Stunning location with a spectacular view. House was comfortable and coped very well with our group of 7, however the upstairs bedrooms need to be shared by a family as access to the bathroom was through the other bedroom. Road up to house very tricky and probably better attempted with a 4 wheel drive. We had a great week and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Dejligt fredeligt sted, men fantastisk udsigt. 2 min. gang til næsten privat strand. Vi nød virkelig tiden og det rolige liv på altanen. Samtidig var der lidt adspredelse med dart og bordtennis i garagen, et hit for vores teenager. :-)

A wonderful spot for a break. Very relaxing by the beach - especially with access to the kayaks and paddle boards! We really enjoyed our stay, wanted it to be longer!

This roomy, comfortable house, located near water and across from a nature preserve, is perfect for either big-city folk looking for a relaxing getaway or international travelers looking to kick back as a respite from hectic sightseeing. Built high, with living spaces on the second-story, this house gives you the illusion of being in a ship’s wheelhouse, plunging through the reserve’s rolling green landscape. Recent renovations deliver a gleaming, white bathroom with soaking tub and an expansive kitchen and counter bar outfitted with top-notch appliances. Decorated with a pleasing sense of design, with potted plants growing verdantly. Comfortable lounge furniture. Housewares of all kinds. Primo barbecue/dining pavilion out back. Attractive landscaping. This is the rare place that not only lives up to its pictures but is better. A possible downside for tourists: The house is 20 minutes outside Kerikeri, so not near the “sights.” Then again, this place is its own experience.

Incredible stay. The house has everything you could need and more. The outdoor deck is beautiful with a view everyday to match. The location is so lovely, quiet, remote with plenty to do. My whole family was very comfortable here the whole time, loved every second.

We had the most amazing stay at The Beach Bach during our wedding week! The house was the perfect setting for getting ready, with breathtaking views that made for stunning first-look photos on the balcony. The separate main rooms were ideal, allowing me some peaceful moments before the big day while everyone else got ready in the spacious main lounge.Was everything and more what we needed.Jane was an incredible host—so helpful and communicative throughout our stay. She even went the extra mile and made us the most delicious Afghan cookies! We couldn’t have asked for a better place to start our wedding celebrations. Highly recommend this beautiful spot! Will visit you again for sure!

Really well laid out space - easy to cook and clean - upstairs private deck from master room, and such a comfortable king bed. Downstairs great contained space. Easily accomodating lots of people in lounge and for dinner at table ( we had 5 but felt so spacious). Loving being up high and seeing hills and the sea from the lounge. Easy walk to the most beautiful beach. Such a relaxing stay.

Lovely house, very clean, & kitchen well stocked for cooking. Gorgeous view & great breeze from the water, area is very quiet, so we were able to sleep with the windows open. Beach is just steps away & the town is only a 5 min drive to shops, restaurants, & excursions. We highly recommend this house!

Such an incredible location. Was so lovely being able to swim and kayak right off the jetty at the end of the garden. Super friendly neighbours who even gave us some smoked fish. A real hidden gem. Great, friendly and responsive hosts.

Simply the best location. We had beautiful weather so spend the days lying out front hosting family. A step or two to the beach for a swim in the tropical water - high tide the best. House had everything we needed and more . A small/cozy space, plenty enough for drinks and games when the sun goes down. Hosts very helpful, highly recommend.

What a wonderfully perfect seaside retreat. Walking through the tropical garden towards the Cove Cottage, you catch a glimpse of the sea. Then turn the corner to a wonderful view of the cove and the sea beyond. The cottage is quite comfortable, great beds, comfy couches and a well equipped kitchen. The covered porch has a wonderful view where you can watch the tides come and go. At low tide you can walk quite a distance out to a rock ledge, at high tide there’s shallow water for a swim. Bruce lives next door, but you will still feel like you have the place to yourself. Visit nearby Mangonui for terrific fish and chips from Fresh & Tasty in the hotel. And do drive out to Matai Bay for a perfect swimming beach.

Linda’s place is beautifully organised and very clean. Lovely starry nights there. I didn’t explore the surrounds as I was too busy helping set up for my sons wedding, etc. next time I’m in Rangitane I’ll visit her studio 🩵

Lovely villa, very nicely furnished with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Really enjoyed writing a poem on the typewriter! To sit on the verandah, listening to the birds and watching the water is a real treat, whatever the weather, this is a special spot to visit.

Fantastic location. Very private and safe. Amazing lagoon, sand dunes and sandy beach. Pristine surroundings. Fabulous wildlife. Close to Kerikeri for provisions. The accommodation was very well appointed. Great deck. Loved the paddle board and canoes. Comfortable bed and well appointed accommodation.

The house has lovely linen and comfortable beds, but it's the location that makes this place so special. Being right on the beach with unsurpassed views and friendly locals make this place very special. Host was a great communicator and everything was easy. We had the best time

You can’t go wrong with this sweet 2 bedroom home. It felt like home. It was completely comfortable and perfect for what we needed. The grounds are amazing and lit up at night. Yummy fruits to snack on. Oh! And the wonderful items left for breakfast. Diane is so kind and helpful. We could not be more happy to have stumbled on this fabulous Airbnb.

We stayed here for two nights and were very happy we did. Anna is a lovely host, she showed us around the property and recommended glow Worm Site and Beach Trip (with Kayak- a Must do). We loved the peaceful atmosphere and privacy. If you have the time, stay here, bring food and enjoy time off the Grid in nature!

John was exceedingly friendly and quick to respond to us throughout the process. We were two Americans traveling by the seat of our pants, and even though this was probably the fourth Airbnb we contacted in our search of the area, we could not have chosen a better place to spend our time in the Bay of Islands. Location was fabulous both for the location and view, as well as for the simple amenities provided. Thanks so much!

Sean and Becs are outstanding hosts, and the cabin (particularly it's location) exceeded our expectations. We are walking Te Araroa and stopped here for a rest day- so had no vehicle. Sean was more than happy to take us to the shops (5km away) when they were heading that way and dropped us back to the trail when we left. They offered us veges from the garden, helpful advice and were all 'round great hosts and really nice people. The location is amazing and not mentioned much in the listing- the cabin looks out over a grapevines and a sloping lawn to the harbour. It's peaceful and relaxing, and the shower (in a small separate cabin ) is excellent. We didn't use the sauna but it is located right on the waters edge. Highly recommended!

Just one night at Kevin's and John's spectacular cabin with the best view on the Pahia bay. The cabin has been built by Kevin and John (you will find in the bedroom the cutest booklet showcasing the project development) and has everything you need for a great stay in the beautiful Bay of Islands. Everything has been built, furnished and decorated to provide a warm environment, especially for couples. Kevin and John are extremely welcoming and a few steps from the cabin if you need help. Needless to say, that the next time we will plan a trip to the area Kevin and John are at the top of our list for our accomodation preferences. Great job!!!

Out of the way but totally worth it! The view from the walkway is incredible! There isn’t much around so the stars are spectacular here. Would absolutely stay again!
