Very nice stay close to Glenwood Springs but tucked nicely out of town. Great amenities for a weeklong ski stay including a fully stocked kitchen. Awesome information on local restaurants and things to do from the host. Highly recommend for anyone visiting the area

Penelope was a gracious host and her home is in a dramatically beautiful town. We stayed during winter and appreciated the hot tub and local restaurant we could walk to. My kids loved that her house sits on a great hill, perfect for playing. We all had a great time staying in Red Cliff away from the busy ski towns and were constantly amazed by the great views of the town and surrounding mountains from the living room.

We stayed at Jane and Chuck's place the month of October. We loved everything about our stay. The apartment is completely private and much larger than the pictures display - it was a delight! So very comfortable and the WIFI had a good connection. The donkeys were precious as well as their dog Zippy. Jane and Chuck were a delight with a lot of information to share. They have a great new restaurant called Good Love and a swanky little new bar called Fiona's Bartique! We had stayed in Paonia the year before for the month of September and went back to all our favorite wineries, restaurants and shops. The people of Paonia are AMAZING - go there for a great laid back little town to relax in. October was BY FAR the best month to visit - the fall colors were incredible. Great towns nearby to visit - Ouray, Ridgway, Aspen, Glenwood Springs, Redstone, and this time we discovered the Grand Mesa!

Great place to stay if you’re visiting the Glenwood Springs/Aspen area! Area is quiet and great for star viewing. Beautiful sunrise over the mountains. Will definitely be back!

We just spent the winter at “Just Breathe.” We loved it so much that we booked it again for 2025/26. We absolutely love the location because we have the best of both worlds. The property is nestled in the woods on winding Lake Creek. For most of the winter, we have been lulled to sleep every night by the sound of running water bubbling across the rocks. At the same time, we were just 5 minutes from the adorable town of Edwards and multiple delicious restaurants at our finger tips. Just Breathe really felt like a home to us while we worked at Vail this season. Kimberly and Mark are wonderful, attentive hosts who we now consider our friends. We are hoping to return this summer to get a glimpse of this spectacular property surrounded by shimmering Aspens and covered in beautiful wild flowers.

Definitely recommend! Clean, cozy and convenient location. 15 min drive to the park and ride that has a free shuttle to Snowmass and other ski areas. Rio Grande trail access from the backyard. I sat in the sun from the front porch while our dog explored the fenced-in front yard. 10 min drive to Basalt with multiple restaurant choices. Looking forward to coming back in a different season :)

Amazing location for an Autumnal getaway. Centrally located to Crested Butte, Marble, Avalanche Ranch, etc. Bill was extremely accommodating and communicative. Thanks so much for having us! Only downside is the proximity to the road, which is gravel, and super wash-boarded. Pretty loud. That aside, a perfect stay. 😊

Excellent experience all around. The parking area was very muddy do to snow melt, and the ski-in/ski-out aspect was more difficult than expected (trail was icy and hard to find on the ski run based on the photo). Great value for a modern residence with incredible views.

Our stay at Fire Mountain was nothing short of fantastic. The accommodation was exceptionally clean and comfortable, providing a perfect retreat amidst nature. The pre-stocked fridge, filled with delicious local fare, was a delightful touch that made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. One of the highlights of our mornings was the incredible farm-to-table breakfasts. Fresh, flavorful, and abundant, they were the perfect start to our days. Our kids had an absolute blast collecting eggs from the chickens and feeding the neighboring donkeys with apricots from a nearby tree—a unique and memorable experience for them. Kim and Sam, our gracious hosts, made us feel extremely welcome throughout our stay. They went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. One evening, they even watched our kids, allowing us to enjoy a much-needed date night. Their local knowledge was invaluable as they helped us plan activities and recommended the best places to eat.

Such a special place. If you want to feel like you’re still in the west while only 30 minutes away Aspen, this is your place.

Even before we booked, Jenn was proactive to return my message and responsive to answer the questions I had. She was amazingly helpful in offering solutions. After booking she was proactive in helping before I could ask, and she cared for the girls and me as if we were close friends or family (without being intrusive). She was always available via message if I needed anything. Their family was so diligent about keeping the driveway safe, and making sure we could get up and down the steps safely after fresh snow. Obviously, the place is beautiful, they did a wonderful job renovating, decorating, and anticipating what guests needed. We even opened a window at night for the beautiful mountain air, as the guesthouse is always well heated/ insulated without needing to run the heat. Which is impressive to a Texan w a Colorado heart! Lol. As a side note I think we have new friends! Lol. Can’t wait to come back. ❤️ The Liddle women

Loved this spot - already planning our trip back. Just the right amount of space for 2 couples. Beautiful inside, and great view of Pyramid Peak which you can admire from a couch on the deck. It’s located in a snowmobile tour center, so lots of people and snowmobile sounds and smells during the day in winter. We didn’t mind at all since we liked having people around vs being isolated in the woods, and we were gone skiing each day. Only a few min from Aspen Highlands base. Will be back!

Kat's place was perfect for a quiet getaway. Also, Kat was extremely thoughtful, leaving movie snacks on the coffee table. Her communication was excellent, and I'd definitely go back!

Minturn is a great town with easy access to Vail and Beaver Creek. Bus line is very limited so a car is needed. Parking in Vail has easy access and great locations but account for $30/$40 a day to ski. House location great for the town...1 min walk to two fun rest/bars....Crazy Chicken and BBQ place (get the brisket). The Saloon and Country Club are 3 min drives. House serves 2 people well and great to have laundry.
