We had an amazing few days at the most beautiful location and house! The hosts were very accommodating and helpful with all requests. The house was beautiful and fitted our three families perfectly. The location couldn't be better, and the kids loved riding their bikes out front and walk down to the playground. We loved being able to swim right at the doorstep and jump on the boat with ease. An amazing place!

We traveled around New Zealand for a month and this was one of our favorite homes. It was private, peaceful, clean, well-stocked, and comfortable. Jordan was very responsive to our needs, even welcoming us with chocolate and milk. I'd highly recommend this place!

8 single guests stayed and we all had a room each the space was used well in the house, all the things you really need for your stay were there, plus a few more. There are a few shops and restrauts/take aways at the bottom of the street, or its a 5-10 minute drive to city centre. If you are after the lakes thats 5 minutes up the street, and if you want to do the tree line walk well that is basically opposite the house. Everyone enjoy there time here and we would all recommend this as a great place to stay.

Anna’s place is like a paradise. It is something I could back for more peaceful and quiet surroundings. We really enjoyed our stay. Nice and clean spaces with everything you needed if you are not a very organised person. Hehe. Will definitely come back and hopefully I could still possibly book if we can get another chance

Was a lovely place to stay with my little family. Close to the Redwoods which is where we wanted to be. Felt safe at all times.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. House had everything we needed in a quiet suburb only a few minutes drive into town. Supermarket and some takeaway restaurants only a couple of minutes drive away. Highly recommend for a family stay.

Unser Aufenthalt war einfach perfekt! Von der ersten Minute an haben wir uns wohlgefühlt. Das Haus ist mit so viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet – vom stilvollen Interior über die gemütlichen Badewannen bis hin zu all den kleinen Extras wie einem Milchaufschäumer. Das knisternde Feuer hat für eine besonders gemütliche Atmosphäre gesorgt, und der atemberaubende Ausblick war das absolute Highlight. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt, und wir wären gerne noch länger geblieben. Vielen Dank für diese wundervolle Zeit – wir kommen gerne wieder! Eli & Nico ☺️

Another blissful stay at the Lake. One of the best locations in NZ and still feels like a secret. The lake and surroundings are beautiful and the property ideally placed to make the most of it. Lovely walks through the forest too.

Definitely recommend especially for families. Was so quiet and comfy. Also rly good for pricing. Place was clean along with all linen and bedding. Had everything we needed

We had a lovely stay. I can recommend the place to families. Especially great during summer time with the big garden.

We had an amazing time at Gary's and Jude's place. The house was private, spacious, and well-equipped including Kayaks. It was pet and family friendly with a fully fenced deck and a breath-taking view over Lake Tarawera. The swimming and fishing was great! We loved every minute of our stay.

Jessica's place is a lovely spot - I particularly enjoyed how quiet it was and the lush greenery surrounding the apartment. The view from the bedroom just has sth. very tranquil about it. 10 min. drive to Rotorua 'central' and just a short distance to a nice lake shore. Communications were clear; apartment as described. Can certainly recommend this.

Overall, it was really great. I want to come back next time.

The home and location were great and the home had the space for our family of 8. The dining area was crowded for our crew and we had to find more chairs in the garage so everyone could sit. Overall though It was comfortable. The home is aging, but functional. The backyard was not very inviting, but the front yard felt safe. The little tree swing in front was a nice touch that my kids loved.

funky rumpus room reno... but clean & well equipped. plenty of room and cheap... having a washing machine a big plus... close to downtown but not too close to the sulphurous fumes ;-) parking was a bit of a challenge up a steep drive...but owners were really very helpful

Michelle was very nice, greeting us and showing us around upon arrival. The view from the room was simply stunning. Far better than imagined. We were aware that we were sharing the space with Michelle and her kiddos, so we weren’t bothered at all by them. We could hear them running around being kids but our privacy was respected. There was also a nice cat that came to say hello. Only complaint was that the bed was not too comfortable, but overall a very nice stay.

Tamson’s place was perfect for our family (parents, with adult children, their partners, plus dogs). Beautiful big home with space and privacy for everyone. Areas to swim, walk, run or bike around different lakes, private spa to relax in afterwards. Close enough to Rotorua for shopping, but out in beautiful nature and so peaceful. Highly recommend Tamson’s place!

The most caring host I’ve ever dealt with on Airbnb, very understanding and kind, this will be the only place I’ll come back to stay at when I’m back with my family in Rotorua, next time my wife will do all the booking ;) lol

Dave is a wonderful host and went above and beyond to ensure we had what we needed during our stay. The cabin is cosy and well appointed and in a beautiful sunny and peaceful location. Our dogs loved the space and especially enjoyed meeting Dave's own dog (and they are very sorry about the destroyed toy!). Highly recommend this place to anyone traveling with their 4 legged friend. We will definitely be back again.

This might sound like a bad review but it is not meant as such. It's so future guests aren't surprised. We enjoyed our stay here immensely. The chalet was perfect for a couple. Nice comfy firm bed, good kitchenette and ensuite. The chalet is on the grounds of a Christian camp facility for horse riding. The grounds are expansive. There's a small lake with kayaks for use. There's a pool with cool water and a very warm open air spa. The grounds themselves are lovely but the pool area needs some aesthetic tidying. The pools are clean and good - they just need their floors painted. They're also amongst what seems to be a semi abandoned construction area. But get past that superficial stuff, the pools are fine for purpose. A dawn spa was delightful. The grounds themselves seem to have 500 unfinished DIY projects on the go. The roads around the facility seem to have been through an artillery barrage so if you have a very low profile car, be wary. Despite the above we LOVED staying here. It was hot weather when we stayed and the room was very warm. In fact it could use a plug-in fan to circulate the air a bit. I totally recommend staying here and when I come back to Rotorua I'd definitely stay here again.

perfect location for exploring rotorua and surrounds. dharmen went above and beyond to ensure the stay was comfortable. perfect accommodation for longer stays or a larger group with a kitchen setup with every appliance you can think off and plenty of space.

What a special stay! The pictures don’t do this cabin and yard justice—it’s even more beautiful in person. The setting is peaceful and inviting, making it a joy to unwind. The host is kind, the amenities are thoughtful and the bed feels like sleeping on a cloud. The lush surroundings add to the magic. Highly recommend cooking dinner at the cabin (or firing up the grill!) and soaking in the atmosphere. Wish we had another night to enjoy it all!
