It was a great place to stay especially if you want peace and quiet!

We had a wonderful time at Jennifer’s home. Her parents, Ed and Kay welcomed us and made us feel right at home. They provided wine and delicious snacks for us and also gave us passes to Rumbling Bald. The place is right on the lake and absolutely beautiful. The inside is much more beautiful than in the pictures, as it is tastefully decorated and good quality linens and towels were provided. They had every thing available that we could need, expensive toiletries and plenty of floats and kayaks. I can’t say i’ve ever stayed at an air bnb that was so thoughtfully appointed before. We will definitely be back.

This was not our first stay with Linda . . . Each time the accommodations have consistently met or exceeded our expectations. Cleanliness is of utmost priority with this host. The bathroom and kitchen are always spotless; there are more than enough linens and dishes; and the bedding is perfect with extra blankets for comfort. The garage apartment is away from the house allowing ample privacy for the guests. Linda is quick to respond with any questions you may have. I hate to share this review, because I would love to keep this as our little secret space! Added bonus . . . equestrians - this is within 10 minutes of TIEC.

Cute place! This basement apartment had a nice kitchen and living room area. Lots of room! I was in town for work (working nights at TIEC and sleeping during the day). It was mostly quiet for that, but just a little pitter patter of paws a few times. Bring a noise machine if that would be an issue for you! Also a sleep mask came in handy for day sleeping. Would book again :)

“Best one yet,” to quote my husband. We LOVED calling this adorable and private accommodation of Rose’s our home away from home for the 12 days we spent in Chimney Rock. Everything that we needed and more was provided. Rose is delightful and made us feel so welcomed. The village of Chimney Rock, nestled in the Hickory Nut Gorge, is a treasure with restaurants and plenty of little shops that are walkable from this location. And the star of the show, Chimney Rock State Park, is directly behind Rose’s house, just a 3-mile jaunt up the mountain. Rose’s garden alone is a gem to behold, located right outside your door. We loved the privacy of the location, as well as the peace and quiet that was afforded to us after busy days hiking and exploring this magnificent region. We were thrilled to see a few other residents of this area from time to time, members of the black bear population. So if you are searching for an authentic experience when coming to Chimney Rock, this is the place!

Lori was quick to respond throughout the entire process. She granted us an early check in. The house is well maintained and has an extra large shower!!! She has tons of little extras (I.e. wash clothes, towels, soap, paper towels). I would definitely stay again!

Im a needlepointer. Kathryns shop 1.5 hours from my home is the closest needlepoint resource to me- being able to stitch and spread out in her lovely space and then walk downstairs to the shop for every need, camaraderie and stitching inspiration was the perfect “retreat”! Her place is spacious and clean and exactly as advertised. Im of a certain age when sleep can be elusive- I stayed mid week and the weekday evening traffic noise was higher than anticipated as were the street lights (commuter traffic I imagine, may not be an issue on weekends)… but the twin bedroom (furthest from the street) was dark enough for me and my iPhone white noise app ensured a good night sleep… but again.. thats likely an age related issue. Kathryn was a wonderful host, responsive, helpful and interested in my having a good experience. 😊

We had a great stay here! The amenities were wonderful! Our kids loved the pool and the beach at the lake. Lots to do in this area! Jamie was super sweet and very responsive and helpful! She also makes great recommendations! We would definitely stay again!

We felt very lucky to find this place in a pinch. Our other air bnb that we booked a month+ ago had frozen water pipes. Tamera responded very quickly to our panicked, last minute booking. The place is immaculate. We had everything we needed. We were grateful for our stay here.

We had a nice stay at Mary's house. Erin was a great contact and very helpful. Loved the little extra snacks they had. Very welcoming for the guests. Comfortable space close to town and they were always very responsive.

We enjoyed our stay while showing at TIEC. It's a great location, very close by off Moore Rd. Accommodations were very comfortable & it was absolutely spotless. I traveled with kids - we used the twin pull out which worked well for my 7 year old, the other bed is a queen. Host left the sweetest welcome package, including carrots for their donkeys, Eral and Jack. My kids loved visiting them in the morning & night. We would stay again!

The resort and staff were great- lots to do, beautiful and staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The unit, which is privately owned and managed by the resort, was warm and comfortable, especially the bed. I loved the electric fireplace and quiet location. It does however need a few upgrades. The electric stove and oven are very old and don’t work well and it took an extremely long time to cook anything. A super friendly maintenance person responded to my request but he couldn’t fix it as it needs to be replaced. The main heating unit was full of dust so I cleaned the filters upon arrival. Both concerns were being passed along to the condo’s owner. Still a nice stay and I would definitely return to Rumbling Bald!

We’ve been to Rumbling Bald multiple times and this has been my favorite residence of all! It’s easily accessible, has tons of space, and is well equipped. But the host and her proactiveness and accessibility are what make outstanding. We absolutely loved our time there and hope to make it back again sometime!

Great place! Clean, clear instructions, kind employees. The Wi-Fi works great but be mindful of limited service! Download the map area on your phone or have screenshots ready. Definitely check out the amenities Rumbling Bald offers! The hot tub and indoor pool were very nice for a chilly weekend.

My 17 year old daughter had a great long weekend in the Lake Lure area! We loved the beach area at Rumbling Bald that we have access to with this rental. We also did Chimney Rock state park and ate at very cute restaurants in the town.

We had a great stay! It was so peaceful and quiet with an amazing view. We enjoyed the hot tub over looking the mountains. I would absolutely recommend this stay. We might be back as local shopping was great as well!
