Very good option, when you are looking for something to short stay. But the room for 4 was very very small, the is absolutely no space for your bags and stuff. Anyway - for few nights is it Ok, it is clean and have a nice bathroom. Staff is very helpful and kind and give you advice about anything you need. Thank you for everything.

ABSOLUTELY PERFECT! I stumbled across this while sitting at Baldi looking for something nearby for a last minute stay. We were all so glad we found this gem! We've been vacationing in Costa Rica for 15 years and this has to be the best place we've stayed at. The surroundings of the property make you feel like you've arrived in paradise with a breathtaking unobstructed view of the volcano, and inside the rental they have thought of every possible detail to make each moment of your stay comfortable and perfect. There were so many little surprise details and touches that made this feel like a 5 star resort. We were thrilled with what you get for the price. The host was very friendly and welcomed us to explore their neighboring farm. Highly recommend!

This 3 bedroom house within the grounds of the El Silencio de Campo resort was so perfect for our family! We wanted a comfortable home base with a kitchen to be able to prepare some of our own meals, but also wanted amenities like a pool, bar, restaurant and this house far exceeded our expectations and also has hot springs, free breakfast, and a little farm!! So perfect! It’s just outside the busy area of La Fortuna with easy access to the volcano up the road and shops and restaurants. Luis and the rest of the staff were so friendly and helpful and set up a wonderful horseback riding excursion for us and made great suggestions on hikes and activities. We would love to come back!!

A mi familia y a mi nos encanta este lugar. Alejado de todo, ideal para desconectarse. Se puede usar la cocina del restaurante. El personal es muy amable. Tomar en cuenta la temporada de mosquitos que es cuando las aguas del río bajan y queda agua estancada en la cercanía de la casa, les recomiendo llevar buen repelente. A pesar de esto disfrutamos mucho nuestra estancia.

The bumpy roads and distance are absolutely worth the time and effort to get here! Walking into the home and yard is like walking into the garden of Eden. We loved every minute, even with all the rain! The people in this area are amazing, and truly treat you like a friend. Pura Vida at its best!

Jim and Carol's place is a bit off the beaten path about 30 mins outside of La Fortuna. They are wonderful, kind and attentive hosts. The breakfast each morning was delicious and Jim delighted us with stories and magic tricks. Would reccomend for travelers who want something outside of the town and who wants to be more in nature/secluded.

The bed and breakfast was so nice to walk to in the mornings!

This place is phenomenal! Super quiet, away from the tourist areas. Makes for a great home base. It’s not in walking distance to Santa Ana, but we preferred that as it was much quieter and peaceful. Would have loved to stay longer. Thanks for a great stay!

Anthony's place is in a good location just outside the center of Monterverde, well-positioned for trips there and for driving to La Fortuna when you're done in Monterverde. He is friendly and responsive. The breakfast is good; he is friendly and responsive. For the price, it's a good value.

Kris and Marie are such lovely hosts that they have to be mentioned first! These guys are authentic, helpful, open minded and friendly so that we enjoyed every chat with them. They built the house with their own hands and you'll see it in every single detail. It is so cozy and the environment and the view from the kitchen and the terasse is stunning! It's absolutely with it to spend more time at this place then just sleeping at night and having breakfast. By the way the breakfast is sooo delicious and Kris and Marie were always flexible regarding earlier times or special dishes for our baby 😊 We also loved their sustainable and modern approach for everything they do. El lugar es lindo. El desayuno estuvo rico.

Right in the centre of Santa Elena with shops, tour offices, restaurants and everything you might need in walking distance. Amazing value, wonderful staff and a beautiful town. Would stay there again. El Tigre Waterfalls was absolutely top of the list. Rope bridges, waterfalls, rivers running across the path - it feels like you're really in the rainforest. And ask Ronny about the sunset spot - the view is one-of-a-kind out over the Nicoya peninsula.

One of the best places we stayed! Was way better than expected. The room is excellent quality and very clean, all well maintained. The restaurant has delicious food and the surroundings are just amazing. They prepared a baby bed for our 2 year old. Highly recommend.

This location worked out perfect for my one week vacation with my 19 yo nephew. Most of the tours were able to pick us up at the hotel, a couple had to meet five minutes from our hotel (walking). Breakfast was great and staff was always friendly and accommodating. As the description says, the location is 10 to 15 minute walk from downtown and probably about the same for the more modern restaurants or bars. But within five minute walk, you can find food or the local market. Every night we were able to come back to a nice clean room and a quiet hotel with lush grounds.

We loved our stay at Casa Rayo de Luna! The room and bathroom were spacious, clean, and comfortable. In a quiet, beautiful location just 3 minutes from town centre by car. Jose Pablo and his family were such kind people and they make a delicious breakfast! Highly recommended.

Marlenny and Freddie are great hosts. My daughters and I had a great time. Some might find the rooms a little small, but we weren't in Santa Elena/MonteVerde to hang out in a room (and they were priced appropriately). Marlenny communicated really well and helped book out activities in the cloud forest and their family coffee farm (if you like coffee you really should do their tour). Staff was friendly and breakfasts excellent.
