond. John was easily contactable and gave very clear instructions on how to locate and access the property. The property was spotlessly clean on arrival, with a well equipped kitchen and very comfortable beds. To note, the third bedroom is very small (one single bed) with no room to fit a travel cot in. We had a wonderful stay and would return!

Myself and my friends had an excellent stay at Sue’s property with our dogs. It helped that the weather was lovely but the cottage would have been so cosy and comfortable regardless. Sue’s instructions were helpful in finding the property and the cottage itself was spotless and well equipped. We have had a very relaxing stay and will definitely look to visit again next time!! We stayed at Virginia House as it was close to a local wedding venue. The house was lovely, very homely, modern but with lots of character and very well appointed with everything we could have possibly wanted. It was perfect for our adult family getting ready for the wedding and relaxing the day after. We had a refreshing walk and then a delicious meal at the local pub and the locals were all very friendly. We would all recommend Karen’s property and would love to stay again.

Just had a lovely weekend staying here, every single person that came was saying the home was such a great find and so beautiful. 100% will consider revisiting and staying again, the owner was so lovely and communicated clearly every step of the way.

Beautiful house in beautiful surroundings the sea can be seen from the front windows and only a few mins walk to the beach and local bars. Michael was responsive and always helpful. The property is big and has all you’ll need for an home from home experience. We are already looking at a return same time next year 👍🏻👍🏻

We’ve just got back from a lovely stay to celebrate my birthday. The Air BnB was spotless, really big and just perfect for what we needed it for. Kieran was a great host, really responsive, made us feel right at home and had some great recommendations. Will definitely book again if we ever come back!

Rosie’s place was definitely one for the list to come back to. It was very clean, warm and had everything you needed. The garden was nice and enclosed so suited our little border terrier well. The decor is lovely, definitely taking a few ideas home … particularly the bathroom. The wood burner was a great cosy addition to come back to after a walk. A great village location, so quiet and peaceful.

Song’s house is a perfect home away from home. It’s clean, warm and cozy with everything you need. The kitchen is well stocked with pots and pans and whatnot, and the beds and sofa are comfy. Neighbourhood is fine, quiet, 5 minutes from the metro and 10 minutes into central Newcastle. 20 minute drive to the coast. Song was an outstanding host; helpful, accommodating and quick to respond. This is a really lovely Airbnb. We were there for a month and were really happy.

Great tidy place and value for money Location was excellent I had a great stay at Andy and Louise’s place. It was clean, tidy, and had everything I needed for a comfortable visit. The bed was comfy, the area was quiet, and the location was perfect – close to shops, restaurants, and main road in . It felt like a home away from home. Andy and Louise were friendly and helpful, with quick communication and smooth check-in. Excellent value for money for such a high standard of accommodation. I’d definitely stay again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. Thanks for a lovely stay!

I had a wonderful stay at William’s Airbnb. The house was very costly, clean, and tidy, perfect for a comfortable stay. Communication with the host was excellent, and he was kind enough to accommodate a later check-out, which we really appreciated. The location was great, with everything within a short commute, and check-in was super easy. The place was reasonably priced and even came with thoughtful touches like complimentary coffee, tea, and biscuits upon arrival. Overall, a lovely experience would definitely stay again!
