I cannot possibly describe how incredibly beautiful and lovely my stay was. If you are looking to get away from the hustle and bustle for a while nothing else can compare. Beautiful and peaceful surroundings. Most importantly Wilfredy and his family are phenomenal, kind and loving people. Wilfredy’s father William showed me around town, made me delicious meals, coffee every morning. He is a kind and thoughtful person who wants to make your stay magical. I not only found a lovely place to stay but a life long friend. Wilfredy’s sister Kimberly and her wonderful family were lovely as well and we had an incredible time on the coffee tour. If you are looking to get a local experience, this place is unmatched. Two things to note, I would recommend a 4 wheel drive vehicle as the roads to and from can be difficult to traverse at times. Make sure you are a comfortable driver. Lastly, you will encounter wildlife and insects there. It is unavoidable, keep that in mind. Will be back. Pura Vida!

200% recommend the place and the host. The best spot in La Fortuna if you aren’t looking for high end and frills. Ask for a cabin at the rear to enjoy abundant bird life, peace & quiet plus volcano views.

Teresita and Eli went above and beyond. We were a group of 14 and rented out all their cabanas. As you can imagine we had lots of questions. They took the time to recommend activities and even booked on our behalf. Also, all of their food recommendations were great. The cabanas were beautiful and had everything we needed.

Would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in the La Fortuna area. Really great location tucked away from the crowds in a beautiful garden with lovely pool and jacuzzi with volcano views (when the cloud clears!). Jason was always quick to respond to my multiple (!) questions and very accommodating to my requests.

It's a wonderful place that I recommend 100%! The only downside was that the wifi didn't work very well. Otherwise perfect.

We had a wonderful time here! The cabin is beautiful and like a cottage from a fairytale. The location is very close to La Fortuna and central to the available activities in the area. David was very responsive and booked a last minute coffee and chocolate tour for us which was one of the highlights of our trip. Note the appliances are apartment-sized, and there is no washer/dryer or AC. However, it cooled off at night so fans were adequate and they do offer laundry service if you are going to have a longer stay. The grounds are beautiful and it was lovely having a shallow kid’s pool for the little ones to play in as well as a larger one for adults to cool off. I highly recommend!

We love this tiny house! First, it’s beautiful, clean, and very comfy. We were surprised that the house is bigger than we thought from the photos. It’s set away from the road in a landscaped area with many orchids and other tropical plants with two small creeks on both sides. It’s quiet and private yet walkable to a grocery and bakery. The kitchen has everything one needs for cooking, the bathroom is clean and lovely, the shower hot and with good pressure. The beds are super comfy as are the linens. This beautiful spot was a real treat for us!! And the hosts are responsive and super friendly. We highly recommend!!

Schöne Unterkunft - wie auf den Fotos, sehr gut ausgestattet, mit traumhaft schönen Ausblicken, bequemem Bett, guter Dusche, gut ausgestatteter Küche. Gute Kommunikation mit den Gastgebern, immer sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Die Unterkunft liegt auf einem sehr steilen Hügel (was für den Wundervollen Ausblick sorgt), ca. 15 - 20 Minuten mit dem Auto bis zum nächsten Ort Santa Elena / Nationalpark entfernt (auf Grund der Straßen - Schlaglöcher und z.T. garnicht asphaltiert würden wir einen Geländewagen empfehlen). In direkter Nähe ein wundervolles Restaurant („Turin“, am Campingplatz), außerdem große Empfehlung für die Kaffee- und Nachtwanderung bei „Ancestors Café“ fast direkt gegenüber an der Hauptstraße!

The place is just like the picture. If you want to get away from all the noise in La fortune this is your spot and it’s a short drive there.

This is a must see in the Monterverde area. First, the house was insanely cute, comfortable and modern. Amazing views of the sunsets, and placement close to all the fun activities in Monteverde. But the best part was the hosts, Diane and Allan. They really went out of their way to make sure we could experience Monteverde to its fullest by recommending a ton activities and even booking them for us, sending us all the info needed. I am truly gratefull about how much better my trip got by choosing to stay in this tree house. Next time i will be sure to stay longer in this lovely house.

So quaint and quiet. Very short distance from so many types of food and drink. We stayed here on our way to la fortuna. I had one of the best nights of sleep in week in that bed! It’s a tiny bit tricky to find. But Google maps takes you to the right spot and the hosts directed and helped us get right in! Many butterflies and birds around!!

What a charming, beautiful and romantic spot! Very secluded and quiet. Private casitas by the pool. Property is gorgeous and better than the pictures. Service was amazing on property and by concierge. Highly recommend! Lots to do on the property including watching a family of monkeys! Andrea

What an amazing place to stay! Jeffry was great at communicating and the Haus was immaculate. Amazing super large bed, comfy mattress and amazing views into the garden. Visits from agoutis, mot mots and woodpeckers were a highlight. The stove and marshmallows were a lovely treat too. Such a wonderful experience - go there!!

Gilberto was a great host. He was very helpful and responsive to make sure we felt right at home. He offered numerous activities to partake in throughout his property including a cow milking session early in the morning on the family farm, just below the rental. His sister Grettel welcomed us for this and showed us how their cow milking operation worked. They also had all sorts of wildlife in the area. The views were breathtaking. I would recommend this place to anyone. Would absolutely stay again!!!

What a beautiful piece of paradise! It was so nice to open a bottle of wine and watch the sunset- it just kept getting better and better! Super comfy bed, beautiful location and clean space. They provided the number for local taxi drivers who were amazing!

Honnêtement, ils ont fait plein de petites attentions vraiment Nice! Ils sont très sympathiques et réactifs aux messages. La maison est proche de tout, épicerie, restaurants et activités. Pour moi, ce fut la plus belle maison que j'ai eu en Airbnb. Quand nous sommes entrés dans la maison, ça sentait hyper bon, c'était même plus propre que chez moi. Quand je reviendrai à La Fortuna, je vais revenir assurément chez la Casa Collette. Réservez sans hésitation avec les yeux fermés! Je recommande fortement! Merci beaucoup!

I would not hesitate to stay at Villa Aurora. It is close to town, easy walking to bars and restaurants. The pool is nice. I agree with other reviewers that air conditioning in the living room would be nice, but we had a big fan and we were comfortable there. Kitchen is well equipped. The hostess is responsive and kind. Next time we come we will stay there again.

What a unique Airbnb experience! Luxury meets nature. Perfectly located close to the nature and adventure parks in Monteverde. Easy to reach everything you could possibly need by car. Book it before it sells out!!
