great place and I loved being able to bring our dogs. they loved the gated yard to run around in while we chilled in the hot tub. we'd love to visit sometime in the summer to check out more of the lake activities.

This was our second visit to Amanda’s and just like the first time, it left my boys with fun memories. We will be back next summer.

Every year we visit Cypress there are more improves and amenities. Always a great stay and so much to do. Amanda and her team run this place like a well oiled machine. We visit once in the winter and once or twice in the summer. A favorite for sure.

Very homey and private. Very helpful and generous hostess! The idea of sharing a hot tub with potentially other people is a bit off putting. Went is the winter months, it was still a BLAST!

The place was great! Once we arrived the jacuzzi was ready for us, we had an issue with leaking dishwasher but David was quick to respond and help us! Great location, highly recommend!

The place was beautiful. The house is a bit old but we didn’t mind it, it made it feel homey in a way. My friends and I loved the hot tub, would love to come back again.

The Butterfly Cottage is such a special place! It worked out perfect for us and our dog. The house was spotless and had everything we needed. Travel back and forth to Burlington was quick and easy to navigate. We hope to return in the summer and get out on the water!

Clean and cozy accommodations. For us, the location is near-perfect -- close to family and easy access to main roads and the train line. We weren't able to take advantage of the outdoor amenities since it was wintertime, but I'm speculating a summer visit would elevate the property's fun factor.

Even before check in Allison was quick to respond and helpful. We stayed in January so it was very cold outside and she encouraged us to raise the thermostat as much as we liked. The age of the home adds to the charm and there’s plenty of blankets available but even so raising the thermostat made it so toasty we didn’t need them. I would definitely book again in the summer and the decor throughout the home gave a personal touch. The personal toiletries amenities were a definite plus in case you forget anything. We’ve stayed at many other homes and you have the bare minimum. Allison went above and beyond. Another plus was they are pet friendly and made the trip complete to have the whole family included even our fur babies. The large back yard gave them space to run around.

This was a great little off season getaway. The cabin was priced right and since most attractions were not yet open we just enjoyed hanging out and relaxing. Shout out to Steve across the street at Power Boat Rental, he got us out on the lake even though it was way early in the season.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at Tara’s cottage! The cottage is so cute and clean and we felt right at home. Tara checked on us and gave us some great recommendations on where to eat and where we could pick up some groceries. We were able to bring our fur babies which was a huge plus. The neighborhood is very nice and I felt very safe walking the dogs by myself. I hope we are able to come back sometime! I would definitely stay here again!

Adorable historic home with high secure fenced in yard for our dogs! Loved the large porch overlooking the backyard with comfy furniture, small dining table w chairs, and grill, partially covered for shade or avoiding rain. The only bathroom is on upper level with bedrooms. Located on curve of busy street so tricky to pull out from driveway. Traffic noise woke us up early. 3/4 mile to Lake Geneva shore/beach and most of shopping and dining. Lots of good restaurants, some within walking distance and some we had to drive. Very cool pedestrian trail around Lake Geneva - access is 3/4 mile from house at the beach. Didn't use kitchen very much but seemed pretty well stocked. There was a separate ice maker and a Keurig with coffee pods provided (no decaf).

Our stay was wonderful! The space was cozy, clean, and had everything we needed for a short getaway. The lake view was beautiful, and the comfy couch made it easy to relax. We especially appreciated the filtered hot and cold water—it was such a thoughtful touch. We only wish the weather had been warmer so we could have enjoyed the water activities, but that just gives us a great reason to come back. We can’t wait to visit again!

Brought a group of kids up to lake Delavan to ice fish. Great house just a short walk from the lake and a 2 min drive to get to the parking lot where you can walk onto the ice. Fenced in back yard with firepit was a big plus for our winter stay. Host was very responsive to messages sent through the App. Would definitely stay again.

Perfectly magical historical comfort! One of the most beautiful and most charmingly decorated historical homes we’ve ever been hosted in! We love older homes and discovering all their quirks. This little cottage did not disappoint. The hosts are across the street and were friendly and kind. The house was comfortable with clear instructions and well stocked with all the things you need, especially in the kitchen. We can’t wait to come back and see the gardens in warmer weather but this is a cozy place to stay any time of the year. We were in the area to attend graduation at Great Lakes. We had 4 adults and the cottage was perfect for this with comfortable beds, great resources and lot of restaurants nearby and adorable shops. It was an easy walk down to the lake via dog park. Leave time to wander around this charming and friendly neighborhood. Love it!

My wife and I have been active on Airbnb for several years and we've experienced quite a few wonderful rentals; however, Susan's place stands out for several reasons. Her rental was exquisitely clean, very comfortable, and filled with little touches that made it feel like home. One not so little "touch" was the brand new massage chair in the living room - what a wonderful surprise! We loved luxuriating in that chair after our visits to the Bristol Ren Faire.

Madeline was a great host and very responsive with communication. The home is older but clean, cozy and comfortable. Only downfall is a single bathroom for 8 people but we made it work. Would like to visit again in the summer time to take advantage of everything within walking distance. Definitely recommend and would like to stay here again.

This was my second time staying at Marianne's place and I really love it. Right on the river, and super quiet and peaceful. Would be happy to stay again sometime!

I stayed at the cottage for one month, as my home in town was being renovated and I needed somewhere to stay. The cottage provided a cozy, comfortable, and private space. The description was accurate. The view of the river was calming and the fox that visited during the winter storm was a highlight of the stay. That is certainly memorable! The home was so beautifully appointed, we felt like we were in a home full of love and warmth. And the location was incredible, close to downtown Barrington but still surrounded by nature and served as an oasis from the fast place of life. I would highly recommend this home and the wonderful hosts! They thought of every detail and made us feel so welcome and cared for.
