A lovely place to stay. Loads of pubs and eating places. Parking is a bit of a nightmare though. There is a car park close by but it is £8 per day and it adds a lot to the cost of your holiday if you are staying a few days. It wouldn’t put me off going again though. Hosts were very informative and helpful. House lovely and clean. Lovely shops to look round. All in all a fantastic time had

Puddle Cottage - what a beautiful, cosy place to stay, within walking distance to Rutland Water. On arrival communication from Anna was excellent, and we were able to check in early, and there was a lovely welcome gift of Wine, cakes and milk too. The cottage is just great, Anna has made it feel like it is your own home, with so many home comforts, comfy furniture and bed, decent TV, a fully stocked kitchen, with lots of pots, pans, utensils and crockery, no skimping at all. Everything stands out a good quality - which is so nice when you are away from home. We stayed with our black Labrador and he was also happy, with a secure garden for him (and some doggy treats from Anna). We did lots of walks around the lovely friendly village, and around Rutland Water, and also had a fab dinner one evening at The Fox, North Luffenham. We would come back again and would thoroughly recommend Puddle Cottage.

A beautiful house to stay in in many ways, fabulous walks and gardens , very clean and warm and well stocked with pans and equipment (but no scissors) as well as some good games. Disappointing that there were no coffee pods when we arrived, although some were delivered the next day, I believe we should have plenty of them provided, Another disappointment was we hired the hot tub but no extra towels were provided so we had to use the same towel , hard to dry unless we had the heating on at all times There was also no towel provided for the downstairs toilet and definitely not enough toilet paper ! Overall a fine place that could do with some tuning. I definitely go again

Becci was very responsive on the airBNB app, answered all my questions an queries and went above and beyond when I left some clothes behind at the property! The house was very nice (especially the kitchen/dining room), peacefully located and was exactly as described in the airBNB advert. It's an easy 10-15 minute walk into beautifull Stamford, or 5-10 minutes to the local shop and off license, chippy and chinese. I would definitely rent again and recommend this to others! Thank you so much for a magical stay at Lazy Nest we wanted for nothing the house was perfect and had all the amenities it was beautifully decorated for the Christmas period it was the perfect stay for our family hopefully will be returning soon.

Jennifer’s cottage is a home away from home, really thoughtfully provisioned and very easy with children in tow. It’s in a lovely quiet spot and Jennifer was a wonderful host.

We had a lovely time, even in winter when the rain was pouring! It's cosy and clean, close to Rutland water if you want to visit. I'm originally from Rutland and we were visiting family, it's a short journey to Oakham, Uppingham, Rutland water, close to amenities. It was great to have the dog with us and our 5-year-old. We will be booking again!

Wonderful place. Such a peaceful place to stay. Super clean and comfy and very well equipped. Jane is a super friendly host and made us feel very comfortable. Her dog Pimms is a delight too and really brightened up the stay for the kids. Jane was trusting enough to take the dog for a long walk which was one of the highlights of our trip. The entertainment area is such a lovely place to relax. We made plenty of use of the pool which was very well equipped to keep the kids entertained (noodles, floats, play toys). We even enjoyed one movie night in that area one the huge comfy sofas. The surrounding village is wonderful too and nice to potter around. Will defo be going back very soon.

We had a great stay - the house is peaceful, quiet, clean, and especially cosy with the woodburner on! Richard and Jo were excellent hosts, very friendly and accommodating, and offered great advice on places to visit nearby with our two small children. We all slept amazingly well (very unusual with a 1 and 3 year old); the beds were comfy and it was so quiet. The house is well set up for visiting with toddlers - there are toys, books, stair gates etc. and the large garden is great to let them run around in. We would absolutely return, especially in the summer to really make use of the beautiful garden.

What a beautiful and special place! So many lovely little touches and such an interesting building! The surroundings are so pretty, much wildlife and it felt like it had its own Mediterranean micro climate! Sharon & Lulu were great hosts, so helpful and responsive. Really flexible on check in and check out times and provided local recommendations. This included Fords Kitchen, we were lucky enough to have Tom provide dinner one evening. The food was delicious and beautiful, also a complete stress free treat because he knows the venue and hosts! Having a yoga studio on site was a gorgeous addition. Lulu guided us through the most magical private yoga, breath work & sound bath. I very much hope to return! ❤️🥰

I stayed in Ashley and Lydia's apartment with my mum and dad last year and was so enamoured with the place that I knew I’d return. This time, I came with different family members, and once again, it did not disappoint. Both Ashley and Lydia went above and beyond to ensure we had another fantastic weekend. We will definitely be back

The place was lovely and clean. The area was very peaceful and beautiful surroundings. The outdoor bath was very relaxing in the evening. Had a lovely stay.

This is the perfect place to stay and explore the peninsula, which is a beautiful area. There are so many outdoor activities to get involved in and experience. Tom’s cabin is the perfect place to relax, admire the view and plan your next adventure. Our children loved the experience and being off grid meant we played loads of cards games together. The dog also had a great time. The cabin is cosy and comfortable and even though it is small the four of us lived happily together. We will definitely return to this beautiful, peaceful spot. Thank you Tom for making us feel so welcome.

The Barn was located in such a beautiful village and was a perfect base for exploring the area. The local pub was a bonus, locals were very friendly and Frances was a very nice host, always happy to help with anything we needed. Would definitely recommend and come back.

Great property. Unusual upside down design and it worked very well. Highly recommended.
