This was a magical spot for home-base in San Ignacio. We loved the house, the pool was amazing, views were stunning and we would recommend it to any family or friends wanting a comfy, safe, clean, close home base for adventure. We did not walk much, way up hill, but you could. The town is VERY busy so don't expect a quiet retreat on a hill. New everything, easy to use.

Our family had a great stay at Vanilla Hills. Claudia was so helpful in booking excursions and transportation. We didn’t rent a car and found it easy to get taxis to and from the resort into town. The restaurant was amazing and the staff was very accommodating with our 5 year old daughters special menu requests. We loved the tranquility and would definitely stay here again if we return to San Ignacio.

Oskar and his family were wonderful hosts. Our accomplishments were a private Casita right by the pool. The yard was very private and safe. There were all types of fruit trees in the yard. Location was central to activities. We loved the dogs.

Great quiet and off the beaten path place! Pool area was out of this world! Jay recommended a local chef to come and prepare dinner for my wife’s birthday, and that worked out great! The property was very large and secure with a locked gate. A local herd of Brahman cows strolled down the road every afternoon to find greener grass I think. The road to Jay’s was a little bumpy but I understand it was primarily due to the recent heavy rains, but they were actively repairing it during our stay.

What an excellent home base for exploring the interior of Belize! Easy access to Belize Zoo, ArtBox, and Guanacaste National Park, and only an hour from San Ignacio/Xunantunich. Daniel’s place is in a controlled-access neighborhood and felt very safe, considering we were 5 women traveling on our own. Beautiful home, well stocked and with amenities like a water dispenser on the fridge and a dishwasher. The pool was cleaned the evening we got there and felt so good after a day of exploring. There are some large dogs in the area that may wander into the yard but they didn’t bother us. We saw toucans and hummingbirds right from the yard. Highly recommend!

Las Haciendas was everything our group could have imagined and more. We rented all six Villas, so our group of 13 each had our own space. The villas were clean, spacious and had everything we needed. Leda arranged transportation to the villa, excursions, transportation to dinners and anything else we needed! She had wonderful recommendations as well. She was very quick to respond before the trip, as well as while we were there. We were greeted with cool towels and all our luggage was taken care of the minute we got there until leaving the last day. The water coolers were a great perk and the plunge pools allowed us to chill after a long excursion day. It was walkable to Cachal Ruins as an extra afternoon trip. I would HIGHLY recommend Las Haciendas for your group stay while in San Ignacio!!!

this building is only 2 years old. beautiful and modern. the host will help with with transportation and accommodation. the neighborhood has not caught up with the building. There is alot of dogs and vacant Lots. There are 6 units facing eachother. 3 that's one story studio with pool. the other 3 units have 3 stories with 2 bedrooms and 3 beds with rooftop pool. all units have washer and dryer. also full kitchen to cook. I would stay here again it's beautiful

Stayed at last minute when other air bnb reservation had sold the house and left us standing in the rain Host got us in quick. House was clean and secure Too much loud motorcycles and trucks.

Host was very friendly. Even brought us bananas! There were eggs and milk in the fridge and spices in the cabinet! It felt like staying at a family members house! Beautiful home. Spacious and Clean! Would definitely recommend this home to family and friends. Safe and secure area, friendly neighborhood.

This was the perfect spot for my trip to Belize, close to my friends home and a walkable distance to two shops for food or misc items. I was greeted in person by the caregiver and provided keys. Note, house numbers in Belize are not consistent, this is more identifiable as 5 (not 525 as listed). The caretaker was easy to reach via What’s App with any needs. He also was kind enough to walk me over to my friends house after checking out with my baggage. (Thank you Mr. Marshall!) The bed was large and comfortable. I also enjoyed reading on the couch when it got too hot outside. The TV has access to streaming services. The AC did not work well the first night, but when I notified the caregiver of an issue he had a tech come out the next day. I would recommend staying here- in fact, I gave the information to my friend so that she can have other guests stay here when they visit her in Belmopan. Thank you Rasaanh and Mr. Marshall!

