An incredible cabin nestled in the heart of the jungle. This two-story retreat has everything you need: a fully equipped kitchen, a Jacuzzi, two toilets, and a wonderful shower. The Wi-Fi was fast and worked seamlessly throughout the area, even when walking from the cabin to the pool (about 50 meters). The place is spotless and beautifully maintained—you can truly feel the care and attention to detail in every aspect of the property. The bed was a bit too soft for my taste, as I prefer a firmer mattress, but that’s just a personal preference. A car is essential for staying here, as getting around without one would be difficult. The nearest supermarket is a five-minute drive and had everything we needed. La Fortuna, the closest city, is about 30 minutes away and offers plenty of dining options. Communication with the host was smooth and efficient, with quick responses to all our questions. Overall, a perfect five out of five—I would absolutely stay here again!

We absolutely loved our stay here. Beautiful place surrounded by nature. We loved the garden, hot tub and bbq area. Amilcar and his wife were so friendly and helpful a during our stay. It’s a perfect place for a couple or a four person trip. The internet was excellent, we worked online all week with no issues. Thank you to Amilcar for your hospitality! We will be back :)

Tati and John were amazing hosts and the chalet was beautiful! Everything was very clean and exactly as described. Hosts were very responsive and gave great local recommendations. We didn’t have a car so it was just a quick 15 minute walk into the city of La Fortuna, or a 3 min Uber ride. You can also walk about 30 mins down to La Fortuna waterfall. Just as a note, if you don’t have your own car, it’s about a 5 min walk from the main road to the chalet, but it’s a paved/gravel road the whole walk to not a problem at all, just bring your phone flashlights! Si le paradis existe, ce serait probablement ce logement Tout était absolument parfait. Hôte très réactif. Bons équipements dans le logement, et petites attentions très agréables. Accessible de la ville dans Santa Elena en moins de 10min en voiture avec tous les commerces nécessaires. Le clou du spectacle réside évidemment dans la vue du logement. C'est tout simplement époustouflant. Nous aurons plaisir à revenir, plus longtemps cette fois-ci, lors de notre prochain voyage au Costa Rica.

Joselyn a été un hôte très réactif. La maison est comme sur les photos. Il y avait à disposition du sopalin et du café et cela est très appréciable. La piscine est très agréable mais l’eau du jacuzzi est froide. Merci pour tout !

My husband and I stayed here for a few nights during our trip to La Fortuna. The space is private, relaxing, and peaceful. It is about a 5 minute walk to the main square, where you can find restaurants and shops. We enjoyed the hot tub at the end of each day, but it does take a little while to heat up. An added surprise was that the location was close enough that some of our tour guides were able to pick us up close to the property! Would recommend this place!

I could not say enough good things about Silvio's beautiful, beautiful home. Nestled away far from the bustle of Monteverde and the never-ending tourist attractions Costa Rica offers, Silvio's home is a quiet, peaceful respite. The long, bumpy driveway is a scenic experience in itself, and we spotted almost as much wildlife from our driveway or in the trees around the home as we did on some nature hikes! Photos of both the home and the incredible view honestly don't do this place justice. As other reviewers have mentioned, a 4x4 is definitely necessary to access this place, but well worth it. Amenities were perfect- hot water, reliable WiFi, extra blankets, and the banana bread at check in was also a lovely touch. We regrettably didn't have time to hike the trails surrounding the property, but we did get multiple check ins from the incredibly friendly horses. I could not recommend this property more. Thank you for a lovely stay!!

Close to all amenities, great view of the volcano. Hard to find a place with a king size bed so that was a bonus. Cute little place.

La cabaña es muy bonita con vistas excelentes y da una sensación muy agradable de contacto con la naturaleza. Está muy cerca de un río y con una catarata espectacular a la cual se llega por un sendero que se tiene acceso desde la cabaña. En general es un hospedaje muy bueno le doy un 10 de 10.

A peaceful and private location surrounded by nature, just a short drive from the city center and nearby hot springs. We especially enjoyed having our coffee and fruit on the porch. The decoration is truly unique, and staying with family made it even more special, as each of us found a space that resonated with us. The apartment is well-equipped, full of charm, and has a warm, home-like feel.

Silvia was super welcoming and the place was even better than we had expected. She had so many recommendations and we felt right at home. It can be a bit distant from La Fortuna, but is also private with trails out back (we saw a little papaya farm and some cows). Do not hesitate. This is the place to stay! Pura vida <3

The place was peaceful, had lots of great walking trails with great birds, frogs and cool bugs. The kitchen was stocked with everything you need to cook at home. The garden and pool area was very clean. The pool is beautiful. Highly recommend!

Ottima soluzione per dormire non lontano dall'area de La Fortuna in un contesto naturale e tranquillo, che ha tutto quello che serve. Joselin, Cecilia e la sua famiglia sono molto ospitali. Il punto forte dell'alloggio è la posizione: situato in una zona naturale dove poter osservare e ascoltare tantissimi animali. Assolutamente consigliato.

Most peaceful place I’ve been. Stars at night like I’ve never seen before!! Few mins from downtown. This place is perfect can’t wait to come back!

EL SOL is extraordinarily beautiful! It's hard to describe how special it is- the gorgeous natural surroundings, the wonderful food, the unique and refreshing pool and the beautiful mountains surrounding the area. I could have stayed a long time and regret that our stay was so short. Thank you Susanne and Javier for such a wonderful time and the attention and love you have put into EL SOL! We will be back!

This rainforest cabin was everything It claimed and more! The cabin is simple and completely comfortable making you feel right at home. I loved the outdoor shower, such a great idea! The property itself is gorgeous and lush. I only wish we had more time to spend. I had my coffee outside on the back patio and it was so peaceful. Everything was clean and comfortable. I hope to be back again!

Our stay at Henry and Diego’s Airbnb was absolutely amazing! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with such kindness and hospitality. Diego was incredibly responsive and always ready to help, and his dad, Henry, was just as kind and attentive. Their assistant worker went above and beyond, helping us with our luggage and anything else we needed. The place itself was peaceful and relaxing—exactly what we were looking for. Waking up to the sounds of birds and spotting local wildlife like mapaches made the experience even more special. It truly felt like a hidden gem in nature. Overall, the service was outstanding, and the atmosphere was perfect. This was definitely one for the books, and we can’t wait to come back! Highly recommend this stay to anyone looking for a serene and welcoming getaway.

This cabana was super beautiful! Looks exactly like the photos, nice view out the large windows. The place was set up very nicely when we came in with a little snack and drink and flower petals. Gerard was very responsive and made sure we were well taken care of during our stay.

Nous avons clôturé notre séjour au Costa Rica dans ce merveilleux logement, quel bonheur ! La petite maison est parfaite, avec sa petite terrasse ombragée, et son jardin menant à une petite rivière, nous avons vraiment pris plaisir à découvrir cet endroit ! Il est même possible de se faire livrer des repas. Nous avons sélectionné des petits déjeuners, tout est très généreux et très bon ! Merci à Cristopher pour son accueil et sa réactivité ☺️
