The Nest is a perfect, seaside retreat situated within easy reach of excellent restaurants (the best Pizza place on the Island is beneath the apartment and you can get a discount!), all transport options (buses and cabs and plenty of beautiful walks), and there is a small Morrisons on the corner of the street if you want to cook yourself. Couldn't be better. Dave is a friendly host with a keen interest in making your stay as easy and comfortable as possible. He was very responsive to any small enquiry and basically couldn't do enough even though I was there over the Christmas period. When I arrived some lights were on and so was the heating, which was much appreciated as my journey from the midlands had been tortuous! The Nest is also a very interesting place, part of its owners ambition to start a restaurant and accommodation project on the Island where he grew up - the renovation of both the apartment and the pizzeria beneath is impressive.

The studio was exactly as described and in a fantastic location. Furnishings are stylish and comfortable and the bed extremely comfortable. Jane left comprehensive instructions/information and the parking card thingy was very much appreciated. Local restaurants are within a short walking distance. We sampled 4 and the food in all was delicious. As first time visitors to Jersey, we found Gorey to be a delightful place and would stay in Jane's studio again. Jane responded to our queries promptly and was very helpful.

This apartment has the wow factor. It was luxurious, well appointed and warm. The sea views were amazing and it was great to be able to access the wonderful beach from the balcony and listen to the waves in bed. My husband had told Susan we were celebrating an anniversary and she left wine and chocolates for us, which was a lovely touch. It was easy to walk into the centre, or you could catch a bus from the stop nearby. We highly recommend this beautiful property.

Great seaside accommodation! The sunrise and sunset are beautiful and it is very convenient to get around.

Nous avons passé un super séjour dans ce très bel appartement décoré avec de nombreux bibelots. L’appart est très bien placé à Portbail et Philippe est un hôte très réactif. J’y reviendrai sans hésiter, la région doit être encore plus belle sous le soleil, je recommande vivement!

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans le logement d'Ashley. Ce logement est spacieux, très confortable et agréable. Ashley et son compagnon ont été d'une grande aide à notre arrivée un peu tardive. Le logement est situé au plus proche du centre ville de Saint Helier. Je le recommande sans hésitation.

The apartment was lovely with a great view. Grace was very responsive and helpful.

The apartment was clean and spacious. The two bedrooms were very comfy and offered plenty of storage in the wardrobes. Craig was very responsive to any queries. He informed me the apartment is above a local pub which hosts social events and live music. We were happy to join the locals and enjoy the music. If you don't like noise, music and a loud atmosphere, I suggest you book elsewhere. The windows are not double-glazed; you will be able to hear people talking as they are waiting for a taxi or traffic driving past. There is no lift, so it won't be suitable for mobility-impaired individuals or small children and prams. Overall, the apartment is in a prime place, a short distance from the harbour, beautiful beaches, restaurants and local historic sites. We have enjoyed ourselves and were happy with the facilities.

We had a brilliant stay, when we asked questions they were answered and sorted with brilliantly and quickly. We 100% recommended to anyone going to jersey.

Julie est une hôte réactive et bienveillante. Séjour au calme dans une grande maison lumineuse en campagne. La maison était très propre et très spacieuse. Équipement bébé et jeux enfants qui étaient un atout supplémentaire pour notre famille. Merci Julie!

Excellent séjour, la communication avec Daniel est fluide. Le logement est impeccable, la literie confortable, le tout dans un environnement calme. Je recommande.

Une cosy maison pour un we entre amis. Maison charmante dans un environnement charmant. Tout pleins d’informations envoyées par Marc et son épouse. Bref, un très bon moment passé chez eux. Juste un petit bémol sur la literie de qualité moyenne. Je recommande malgré tout cette adresse 🙂

Wir haben hier einen sehr schönen Urlaub verbracht und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Haus ist zweckmäßig aber gleichzeitig auch geschmackvoll und modern eingerichtet. Alles war sauber als wir ankamen und die Betten frisch bezogen. Unserem Hund hat der eingezäunte Garten besonders gut gefallen. Der Kontakt mit der Gastgeberin war sehr freundlich und wir haben immer sehr schnell eine Antwort bekommen.

Beautifully presented property, well equipped to accomodate family and small children . We chose Jo's house because it was close to the beach, St Helier, and local attractions. We have just finished our second visit. Thank you JO and MARK.

This place is just beautiful; we felt so lucky to be staying with the beach on our doorstep and with the wonderful views through the windows. One of the best equipped holiday rentals I've ever seen ( loads of beach stuff and an amazing kitchen). Thanks so much!

Logement agréable et très bien situé à deux pas de la plage. L'hiver, il faut une voiture pour accéder aux commerces. Arrivée flexible et bonne communication avec Sophie.

Très bonne semaine chez Michèle à Barneville. L'emplacement, le logement , la literie, la cuisine , rien à dire tout est parfait comme à la maison. On reviendra sans hésitation chez Michèle .

Joe and Jane were astonishingly attentive and friendly ….and their dog Guinness was a delight. Beach was awesome (rock pools with plenty of crabs) and lovely sandy beach, with the use of the kayaks and paddle boards enhancing the experience. View from master bedroom and lounge - astonishing …

What a find! Booked last minute, due to a change in circumstances - feel so lucky to have found this gem! Everything was perfect. V comfy bed. A perfect base to explore from. Red squirrels Cockerells, and beautiful grounds. Rebeka was warm and welcoming despite being busy with arranging a celebration. I hope we can come back before too long, to Jersey, and to L'Ecluse.

Un temps plus que maussade ne nous a malheureusement pas permis de profiter du magnifique jardin privé quasiment sur la plage. Le logement quant à lui est très fonctionnel, très bien équipé et idéal pour 2 couples avec ou sans enfant du fait de sa configuration sur 2 niveaux. Tout était par ailleurs très propre: literies très confortable, salles de bains et cuisine impeccables avec tout ce qu'il faut pour cuisiner presque comme à la maison. A tout cela s'ajoute un calme absolu jour et nuit, ce qui est particulièrement appréciable pour des vacances reposantes. Cerise sur le gâteau: la gentillesse et la confiance de Michèle qui fait tout pour qu'on se sente à l'aise chez elle. Sans oublier les petites gourmandises à l'arrivée. Vivement un prochain séjour avec le soleil et les grandes ballades sur la plage!
