This place was wonderful! The air bnb is a very beautiful, unique and fun historical home! Janeen was very accommodating and very responsive! The air bnb is stocked with everything you could possibly need! The back porch over looking the river was my favorite spot! Very peaceful and serene! I loved this place and would definitely stay again.

Absolutely loved the cabin! Quiet and peaceful…exactly what we were looking for. Pictures and descriptions were spot on. Great place to relax and to use as a “base camp” when exploring the mountains. Kelly was quick to respond to any of our questions. We loved it so much we wished we could’ve stayed longer.

A lovely cabin in the woods, more homelike than the vast majority of AirBnB properties. Betsy was quick to respond to questions and made an extra effort to ensure that our stay went well despite icy weather. We enjoyed our stay and hope to return in the future.

We had the most wonderful stay at this cozy cabin in the woods! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a peaceful and serene atmosphere, perfect for unwinding and reconnecting with nature. The cabin itself was impeccably clean and beautifully decorated, blending rustic charm with modern comforts. The hosts were incredibly thoughtful and provided everything we needed, from extra blankets to helpful recommendations for local hikes, activities, and food recommendations. The surroundings were absolutely stunning, especially from the hot tub, with the sounds of nature all around and breathtaking views right from the porch. I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect getaway. I highly recommend this hidden gem to anyone looking for a relaxing and rejuvenating escape!

My husband and I and young Bloodhound traveled to Lexington for a BMX bike race and relaxation. The cabin was pristine, comfy, in a beautiful setting and I could go on and on!! Sally had fresh eggs from her own chickens, homemade blueberry muffins, milk, juice, water, shampoo/ conditioner….and much more!! We saw deer right outside of the kitchen window… the area is perfect for front porch sitting and nice walks! Sally and her husband went above and beyond!! We WILL be back!! I had a great last minute getaway here and I agree with the other reviews, it’s so much better than the pictures give it credit for and was so comfortable with everything I needed. It is located adjacent to another property, it’s above the garage although only one or two steps if mobility is a concern for you, it’s very accessible. No one was using the other property so it was great to be alone. I had coffee on the front porch every morning as the deer came to say hi and listened to the beautiful soft (read very quiet) church bells in the distance on Sunday morning and watched as the sun rose over the trees. It was so peaceful and relaxing. Easy access to hikes with my dog we both enjoyed the yard. She would lie in the grass by the fire pit and we watched the sun set after a long day of hiking. I recommend bringing your food as I didn’t see too many restaurants, also I had cell service with both Verizon and T-Mobile. All in all a great place if you’re looking to escape!!

Sarah's place was great. It was clean tidy and welcoming. We loved the location an so did our dog. It fit our needs in every way. She responded to my question promptly. We had a very enjoyable stay.

The house is a beautiful, rustic log home. The main living area is huge and easily able to comfortably accommodate our group of 9. The downstairs is hard to keep warm even while using the wood stove, mostly due to the high ceilings and lack of insulation. The host provides space heaters and quilts, but you should bring extra layers of clothing to wear if you're staying during the cold months. There are lots of games, puzzles, and books and plenty of space to use them. The host provides an ample supply of spices, paper towels, trash bags, hand soap, shampoo, body wash, and toilet paper. The kitchen is well stocked with most of the items you would expect to use. There is a fast moving creek parallel to the house that you can hear from the bedrooms. It's a wonderful way to fall asleep. The chimney fireplace outdoors is wonderful.

Our stay at the Cozy Cabin was awesome! Beautiful location, beautiful cabin with attention to detail in every area. Shauna quickly responded with any questions we had. We would love to go back. 10/10!

Tasha went above and beyond and made this trip a memorable experience. The cabin was amazing and our entire family had a wonderful time. The cabin was spacious and accommodated all of our family members. The rooms were large and comfortable. We look forward to doing this again next Thanksgiving!

The cabin was so cozy during our stay. We had several inches of snow for a few days and it was the perfect place to be! Being on the farm was beautiful and just a few miles down a scenic road from Lexington. Our dog loved roaming the well cared for open fields. The cabin is situated so that each sunrise and sunset had amazing views inside and out. The cabin meet all our needs for our 2 week stay and we were able to make delicious meals and keep up with our laundry. Everything was clean and in great running conditions. We look forward to staying there again! Amanda was a very kind and friendly host - she shoveled and salted the entrance area during the snow for us! Can't beat that kind of care!

this was our fourth time staying at Sally and John's cabin, and as usual we felt right at home curling up by the fire. We appreciated that since we've last been at the cabin they upgraded the heater in the bedroom (definitely helpful as it got very cold out second night!) and added a full bed in the upstairs loft (a great place to sleep, including a nearby outlet, if you're too hot). We love coming here and would love to come back! 😃

The cabin was very nice, the view is exceptional. If you sit on the couch, lay on the bed you have a beautiful Mountain View. There was nothing we were missing. Very close to the Virginia Horse Center if you are visiting there. Quiet and very low light pollution so the stars were incredible. Plenty of deer in the evening time.

We booked this cabin for a long weekend getaway, hoping for a place to rest and recharge. We could not be happier with our stay; it was perfect. The cabin itself is beautifully built and maintained, and it had everything we could have wanted. The property is so serene, the cabin far from other homes, the view lovely. We’re already planning for when we can come back!

Great place to get away and enjoy nature while having modern comforts! This place exceeded my expectations. Loved the holiday decorations and the personal touches that made it feel like home. Notes: They have a hard water softener, which makes the water taste metallic, so bring bottled water or a water filter. Also, it is secluded from major stores, so be sure to bring all your supplies with you.

Absolutely beautiful property! Very private, cozy and comfortable. We enjoyed walking the trails with our dog and since we had mostly rain, relaxing in front of the fireplace reading and listening to music. We did venture out to walk the Chessie Trail, see the Natural Bridge, cross the James River on the footbridge, and check out Lexington downtown area. Would love to come back in another season. Thanks for being pet friendly!

I loved the little cabin in the woods!! It was perfect for a serene escape. The cabin has a beautiful rustic feel and the views are stunning. Definitely check out the stars from the field if you can at night, and take a walk down to the Stream of Consciousness. The drive in and out is also beautiful; you’re surrounded by mountains and rivers. The hot water works great and didn’t run out and all the appliances were spotless. The linens were very clean and all the amenities were as listed!

What a place! its very secluded and off the beaten path, but a perfect spot. If you love nature, this is the place for you. The cottage was better than the pictures and Tim & Cindi were fantastic hosts.
