Amanda’s place is a little gem. It’s conveniently located a short drive from downtown Salida, but in a quiet peaceful location that feels much farther away (and close to trails). The home itself is better than advertised. It’s tastefully and thoughtfully furnished and decorated in a way that makes it feel like a home. The kitchen is well stocked with all the basics and then some, including a generous supply of pantry staples (and a nice coffee setup!). The whole place was spotless when we arrived. There are outdoor sitting areas in the front and rear of the home, which we took advantage of since the weather was so pleasant for it being March. The owners live on property (in a separate building) and are super nice people who go out of their way to make you feel at home. The home is perfect for couples and small families. We would stay there again without question.

Hanni was so responsive and helpful . because there wasn't a booking the night prior to our check-in, our group was avle to check-in early, which was much appreciated. Will certainly check out the Sundog House's availability next time we're in BV.

Kristi's place was perfect for our families needs. It is stylishly furnished, clean and easy to access. Kristi was an attentive host and the location of the home was within walking distance to restaurants and shops. I even walked to an amazing massage with a lady named Diana while the guys did some fabulous skiing. Highly recommend!

Milly was an excellent host! She was really helpful and informative. We loved her place so much, it was perfect for our group of 8! We were able to enjoy the spacious backyard, the fun family games she supplied and had fun cooking in her roomy kitchen. The house layout was great, no one ever felt like we were on top of each other. Great location with easy access to town, hot springs and the Arkansas River. We will definitely be back and recommend to friends! Thanks again Milly :).

Rob's home is a perfect home base for a stay in Buena Vista! It is walkable to downtown and close to lots of trails and activities. The large backyard is ideal for dogs!

We had a great stay at iron city. The cabin was very comfortable and dog friendly. We had privacy and were able to feel right at home. The scenery was beautiful I would definitely recommend to others

We loved it here, we love coming up to Buena Vista but hadn’t visited in awhile due to having a baby recently and this was the perfect spot. It was quiet and peaceful, and was just a block and a half away from downtown so we were able to take a nice walk. We absolutely loved the wood stove it heats the house VERY well so while the space heaters are available you shouldn’t really need them until you go to bed. The hosts also provided a nice bag of local coffee that was really good!

I had to book this place very last minute due to a different airbnb not working out, and it was so great! Very nice space and easy check in.

We felt right at home at the cozy cabin! We loved the amount of space for our family, fabulous deck and balcony, and comfy beds. The location was perfect for skiing at Ski Cooper and going to BV!

This place was very quiet and peaceful, just what we were looking for. It was just a short drive to town for restaurants and shopping. This place is small but it has everything you need and nothing you don’t. We could occasionally hear the neighbor (it is a duplex) but certainly not intrusive. All in all a great place to stay and we would choose this again when we return to Buena Vista. And yes, we saw the elk herd!

It was a perfect place for our family to settle in before and after a day at Monarch. We will be coming back.

My family and I had a great time staying at Clarissa's place! It's located just a short drive outside the town of Salida, and is both peaceful and private. The kitchen had everything we needed, the beds were comfortable, there were tons of games for the kids, and the cabin was very clean. We spent our weekend going on hikes, fishing the Arkansas river, and enjoying what nature had to offer. 5 out of 5 stars for sure. We'll be back! PS: She has an excellent vinyl collection that I strongly recommend checking out.

Wow, that's all I can say. Truly a homestead with animals, stream front property and amazing sunsets. Chuck was great - a true renaissance man. Ask him about the dog sled patrols in Denali!
