If you like quiet peaceful place with great views this is the place. A short easy drive to town for groceries or dinner. Great hikes nearby come home have beverage on the porch and watch the sun set with the sheep and horses (Mickey and Ringo)

We really enjoyed our stay, great location with awesome views - short walk to beach, park etc. Very calming environment. We all made use of the outdoor bath & the marshmallows for the fire pit were a great idea! Can't wait to stay again!

I had the pleasure of booking the Kawau's Airbnb, and it was an absolutely delightful experience! From the moment our staff arrived, they were welcomed with warmth and kindness. The space was immaculately clean, beautifully decorated, and had everything they needed for a comfortable stay. Anneke was an incredibly thoughtful and attentive host, always available to answer any questions, and made sure they had everything they needed to feel at home. The location was perfect—quiet, yet close to local attractions, making it easy to explore the area. We had a lovely stay at Leane’s place. She was super responsive and helpful. The house was spotless and we felt right at home. It was the perfect peaceful country escape. The alpacas and sheep were also very friendly.

Lizzie and Craig were some of the nicest, friendliest hosts we have encountered on AirBNB. In advance of the trip Lizzie sent us a long and helpful list of places we could eat and shop, plus hikes and things to do. On the day before our arrival she asked where we’d be travelling from and if we’d like suggestions for potential stops on the day. Super, super helpful. They also stored some bags for us while we were on an overnight cruise from Manapouri. Great folks! The property itself was as we expected. New and comfortable. Lovely morning and evening views and, in our case, lots of unique sound effects from the neighbouring deer. A very memorable stay in a lovely location between Te Anau and Manapouri.
