We really enjoyed our month staying in this space while working in Ventura. Originally I booked for myself, my girlfriend and my mom. In the end my Mom couldn't join and I think that for a long period of time with the three people, it might have felt a little cramped. It's a perfect place for a couple or a couple with a kid or two, but it's not the biggest. The location being that close to the beach is great. Evolve were helpful when I needed to change dates, although once during the booking I was trying to get in touch with them through their app and a local phone number and I wasn't getting a response.

The way Ken and Dawn decorated their space is exactly my taste, so I felt safe and comfortable immediately upon my arrival. I came here by myself looking for a place to be alone and romanticize my life, and the Back Porch couldn’t have been a better choice! The bedroom was my absolute favorite part! I’ve always loved having a bed by a window, but this one takes the cake! It made me feel like I was sleeping in my one little nook. The window, the decor, and the bed sheets made me feel like I was living in my dream cottage. The bath towels were also so soft and luxurious. And while I didn’t use the washer or dryer, I must note how lovely that is to have that option. Ken and Dawn were so responsive to any questions or things I needed. It was raining during my stay and I forgot an umbrella, and they happily let me borrow theirs. They even left me two different styles to choose from. Spoken to a woman’s heart to have options, thank you! I can’t wait to stay with them again soon!

We had a fantastic stay at this house! With 8 adults, the space was perfect—nice, cozy, and equipped with everything we needed for daily use. The kitchen was fully stocked, including all necessary utensils and dishes, which made cooking so convenient. The attention to detail and care from the owner truly made a difference. It felt like a home away from home. We highly recommend this place and give it 5 out of 5 stars!

Well stocked kitchen (dishes, pots, small appliances including electric coffee pot for no plastic waste, herbs, oil, etc.). Great for family gatherings. Many extras available for use: kayaks, stand up paddle boards, games, grill, foosball, Peaceful neighborhood. 3 minute drive to grocery store. Extended family rented another AirBnB a 3 minute walk or 2 minute paddle board ride away. 7 of us loved the house and would go back.

Charlene’s place was clean, comfortable and safe. She and her husband were kind and helpful. The neighborhood was safe with plenty of parking. I would recommend this spot!

We loved our stay so much! We traveled to Summerland to escape the cold in Boston, and it was exactly what we were looking for and more. The beach, coffee, restaurants, and an adorable book store were within a five minute walk. The space was clean and private. My only advice would be to ensure your GPS is following the directions given by the host! The hill behind the house is definitely a little sketchy, especially if you’re renting a car. All in all we had a wonderful time and would love to come back.

We loved this place and hope to stay again in the future! Jon was super responsive and very helpful. The location is literally steps from the beach and has many amenities. The outdoor space is amazing and our family of 3 loved spending time in the hot tub.

Our stay was amazing! Jenny was super accommodating and helpful! Check in is a breeze and they communicate so well with tips, information and details! I will absolutely stay again at this location walking distance to the beach and a little oasis away from the main Ventura area. This spot was exactly what we needed!

A great stay, helpful staff and beautiful location! It isn’t my first time staying in Oxnard Shores, and Channel Island Shores did not disappoint. It was a great location for the price with all the amenities you could want.
