Excellent host…property was roomy recently done over with many nice touches. Very comfortable beds and amenities for our group of six. Kitchen and bathroom very well well supplied. Would not hesitate to recommend this accommodation.

This home was amazing! From the linens to the indigenous art... just beautiful. The view was fantastic and there is plenty of furniture outside to enjoy the scene. The home was spacious and spotless. Fluffy towels, cozy bedding and a kitchen stocked with every gadget you'd need. We were able to purchase kitchen basics near by, and enjoyed our trips to Duncan for lunch a few days. Check out the fresh fish market in Duncan and the Saturday only Farmers Market. PS: "Brunch on 3rd" is worth the wait.

The spectacular elevated views from every front room including the sunroom, outdoor decks and the front patio were the highlight! Witnessed the sunrise every morning behind the Gulf Islands and Vancouver mountains and even caught the harbour seals floating by down below. Lots of ferry, freighter, log boom movement to keep us entertained. The carport parking for 2 cars was convenient for guests and the EV charger came in handy. Although we didn't communicate with the host by name, EMR Vacation Rentals was very responsive and helpful. Loved the full Shaw cable channel lineup on the big TV so we could watch the live Masters golf. Some confusion on which Unit was ours on arrival but I'm new to AirBnb. There was activity in the smaller second unit below us but there was no interaction and they were very quiet. To take advantage of the full patio furniture, outdoor fireplace etc. come in May onward. We will be booking again with EMR and this property when back on the island.

We enjoyed our stay, which was relaxing, comfortable and felt like home. The bed and couch are both comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked. What a treat to have croissants in the freezer! We were pleased that we could bring our dog with us. The Airbnb is close to Shawnigan Lake, a couple of blocks away. We hope to return.

We have stayed at Airbnb’s globally and Helen’s is second to none! Her place was as described and then some. So many little extras to make our stay very comfortable and like being at home. Helen went above and beyond to make our stay with her a memorable one! We wish we could have stayed longer and will stay with her again when we are in the area! If you want an immaculate place to stay with all the comforts of home look no further! 5 Star at its finest !

Phoenix and Camille were wonderful hosts and easy to get a hold of if you have any questions. The house is welcoming and you can begin to relax as soon as you arrive. The place is very well laid out and has everything you need for a short or long stay. The backyard was lovely and the hot tub was great to return to after a day of beach combing and trails. They definitely had fun in mind for guests when they provided a karaoke speaker and games. I know my kids really enjoyed them. The house is centrally located, about 10-15mins away from almost every hot spot on the island and 2 mins away from the grocery store. Don't miss out on the local Saturday market and check in advance for business hours, some places are only open on weekends. So plan ahead and you'll have a fantastic time visiting the local businesses. Overall if you're looking to connect with nature and enjoy the slow pace of island life this is a perfect place to stay. We'll definitely be back again.

Paradise! We stayed for two nights at this Country cabin. The hospitality Gillian and Charles showed us was absolutely incredible. Every single detail was thought of from the hand-written birthday card, the canister of coffee, thoughtfully placed fresh jam, butter, bread, croissants, farm fresh eggs, crisp linens, just WOW. We spent our second morning drinking coffee in the beautiful and private backyard outdoor space. Gillian’s attentive, kind & caring responsiveness is unrivalled and although we didn’t meet face to face, her warms shined through. We’ve started lovingly referring to her as “Grandma G”. We felt calm, cared for and grateful to have spent two nights at Willow Tree Farm! Thank you, Gillian & Charles, we can’t wait to be back!

Zoe was very prompt and responsive in her response. The house was very nice and exactly as described in the photos. I was also very pleased with the cleanliness, the kitchen had plenty of utensils, the bathroom was very clean and had enough supplies. There was plenty space to relax and rest with a view. which we all enjoyed very much.

Fantastic location, quick walk down the hill, and right on the waterfront and restaurants. Nice suite, with all amenities, clean, good parking and some waterfront view. We would have liked to stay longer!

We had a wonderful stay. it was quite, peaceful and very comfortable. I would highly recommend this place. it exceded our expectations.

Nice location on lake. Large deck on the back of house with lake views. Large dock with easy water access. Quiet location at end of the road so no road noise. Sean is friendly and will greet you at arrival, gives interesting history about the house and is responsive.

The River House was the perfect home base for our family’s BC getaway. There was more than enough space for the four of us and our small dog, including an extra bedroom for the kids to have a sleepover when they wanted to. The appliances seem new and high-end, and the kitchen is well-stocked. We really appreciated the ability to charge our EV while we were there. We did not get to use many of the outdoor amenities due to rain, but we will definitely do so if we return during better weather. We would highly recommend this Airbnb for a family of 4-6 people!
