We truly enjoyed our stay here! Close to town but still felt private and tucked away in nature. The home was simple, well stocked and easy to navigate and there is a terrific set up for dogs too. Host was very responsive to our questions and we had seamless communication. Overall, we had a great time away from home :)

This cottage is a firm favourite of ours, and once again, we had an absolutely wonderful stay. Everything was exactly as we remembered – clean, welcoming, and beautifully maintained. The atmosphere is so cosy and relaxing, making it the perfect place to unwind and escape the hustle and bustle of city life. We always look forward to coming back, and this visit was no exception. We can't wait to return again soon for another peaceful getaway!

Waking up to the view of the lake and spending time by the water was such a treat. The house was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Wow! This private 5 bedroom wooden log house was absolutely fantastic. From the moment we arrived, we were charmed by its cozy, rustic appeal. The firepit was a huge highlight – perfect for relaxing evenings under the stars. And the hot tub? Pure bliss after a day of exploring. The kitchen was another standout feature. It was incredibly well-equipped with absolutely everything we needed to cook delicious meals. We really appreciated having all the necessary appliances and even some extras. Beyond the amazing amenities, the house itself was spotless, comfortable (especially the beds and pillows), and beautifully maintained. oh, and did I mention Arunraj was a very responsive host! It truly felt like a home away from home. We didn't want to leave! We wholeheartedly recommend this Airbnb for a memorable and relaxing getaway. Five stars all the way!

We had a cozy and fun stay at this beautiful cottage. The cottage is newly built, very clean, and well designed. It provided us everything we needed and more! 4 comfortable bedrooms that were quiet enough for us to be there with a 1-year-old. Lorie is a very thoughtful host and was quick to answer any questions we had. The lake was still frozen when we were there but it looks like a great spot to canoe and swim. Already discussing when we can return!

If I could rate this place in one sentence it would be "we wished we lived here". Everyone in my family (dog included) loved the property. It was CLEAN, nice, spacious, warm and exactly as what you see in the photos. We didn't use the indoor fireplace at all as the home was well heated (I get cold easily too). The living room makes you feel very cozy when the sunsets and watching the stars at night here is breathtaking. The hosts sends you a PDF guide prior to your arrival so you know what to expect and a hard copy is available onsite as well. We mainly communicated with Foad and he was very responsive, kind and really helped us out when we got lost on our way there. Quick tip: use Google Maps! The hosts also provided complimentary chocolate and champagne when you arrive which was an added bonus. I'm also very thankful for the complimentary Keurig/ hot chocolate! Will definitely revisit again!

Words cannot describe how impressed we were with Laughing Moose. The minute I walked in the front door I felt I could live here for ever. The incredible views, the spacious kitchen the stylish little pieces of decor make this place comfortable, relaxing and luxury. Janice pays attention to every little detail to ensure we had a fabulous time! From the selection of quality glasses, crockery and cooking utensils to the games and puzzles ( we completed a full jig saw puzzle between us) we had everything we could possibly need and much more. Even a thoughtful and delicious blueberry pie to welcome us !! We were visiting from Australia and planned this weekend with our two sons and families for a getaway together. It couldn’t have been more perfect and we made such fabulous memories. So much space for all 8 of us plus the 2 dogs! I can’t thank you enough for this special visit! The cottage was surrounded by beautiful views, had a comfy interior and was close to excellent trails. It had everything we needed to make wonderful meals, enjoy a fire, and relax the time away! We really enjoyed hiking to the view point on bear mountain. Remember to bring all supplies as we ran into a situation where we didn’t bring shampoo/conditioner, etc. The cottage has a few decks, all with comfortable seating and great views. If you’re looking for a quiet spot, close to nature and the lake then this is your place :)

Davids place was beautiful and made for an enjoyable stay for our group visit. He was responsive and provided all additional details both in our chats as well as leaving a small booklet in the cottage itself highlighting places of interest nearby. The firepit and the gazebo are the most impressive parts of the property. Wifi coverage inside the cottage was fantastic and was very useful for any further research since the cellular network coverage is spotty at best. Bon Echo is just about a 20 minute drive away and there are more places within a 1 hour radius though we chose to mostly have a leisurely time on the property itself. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a quiet, private fun time in the middle of nature.

