The nicest Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in! The cottage was absolutely lovely and the surrounding view was just stunning - made all the more enjoyable with the huge windows! The hosts have really thought of everything with so many extra nice touches around the cottage. Would whole heartedly recommend!

Very professional management. Cottage is in the front yard of a private residence, but very private. Located in a quiet residential neighborhood so definitely need a car to get to other parts of town. Hot tub was a bonus!

This is the second time we have stayed at the lake house in Lake Tarawera, We couldn't recommend it enough! Such an awesome spot if you have a boat or jetskis , If not they have kayaks you are welcome to use. Playground is about a 3-5 minute walk for the kids, Tennis Court is right at your door step. All the neighbors are very friendly and make you feel right at home. If your thinking about booking don't think about it just book it you will have an amazing time!

The most caring host I’ve ever dealt with on Airbnb, very understanding and kind, this will be the only place I’ll come back to stay at when I’m back with my family in Rotorua, next time my wife will do all the booking ;) lol

This was the best stay we had while in New Zealand, and we wish you could have stayed longer. It was so cute and comfortable. Everything made it feel like we were right at home, and they even provided breakfast. If we are able to make it back this way, we would absolutely stay again!

We absolutely loved our stay at Kearu’s Nest. The beds were so comfortable, and the linen was beautiful. After a magical day on the lake, it was amazing to come home to an outdoor fire and relax in the spa. The birdlife was incredible, and the tūī birdsong made it even more special. With just a short walk to the lake, we made the most of early morning swims. We will definitely be back. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality, Ange and Dave!

The cottage is private, spacious and homey, over looking a pretty valley. We felt good being there and sad to leave. The location is 30 minutes or less from Rotorua and maybe 50 minutes from Huka falls. Watching the Milky Way from the hot tub was a special treat!

Wonderful, commutative, friendly host, wonderful place! The accommodation was sparkling clean! We couldn’t believe it! We have found that most places that are dog friendly use it as an excuse to have a less than beautifully clean home. As if people with pets have dirty homes! But this place was spotless! The host was so friendly and helpful and accommodating. The garden was just gorgeous. And although the garden wasn’t completely enclosed, a screw in long line is provided which was perfect to let our dog explore without going too far! In terms of cost, i understand with ‘pets allowed’, costs are higher than usual. But it wouldn’t stop us going back. Definitely recommend! Oh! And make sure when you type in satnav you put in Te Renga and not Waihi as the same address exists in both towns 😣 Thank you, you gorgeous people for a heavenly stay. Comfortable and well equipped cottage with spacious bedrooms and lovely lake views. We really enjoyed learning the story of the area, and exploring Rotorua and the wider region. The cottage is ideally placed for travel in any direction. We would be happy to stay again.

We had a wonderful stay and the space catered for all our needs. Tarawera is a magical spot, and this venue allowed us time together without WiFi and the busyness of city life. The reserve and swings, trampoline and bbq area were major bonuses. Thank you for opening this special space for us to use. We recommend for families who love nature and the beauty that Tarawera has to offer!

Great old school batch that felt very chill. Awesome to get to use the kayaks and lovely walks nearby. Added bonus was the toy box and the box of duplo which made the stay so much easier with the kids!

Dan's place is just a piece of paradise! Right in front of the lake, with private jetty and private ramp, away from the main road, totally safe for children. Highly recommend! Dan is very responsive and welcoming, makes you feel like home. Looking forward to return again!

Nadia’s place was charming and was located in a convenient area in a quiet neighborhood. There was easy access to Rotorua attractions. Nadia was great with communication and posted information about Rotorua on her site. Would def stay there again!!

Easy coms for check in etc.. The cottage is modern clean and in a nice quite location. The location was ideal for us as we were attending an event down the road... Nice and warm sitting on the balcony looking across at the tree top of th red forest was stunning Thanks Frith.. hope to stay again soon Cheers ken & Family

Rob’s place is wonderful. This was the best place we stayed during our time in Aotearoa/New Zealand. The home is lakefront. It’s so peaceful at all hours of the day, though the morning is stunning. Rob greeted us on arrival & made sure we knew the ins/outs of his home. The rooms are spacious, super clean, and beds were perfect (I slept very well). There are kayaks available if you want to get out on the lake. Kitchen is stocked with supplies. There was an abundance of supplies: towels/blankets/robes. The washer/dryer availability was much appreciated. Overall, it was a fantastic stay & I wish we had more time in the area to enjoy the property fully. Rob is great & I hope to be back again/will stay here.

We had an amazing four night stay here. The apartment was excellently furnished, the location effectively on the lakefront was fantastic and the outlook across the lake to Mount Tarawera was beautiful. We could not have wished for more. Thank you Murray for being such a great host

perfect hideaway. When I lost my phone Florence helped us by calling around. always responded fast and friendly. The love shack is fantastic. quiet, secluded, peaceful, beautifull views..

Gorgeous little place to stay in an idyllic location. We used the jetty for our boat which was so convenient, dinner and brunch at the Okere Falls store (delicious food) and slept very well in the comfy bed. We hope to be back!
