Such an amazing location with fantastic facilities. We truly had a great time!

We had 4 lovely quiet and very comfortable nights and 4 super sunny days in Lancaster Cottage. The cottage is a haven of comfort & peace to come back to after a busy day out exploring, and Katie has thought of everything to enable such a relaxing stay. The furnishings and decor are hygge and the planting up to, immediately outside the cottage and along and into the sheltered garden is just wonderful and so sympathetic to the beautiful cottages and stunning scenery. Using the parking space on the end worked out fine and everyone was very friendly. Having the village shop was a real bonus too, along with the various local history books and maps provided in the cottage. Coming early in the year, we struggled to find somewhere nearby for a reasonable evening meal on Wednesday, but that was a tiny thing. We cooked for ourselves on the other evenings in the well-equipped kitchen. A perfect place in a beautiful part of the country - thank you!

Une belle experience de vacances dans ce charmant cottage très...anglais! l'environnement est genial, au milieu des champs, en lisière de la forêt où l'on peut faire de belles promenades. Matloks est à quelques minutes en voiture et se révèle être une jolie bourgade avec de nombreux restaurants et de belles boutiques. La maison est confortable et accueillante, la literie est bonne et l'on dispose de tous les équipements necessaires pour passer quelques jours en toute sérénité. Cet endroit chargé d'histoire est hautement recommandable!! 🤗

Beautiful spacious and comfortable cottage , very tastefully decorated . Very well equipped. It has a very homely feel . We had a lovely stay there .

We had a wonderful weekend staying at the cottage. The place looks even better than the pictures and is in a great location. Everything was clean and tidy, including the hot tub. Sam was a very helpful and responsive host. We took advantage of the in house massage treatments that were offered which were fantastic. Both Sam and Elian were very professional and did a great job. It would however have been useful to have a few extra towels and simple amenities such as sugar/kitchen towels/milk. However there were other things available such as tea bags and coffee. Also, in case of larger groups staying it's good to be aware that though there are 3 bathrooms there is only 1 shower. Overall we had a lovely weekend and would definitely book again!

We had an amazing stay, Claire's had everything we could possibly need & more! Location was great, a 1 minute walk to the local pub which was really friendly & great for quiz night on a Wednesday! A 20 minute walk into Holmfirth for a choice of lovely coffee shops & places to eat! Plenty of walks & bike rides straight out of the house! Thank you for having us & thank you so much for all the tasty treats!

This was our second stay here. It’s great value for money and has all the basics. Great for family get togethers.

Lovely barn in a rural location within easy reach of local amenities. Very friendly and welcoming host. On the doorstep of all the great cycling/walking trails.

Very beautiful surroundings and cleverly executed indoor swimming pool, sauna and massage rooms! Some minor issues with the heating of the Manners and sounds of the swimmers below however it’s a great little escape! Highly recommend it.

We had a brilliant one night stay. We loved it. Took our boys and dog and everyone had a great time. It’s a stunning location and is a really great outdoor space, including the outdoor kitchen, BBQ and fire pit. Really well equipped. The hosts’ communication was spot. Shame it was only one night, still worth it though.

Amazing place, great hosts. Had a really nice weekend here. Place is in such a nice location there wasn’t any need to go out anywhere. Loved the stay!

Brilliant amenities in the cabin, felt very spacious! Loved the rewilding, enjoyed the woodland walk and watching the trains (not noisy, don’t worry!). We can recommend Belton House, walk between Woolthorpe and Belvoir Castle and Mannakin Hall! Hope to stay here again : )

We have had the most amazing few days in the Damson pod. It was so clean, spacious and had everything we needed for our stay. The outdoor space is beautiful and the children loved playing freely in the sectioned off field. They loved saying hello to the alpacas every morning, and Sarah invited us to come and feed them too which my daughter was delighted about! Sarah made us feel really welcome, provided discounts for the local area and put a lovely little welcome pack with biscuits and drinks which was so nice! We had the best time and wish we could have stayed longer!

It was amazing experience. Peaceful, quiet beautiful. Hot tub, cabin, area everything was just what we needed to relax. Area was great just we had not enough time to see everything will be coming back as soon as possible to see it all. I can recommend this place to everyone.

We had a beautiful stay at Badgers Bottom. Steve was so friendly and we felt right at home from the minute we arrived. The space was beautiful and so peaceful. We loved the style of the property and it is clear how much time and energy Steve has put into this property to make it as beautiful and homely as it is. Thank you for a lovely stay! We had a wonderful few days staying at the cabin, enjoying the idyllic garden and being immersed in nature. The natural swimming pond had clear water and the showering in a hot outdoor shower before and after was lovely. We didn't get to use the sauna because I had a dry cough so we will just have to go back. Wills's attention to detail inside and out was spot on. It was hard to leave the poolside deck where you could watch sunlight dance on the water, blackbirds washing in the shallows and pond skaters darting about. The cabin itself was well equipped, with a wonderfully crafted interior and cosy with views straight on to the garden and pool. It was completely restorative physically and visually. Berrywell felt like a pocket of paradise and a special find. Thank you
