Great location in a walkable neighborhood of Black Mountain, NC. House is warm and inviting. We enjoyed our time there. Rooms are small and it is hard to imagine 12 people staying in this place. We are a family of 8 and it seemed a bit cramped at times. If you plan to eat meals together at the house it would be difficult to have seating for all; there is no real kitchen table. Kitchen is cozy, but they do have two, one upstairs and one downstairs in a cleverly concealed staircase. There is no dishwasher, so be prepared to wash and dry dishes if you eat at the house. Kids really enjoyed to pool and hot tub. Also the inside of the house is warm and inviting, personal decorations and books and toys will make a family feel right at home or potentially nervous that something will be left out of place or broken. Overall, we felt the place suited our needs and we were thankful for our time there. Hosts clearly love their home and have done a nice job making it a place that is inviting.

The views from the porch are amazing! There’s tons of stuff to do at the house, you don’t even have to leave. Check in was easy, check out was even easier, and Blanche was very effective at communicating throughout our stay. Would definitely come back here!

This was our fifth year staying at Elevacres. We have so enjoyed each visit. Kevin was, again, a great host. Thank you for everything. We will miss your home as our AVL rental, but can’t argue with you wanting that daily view back. Cheers!

A wonderful home stocked with all the essentials to make a pleasant stay! Amanda is a great communicator and fabulous host. Pool, hot tub, and ping pong table are amenities packed in an efficient and spacious home. I was thrilled with the kitchen setup, and my family loved having two separate living room spaces. The porch is very nice, and overlooks both the pool and hot tub. Linens are clean. Decorations are minimal and homey. Plenty of space for a family or group to come together. Neighborhood is great and less than 5 minutes to Tanger Outlets, restaurants, grocery and Blue Ridge Parkway. Everything else is an easy 15-20 minutes away, from Biltmore to Downtown Asheville, everything feels like it is at your fingertips. What a great stay, we look forward to coming back when the pool is open!

I had a wonderful stay at this mountain house. The location was breathtaking, with stunning views of the surrounding landscape that allowed me to truly unwind. The house itself was cozy and well-equipped, offering all the comforts needed for a relaxing getaway. I especially enjoyed the rustic decor, which added a warm and authentic feel to the space. Being close to hiking trails and nature spots was a bonus, as it allowed for easy exploration and outdoor activities. Overall, a fantastic place to disconnect and enjoy the peace of the mountains. Highly recommended!

The house was beautiful. It had plenty of room for my family to all spend time together or to hang off by themselves if they wanted. Owners were very successful in preparing the property to make you feel right at home. The layout was great and there were plenty of things to do nearby. You had a real mountain feel with anything you may need a quick drive away. I appreciated how responsive the hosts were. We have family in the area and plan to stay again in the future. It was cloudy and rainy most of our stay but it didn't matter. The house is so big and very comfortable. The indoor pool was wonderful. (They are very strict about kids not being allowed in the hot tub though.) We were able to use all of the outdoor amenities, too. The house is charming! The kitchen was well stocked. The kids loved the room with the bunk beds and being able to play with the balls on the pool table. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Great stay at Jon’s house. It was very clean and we loved the fenced in back yard. Our bed was cozy too! Close to Black Mountain where we had a great dinner!

Tonya’s place had everything we could have needed. The bed was comfy, the layout spacious —we felt right at home. The backyard was very peaceful and beautiful as well. I would definitely book again.

We stayed here to attend a wedding in the area. The host was very communicative, the house was very nice, clean and comfortable. Would stay here in the future if we are ever in the area again.

This place was simple and amazing! Such a gorgeous view - we wanted to sit outside in the rocking chairs all days. Perfect place for a small reunion with children. We would definitely rent again - hosts were super responsive.

The house was a wonderful place to stay for our visit to Brevard. Location was close to town, hiking, and waterfalls. The inside of the house is very neat and clean. All of the furniture is very nice and comfortable. Would highly recommend.

With over 50 Airbnb stays, I have to say this stay was fantastic (picky husband approved!). The house has an older feel with great porches, wide baseboards and fireplaces, but the bathrooms and kitchen were absolutely modern and Clean. The beds and couches were comfortable. The grounds on which the house sits are amazing. Fireflies, wildlife and walking paths abound. I was working an event in Hendersonville for the weekend and the proximity was perfect. Based on other reviews, we made sure to arrive during daylight hours to avoid any "hard to find" issues. I am glad we were able to do that. Our full size truck with a rack did fit through the narrow pass by the garage...barely. If you can't drive it, don't own it. We asked for an early arrival (2pm) and extended our stay by 1 day. Every communication was answered quickly and both requests accommodated. I did not want to leave and I will keep this property in my favorites list for sure. I can't wait to stay again!

We had an amazing couple of days, the location was beautiful. The small hike to the water fall was definitely a memorable experience. I would highly recommend this picture perfect, peaceful retreat to families as well as couples. Gustavo and Isabel were extremely kind to let us arrive a few hours early as our drive was shorter than expected. Thank you for the hospitality.

This was an excellent choice for our extended family. My parents, myself, and each of my kids had their own private bedrooms. In addition, there were two bathrooms upstairs plus a half-bath downstairs. We enjoyed lots of areas to sit and visit with family. The dining table was big enough to accommodate us all and we even had enough room to play several card games. The kitchen had a nice big refrigerator/freezer and was well stocked with anything we needed. The Keurig got lots of use since we are all big coffee drinkers. I liked that we didn't have to bring any linens/towels. In addition, having a washer and dryer on site made it easy to have plenty of clean towels to use. The hot tub outside was an added perk!

We loved staying at the Highland House! It was the perfect place to relax after exploring the mountains and downtown (Easy drive to downtown, about 20 minutes). The views were amazing and the house was well stocked and clean. The host communicated all the essentials and recommendations before we got there and we had no problem with anything. Great place to stay!!

We highly recommend as one of the best places we stayed in North Carolina. Hits all the marks, including value proportion. The hosts put a lot of attention and care into making it a high quality experience.

Lovely home that felt like it was brand new, but it was also quite comfortable. Loved the fireplace and view of sunrise on the trees, fresh air, and having a secluded retreat close to all the Asheville happenings. Great communications from our host and we would definitely stay here again!
