Amazingly beautiful place! Pure white sand and excellent snorkeling. The staff was helpful. The room was clean. Plenty of comfortable beach chairs. I was here last year and enjoyed it so much that I went back this year.

Wonderful location inside Blu Zen. Views of the ocean, close to the bar and all restaurants, next to the pool. Mel was very communicative after booking. Couple hiccups with staff, but nothing to do with Mel. Most staff interaction was great though. I can’t imagine staying anywhere other than Blu Zen if heading to Belize.

Lugar Al Mar Belize's place was perfect. It was as described and is definitely setup for short and long stays. I didn't need to purchase anything outside of food for my stay. It was setup with enough toiletries to last my entire stay and then some. Also had distilled water for use. The location was perfect, right by the water where you can take walks and is very close to restaurants and a couple of grocery stores. The owner(s) were VERY responsive when I had an issue with my key and any other time I needed something. I would definitely stay here again as I lacked nothing during my stay and enjoyed every minute of it.

Brian is an excellent communicator; works in communication field. His family was there to show me around, inform me about the neighborhood and welcome me while Brian was still at work. This is an ordinary, family oriented area of Belize City. Recommended especially for experienced travelers and those folks passing through the city. Brian himself is an interesting, bright young man. Enjoyed my short stay in his apt.

Our stay was wonderful! Sue was great with communication even before the trip began. She arranged taxi services from the airport, gave us precise directions to the suite and was waiting there for us with cold beers and simple, reasonable instructions expected of us during our stay. The suite was clean, well stocked and tastefully appointed and two bikes were provided for our use during our stay. We did have issues with one of the bikes, however she was quick to respond and the problem was resolved in a resonable time frame. The pool was clean and refreshing and well maintained. The property was private and comfortable and away from to noise of the city, but walkable when we chose to explore. If given the opportunity to return, we would certainly choose this property again! Stayed with Ali a few times, always great. AC works perfectly, it’s centrally located and easy in and out… Highly recommend

This flat is a lovely slice of paradise in Xcalak! My husband and I found the unit spacious and comfortable for two people. Besides the million dollar views from the private deck, there’s an incredible roof top for 360-degree views of the sea and mangrove lagoon (and for epic stargazing). The bathroom had enough hot water for satisfying showers. Kitchen is clean and has everything you need to make basic meals. Beach area is well groomed and has plenty of loungers. Cora the resident dog is a lovely paw-tner for beach walks! There’s great snorkeling about 100 m in front of the house. We saw a sea turtle, baby barracuda, stingray, French Angel, school of squid, and plenty of other reef fish during our two snorkel sessions. Lots of room to spread out if you’re brining work with you, and the wifi signal was very strong in this unit. Not bad on the beach either! A great place to relax and enjoy a quiet part of Mexico.

a little off the beaten path - so very peaceful. Herbie the local croc lives on the river - you will see him. We also saw a large snapping turtle from the balcony. Terrific place. great ppol. I recommend you get the driver for the transfer airport and stop at the grocery store coming in. There is a restaurant at the the next door resort - a short walk - which is very good - but that is it unless you hire the driver (who is excellent and affordable). less than 20 mins to belize city, if you need a city fix, and from there a 45 minute water taxi to Caye Caulker - not to be missed. I highly recommend this place

It was lovely and helpful that the host arranged for direct water taxi with our luggage to the house. The quiet refuge on the north island was a great contrast to the hustle of the south part of the Caye. While there getting around on foot and by water taxi worked well, unless you want to see the estuary on the very north side of the Caye, in which case a bike is a good idea. There were several walkable restaurant options and a small convenience store near the split. We didn’t use the kayak and paddle boards, but the pool was great for heat relief and AC in the bedrooms was nice too. Walter, the caretaker, was super helpful and brought us fresh coconuts / coconut water. Really enjoyed Mario’s snorkel tour.

Good value for money, communal areas are big enough so you can 'find your own space', cleaned everyday

There are only 5 stars, Olmo, Ivy and Ceiba deserve 10 stars, their place is just for those are looking to be connected with the nature, isolated from every one and anything, is you and the sea, rhe host are really friendly and supportive, we arrived very late and they were waiting for us, next day early they welcome us with fresh coconut water, all the food they prepare is really fresh an organic, rhe beach is amaizing, warm, clean compared with othe places im Quintana Roo and the sagasso is minimun.. nothing to worry about. The are a reef in front like 800 meters and there are some tours to make snorkeling and visit the protected area of manaties, a lot of animals and birds sorroundimg the area is one of the few places that still untouched by the commercial bussiness, you can go to fish in open sea and prices are really afordable, don't expect luxury, the house have all the basic stuff to spend your days in a confortable way. The view from the terrace is unique, and the sea breeze keep you fresh all the nigth. Is a very special place with a strong energy. Be ready is a long trip to reach the place but at the end you will be satisfied with the conecction to nature, the place is pet friendly which is a plus. The place is almost like a homestay, the familymembers were really amazing! The room is basic, but you have all you need.

I wish that just giving 5 stars was enough. The deep peace we had there and the peace we have now that we are back to our life is difficult to measure in words and stars. If you want to be alone, you can..completely alone. If you want to hang with the locals. Cool. They are wonderful people. Even making new friends that are tourists. Wherever you go, everyone is friendly, welcoming, fun to talk with. We had everything we could need at the house. The views!! Both sunrise and sunset. Awesomely incredible. Although we didn't cook, there was everything we could have needed in the kitchen, even tons of recipes! Read Linda's full description because that is spot on!! Everything that had us beside ourselves with excitement to go worked out even better than expected. Do all the research you want to but don't worry about making definitive plans. Good grief! What a great house in the best location on that small caye!
