Great place and Pataua is magic. Graham's place is terrific and kept meticulously. It was peaceful and well appointed. Very functional and well supplied kitchen and great grill on the lovely deck. We were only able to stay a couple nights but this was a great spot to see Pataua from.

Sehr schöne, geräumige Unterkunft in guter Lage, nicht weit nach Russell. Strand ist zu Fuß in 5 Minuten zu erreichen. Sehr große Terrasse zum Garten hin, z.T. überdacht, also auch bei Regen nutzbar. Wir haben auf der Terrasse gegrillt und gekocht, die Küche innen hat alles, was man braucht. Sandra hat Brot, Eier und Tomaten in den Kühlschrank. Sandra und ihr Mann sind liebenswerte Menschen, schön war es. Für Austernfans: kurz vor Russell ist eine Austernfarm mit sehr guten, günstigen Austern (sogar schon geöffnet), jeden Tag frisch.

Lovely peaceful setting just a 5 minute walk from the seafront. Lots of places to visit and lovely walk. The accommodation was very comfortable and well equipped. Kathryn was very welcoming and helpful. Couldn’t have asked for more. Thank you

Pauline's place is amazingly spacious and you will have a wonderful view from your room. It was very close to many amazing beaches. It was immaculately clean. Pauline is a lovely person and she is both very friendly and also very helpful with advice on where to go, and what to see. I would happily stay with Pauline again and have no hesitation in recommending her to everyone.

Die Unterkunft ließ keine Wünsche offen (Waschmaschine, Geschirrspüler, Mikrowelle, Gasherd und Backofen). Aber am meisten hat uns die außergewöhnliche Lage und die wunderschöne Aussicht begeistert. Die Gastgeber waren sehr freundlich und entgegenkommend. Der Strand war nah und schön. Meist war er fast menschenleer. Entspannung pur 😄

It was a very nice, relaxing stay in the wonderfully designed accommodation with the beautiful garden area. The hospitable Keri made it easy for me to feel at home the whole time. The very nice pool is a must, it makes the stay even more perfect. The location is a dream. The center is easy to reach and the many trails invite you to explore the beautiful landscape. I can recommend the accommodation without reservation.

I stayed here for 3 nights in march 2025 and totally loved it. The views are great. Its very quiet and peaceful. There is so much to do here in Bay of Islands. I really appreciate the patience and helpful advice that Manon was able to give that really helped me make the most of my short stay here.

This is one of the best airbnbs I’ve stayed at. Situated on the coast of some of New Zealand’s best beaches, the property has easy walking access to a small private beach or enjoy Matapouri which is only a very short drive away. The property has every thoughtful amenity you may need which was so helpful if you want to bbq and eat at home. It’s fitted out to a super high standard with comfortable beds, linen and a great shower. It’s immaculately clean, nestled in stunning surroundings. Our host Angela continuously went above and beyond to offer the most outstanding service including fresh tomatoes from the garden and baked birthday muffins for my friend who was celebrating. If that wasn’t enough Angela offers massage therapy from her home which was reasonably priced and out of this world. A truly relaxing place, gorgeous quality and phenomenal host, I hope I can return to enjoy again!

I would highly recommend staying here the area was lovely and peaceful, within walking distance to Paihia. The accommodation was absolutely stunning and had a lovely seating area outside.

Definitely one of the best airbnbs I’ve ever stayed in. Such a beautiful spot, everything you would need, Tania was an incredible host! The hot tub snd sauna were top notch and the homemade bread and spreads were delicious. Amazing value for money

What can I say, this Airbnb was just superb. Quiet, gorgeous outlook and close to all the things I wanted to do. Ian was an excellent host and I would come back and stay if I'm in the area. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a place in the wider Kerikeri area.

Die Unterkunft von Leah und Paul hat uns vom ersten Moment an begeistert. Der Blick auf das Meer ist einfach großartig. Wir hatten auch großes Glück mit dem Wetter, deshalb konnten wir auch die großzügige Freiküche mit Blick ins Grüne und das Meer sehr genießen. Das Grundstück ist ein kleines Stück Paradies. Leah und Paul haben hier etwas ganz Wunderbares geschaffen. Gerne würden wir schon bald wiederkommen, wenn es aus Europa nicht ganz so weit wäre.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Heather and Peter’s Air bnb. It was a magical location, so peaceful, and with an amazing view. We were treated to a beautiful orange sunset that evening as we soaked in the wonderful hot tub. The apartment was modern and clean and contained everything we needed. The selection of breakfast food was beyond our expectations and everything has been so well thought out. It’s worth mentioning that the bed was very comfortable too. I would 100% recommend this Air BnB and hope we can return sometime. Thank you!

Absolutely comfortable home with an amazing ocean view! The studio was the perfect size for a solo traveller. Elmari went above and beyond to help me find dinner options in the area after I arrived later than expected. I would definitely return for a longer stay!

Ruth and Trev's place was a great place to stay in the Paihia area. Super comfy queen bed, full kitchen, lounge area, full bath and shower plus a deck area with a gas grill. Dedicated parking space. A short 5 min drive to Paihia and a 2 minute drive to Opua. If you require an ocean view then this won't work, but you'll end up paying twice as much for that view. Tip: Google maps will drop you off too soon. When it says you're there, go 100m further down the driveway to the next house.

Pataua is Whangarei heads best kept secret. Val and Max are great hosts and the accomodation and hosting was in the top 5 of all the ABnB’s we’ve stayed.

Brilliant hosts - so friendly and welcoming. Spacious place - well appointed - as described in the listing. Great breakfast served on the deck overlooking the beautiful garden and Russell. Would definitely stay there again if ever back in Russell.

Great place, great hosts. We welcomed very warmly when we arrived. All instructions were given at check in and were clear and easy. Very peaceful and secluded from the road. Lovely pool that we used whilst cooking our dinner on the provided BBQ. Highly recommend
