We had a wonderful weekend with my kids and grand kids. Extremely comfortable, plenty of room for everyone. Labor Day weekend is the perfect time of year. The house was beautiful. My 6 year old grand daughter cried to come home, she just wanted to live there.

I cannot say enough great things about "Shore Thing" and it's host Amy! From start to finish, Amy was an amazingly responsive and gracious host! She made sure we had everything we needed to make our vacation an incredible experience. Coming from someone who is in the "people business", I can always tell when someone takes pride in what they do. Amy is DEFINITELY one of those people! Everything in this place was clean, in order, and well-maintained. From the modern updated bathroom and kitchen appliances to the multitude of other amenities, "Shore Thing" is the best place we've ever stayed on Toledo Bend Lake! I HIGHLY recommend this property and especially it's host. Thank you again Amy and "Shore Thing" for making our vacation spectacular!

Kelly’s place was very comfortable for my large family, we stayed for Thanksgiving and forgot a-lot of small things that Kelly had available in her home already like powdered sugar, food coloring, baking pans, can opener, trash bags and cleaning supplies which saved us quite a few times. We had a medical emergency and Kelly was super easy to reach, offering any help she could and was very accommodating to us. We would definitely recommend her space to anyone and can’t wait to return !

Great area and very responsive host

Everything was great! Place was amazing had everything we needed for a relaxing trip on the lake! Right next to a boat launch only sad this we couldn’t cast off of it 😢 but nothing to ruin the trip over! We had a great time by the camp fire and cooking lots of food!

We were guests in mid-March. Six senior brothers and sisters, their spouses, and two small dogs. The weather was perfect! Spacious, both outdoors and indoors; a gorgeous view of the lake; comfortable beds, large dining table; and loads of fun! Grocery store nearby, just a short drive away. Everything the description said it would be. Highly, highly recommended! You’ll love it!!

Lovely stay! Our family of eight adults spent four days at this property during New Year's 2025. We always gather to wrap up the holidays and spend quality time together before kicking off a busy new year. This was our second stay with Mr. Chester. His property has met and exceeded our needs each time. And, he is hospitable and easy to work with as a host. This house is up-to-date and has all the amenities of home. This property provides use of televisions, wi-fi, a kitchen with dishwasher and cooking utensils, and outside cooking gear including a grill and fryer, as well as a washer and dryer. We really couldn't have asked for more. The location is perfect for our needs. It is a beautiful house on a quiet cul-de-sac with access to Toledo Bend right on the property. I couldn't imagine anything more appealing to an avid fisherperson. Great accommodations with a nice atmosphere!! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
