If you're looking for a beautiful place to just decompress and relax, this place is for you. The residence is located in a rural community with beautiful surroundings. Nice restaurants just a short drive away. We found several in the town of Danville. This was my first trip to Eastern Kentucky and absolutely fell in love with it. The owners are wonderful people and were able to answer any questions that we may have had. I will definitely be going back.

Our stay at this lake house was absolutely amazing! The home was clean, very spacious, and well maintained. Amy was fantastic—super responsive and always helpful whenever we had questions. She replied quickly and made sure we had everything we needed for a smooth and enjoyable stay. The location was beautiful, and we had a great time enjoying the amazing dock. We really had a blast using the kayaks provided. Whether you’re looking for a peaceful retreat or a fun weekend with friends and family, this place is a perfect choice. Highly recommend!

My husband and I and another couple stayed at The Blue Heron for a long weekend, hoping to get some golf in. Shelly was helpful prior to our arrival with grocery and dinner suggestions. We were able to find the place with no problems and had easy access to get in. Very quiet location. Did not see anyone the entire stay. The main house was the perfect size for 4 people. Living room/kitchen provided enough space for us all to be together. The deck would have be great space with the fire pit and outdoor seating. We just happened to come during a 4 day nonstop rain. Which did make for great sleeping. The boathouse provided space for the couple we came with. It had a queen bed, small sitting area bathroom and a great view. The main house had a great loft for the other bedroom. The bed and pillows were amazing. Although we did not get one round of golf in, we did find fun things to do in Lexington. It was very relaxing and we look forward to coming back when the weather is better/warmer.

The check in was super easy and the place was exactly as pictured. Very clean and everything worked great.

David was a great host. The house was great and it was extremely nice and comfortable. The back porch was nice. We will definitely will be staying again if we have to come back for work. Thanks again for everything.

Place is amazing! Felt like home, once we left we started to miss it. Extremely spacious, amenities were amazing. Would recommend to anyone who wants to visit Somerset!

We had a great stay at Misty’s cabin. It was cute and you could see Lake Cumberland from the deck so it was very pretty and peaceful. We ended up cutting our trip short because of an unexpected event and Misty was very responsive and understanding, it made the process way less stressful. We definitely want to come back!

I had a wonderful time at this Airbnb! The beautiful surroundings and peaceful nature made for a perfect getaway. Waking up to the joyful sounds of morning birds added an extra touch of magic to our stay. A huge thank you to our host, Michelle, for providing more than we needed and keeping the place nice and clean. I highly recommend this spot for couples—it's private yet conveniently close to markets and restaurants. A truly delightful experience!🙏

Christopher’s place at Woodson Bend Resort provided all that was necessary for a wonderful family stay the first week of August. The weather was beautiful and so we enjoyed the comfortable and well-appointed back porch; the walks to the pool; the dry-accommodating and nicely-decorated living spaces; and, the closeness in proximity to the pickleball courts. After our days on the boat, we were grateful for the ample kitchen space, cookware, utensils, and kitchen linens to enjoy family meals around the table! The location of this unit is excellent - easy to reach the Pro Shop, pool, restaurant, playground, volleyball court and pickleball courts. We did not use the outdoor fire pit, but noticed the stock of wood and great arrangement of outdoor chairs that would make this a very lovely space to enjoy. Would highly recommend Christopher’s place in Woodson Bend!

My family loved staying at this condo in Woodson Bend. The unit itself was extremely clean. The appliances appeared brand new and worked well. We loved the screened in porch and saw multiple deer right outside our porch every day. The televisions in the units had all of the major streaming services installed, which was great for my kids to enjoy movies and tv shows in the evenings. We were able to walk to the front of the resort to enjoy the pool and playground, both of which were clean and nicely maintained. My husband, dad, and brother in law enjoyed the golf course. The restaurant at the resort is delicious as well. It is BYOB, which isn’t a bad deal as long as you have plenty of what you like to drink in your condo. Only two drawbacks to this unit-the sheets on the beds are not the softest and the bunk room is very small with no windows. Neither of these were dealbreakers for us and we would definitely stay in the unit again! The bunk room is probably better for kids than adults.

This is a lovely condo in Woodson Bend resort. The condo was clean and had everything we needed. The view from the windows is of the golf course and provides a beautiful setting. Close to the pool and the pickleball courts. Host did a great job in communicating and checking on us to make sure everything was perfect. This is a scenic area of Lake Cumberland and we rented a boat for the day from Burnside Marina. The restaurants of Somerset are close by and the options are plentiful. Great location and great condo.

The condo was as advertised. We have stayed in many units at this location. Units have a variety of configurations. Communication with the host is good. Take time to connect with them if you want to get a better idea of which units they have listed might be best for you.

Stayed while traveling for work, the host was very accommodating.

We enjoyed our stay very much! The house and resort were perfect. Everything was very well kept and clean. Our kids loved the swimming pool, and we visited the arcade several times. Robin was very nice to work with, and we hope to visit again!

This place was amazing. Cleanest AIRBNB I have been in. I only wish we had more than an evening to spend. Quiet, peaceful and I definitely want to return. Good place for a mini retreat! Thanks!

Michelle’s home was perfect. Private, quiet and peaceful. We sat out at the fire pit multiple time and enjoyed our evening after a hard days work. Plenty of space inside for families or colleagues. I would recommend to anyone looking for a nice quiet space while visiting the area.

The place was exactly as advertised. The beds were very comfortable and all needed amenities were in the house. The pool and other outdoor areas were well maintained. The docks were awesome! We will be back again next summer.