This place was beautiful and beyond what we expected. We ended up staying an extra night due to a big ice storm. We had no choice. The roads were blocked with fallen down trees. Marcia was very accommodating and responded quickly to our messages. We had no hydro and she had a generator for us to use and her husband instructed us to use it. All Marcia cared about was how we were doing and if we were safe. She made sure we were good for hydro and heat. Would I come here again or recommend other people to come…… of course❤️ You’d be crazy not to make this your getaway. Thank you Marcia❤️

My family and I were happy to stay at this rental property for a second time over the Easter long weekend. Barry continues to be a great host. The home remains spacious enough for a big family (and dog!), while remaining cozy and comfortable. We had yet another peaceful weekend in the Valley. Thank you for your hospitality once again, Barry! We look forward to our next visit.

A lovely and relaxing cottage in a serene landscape. Truly enjoyed our stay and hope to return back one day.

It was our second time staying at this cottage, and both times in the winter. It’s been 3 years since we came here before, and a few things had some general wear, like the outdoor transport wagons etc. But it was mostly the way we remembered it. Some issues with the tv, dvd set up, ( we couldn’t locate the dvd remote or find the Xbox.), but we LOVE this cottage and the hosts are so responsive and welcoming and have made the kabin’s interiors so magical and thoughtfully considered. Even though it was a very snowy wintery stay, there was still lots to do in the area. Our favourite spots are the sculpture forest, the wolf Center, and a day trip to Bancroft! Highly recommend this magical spot.

Jim’s place was great and had absolutely everything we needed (well stocked on coffee, tea, spices etc). My two sisters and I went up for a quiet getaway for a few days and it was just lovely. The cottage itself is beautiful and so is the property. We came during winter and it was still gorgeous but we can only imagine how extremely beautiful it is in summer when you can enjoy more time outside. Everything was so clean inside and they had thought of tons of small things to keep us comfortable. Well worth the drive and visit to this beautiful place and we would love to come again!

We enjoyed a lovely week at Matt's place on Lake Clear. The cottage was very clean and had enough room for us to spread out. We loved spending time down by the bunk house over looking the water. The cottage was well appointed and had everything we needed to enjoy our vacation.

We stayed in Lyle’s beautiful cottage for thanksgiving weekend and Loved the place. It was clean, tidy, child friendly as he had kept some board games as well. My 6 year old was super excited seeing the bunk bed in one of the rooms. Moreover the kitchen had almost everything that we needed to cook our meals. The best part of our stay was canoeing in the morning as there were enough canoes, life jackets of each size. Overall, we loved our stay at this place and would recommend our friends. Though it is far from GTA, it was worth the long drive. And Lyle is a great host , very responsive to messages hence I didn’t find any issues in communicating, thanks !.

This cottage was the absolute perfect place to enjoy some down time as a family! The cottage was clean, well equipped and located on a beautiful, quiet beach. Everything we needed was provided and more! We enjoyed playing soccer on the large sandy beach, swimming, fishing, board games, campfires and watching movies in the evening. The kids and parents loved it!

We really enjoyed our stay - nice and quiet area and a great base for exploring Manitou mountain and calabogie peaks resort. Clean and tidy. Recommend!

Hands down one of the best cottages we’ve stayed at. Beautiful lakefront location with everything you need and more included with your stay. The sauna was a lovely added touch. Communication was great and the cottage was very clean and finished to a high standard. We’ll be sure to come back one day!

We had the best weekend! The house is perfect. Fully equipped with everything you could need and decorated so lovely- I can’t think of anything I’d want different. The location is idyllic- peaceful, beautiful, yet very convenient to get to lovely local trails. Peter was incredibly friendly and quick to respond. I hope we get an opportunity to return as we would 100% recommend it!

My family of 11 (parents, grandparents, siblings, kids) had a lovely stay over Thanksgiving weekend. The cabins were so well stocked with everything you could possibly need for cooking etc, and Janet was quick to respond to any concerns and questions we had during our stay. The weather was lovely, the cabins were so charming and comfortable, and we couldn't have asked for better weather. We would absolutely consider coming back again.

Thank you Ryan!! This listing is the perfect escape from the city and has EVERYTHING you need. The host was very responsive, walked us through setting up a fire. Even in the craziest of snowstorms it was cozy and warm. Gorgeous decor. Comfortable couch. Couldn't say enough nice words!! Some airbnbs you can tell the host has never actually stayed there because they are missing dishes etc or it's not set up nicely. This place was PERFECT and you can tell the host puts a lot of care into the space and has stayed there themselves. Will have to be back!!!!!!!