Jungle vibes, banana muffins, and fascinating stories! We had a fantastic stay at Dalena and Steve’s San Ignacio, Belize home! The stylish jungle-themed interior was cozy and well-equipped, with plenty of hot water, clean bedding, fresh towels, and even banana muffins in the morning. We also loved hearing their fascinating stories about biology, ecology, and the creation of the Museum of Natural History in Belize. Dalena provides a comprehensive guide to local dining, adventure and cultural tours, taxi services, and more. The house is only a 15-minute walk from coffee shops, restaurants, and tour offices. At night, we enjoyed walking a few blocks to the local grocery store for carbonated water before heading to bed. Overall, it was a great experience, and we highly recommend their place to anyone visiting Belize! Thanks, Dalena and Steve!

I loved staying at this lovely place. It was VERY clean and provided for what we needed. Everything was quite comfortable and we felt safe in the neighborhood. Leeannie responded soon to the questions we had and the caretaker soon met the needs we had. This was a great experience for us!

I was initially hesitant to book at Rosie's place because it's in a Village, but it exceeded my expectations. It's not far from the capital city Belmopan. The drive to Xunantunich took us about 50 mins max, all other attractions were in a driving distance. The area is peaceful and quiet, with an electric gate and security cameras for peace of mind. The house is incredibly welcoming, and the kitchen is fully equipped for meal prep, plus a washer and dryer for added convenience. The host, Silvia, was warm and kind, greeting us with a fruit basket. Thank you, Silvia and Rosie, for a wonderful stay! I highly recommend Rosie's place—it's worth every penny, and I’ll definitely return.

The GPS coordinates that they put on the instruction is very clear. The house itself is very beautiful inside and outside the pictures that they put are very accurate as well. The host was very responsive and gorgeous. Would definitely recommend it to anybody staying in Belmopan.

Loved the peaceful quiet setting and all the modern conveniences in the house.

We (family with 2 teens) really enjoyed our stay. The house is very beautiful inside. Parking was convenient. The set up with the main bedroom and bath on the first floor and second bedroom and bath on the upper floor suited our family well. The kitchen was clean and well equipped. We did note that the breakfast bar stools are regular height, so we felt like kids lol. The seating area is a bit limited with only a love seat and we would have like to have been able to hang out together. There are a couple of very noisy (2am) rooster, we would recommend a white noise machine if you come. Overall it was a great stay and we would definitely book again.

We had a fantastic stay at Susie’s Villa’s. Jameli is a fabulous host. She was very responsive and proactive in her communications and provided great local recommendations. The property manager and caretaker (Terry and Juan) were available to help us with everything we needed during our stay and arranged tours of the ruins, cave tubing and a trip into guatamala. They were so flexible and accommodating with meeting the needs of our group. Collectively everyone ensured our group of 6 had a fantastic vacation. San Ignacio is a beautiful community with many wonderful places in walking distance of the villa. we would definitely stay here again.

Exactly what my family and I needed. All kitchen needs, private bath in master bedroom. Large enough dining table for family to eat together. Close enough to town to still be private but close. Grocery store near by.

Wow! The pictures are outstanding but nothing compares to seeing Kane Villas in person! We were blown away. The grounds are amazing and immaculately maintained. We rented all 3 villas for our family and enjoyed having the space and privacy. Catherine is an excellent host with outstanding communication, proactive directions and recommendations .Our only regret is we did not stay longer. Do not hesitate to book Kane Villas.

We enjoyed our stay at Oliverio's place. The home has a spacious and beautiful upper apartment and a simpler, lower-level one that, apparently, was connected to the upper one at some point with a staircase (now boarded up). We initially had booked the lower one but found it uninspiring by the time we got there. Thankfully, Oliverio generously allowed us to switch to the upper apartment on short notice, which was wonderful: you get some views, a large kitchen, a large bath with bathtub, two bedrooms etc. We would definitely stay there again during future visits to Belmopan!

Wow! Wow! Wow! Casa Suzie is a gem! Terry and JP were wonderful and helped us plan our four days in San Ignacio. The house is exactly as described, no surprises! Our family of nine had plenty of space to spread out and be comfortable! The kitchen was well equipped and quite delightful to prepare our family breakfast and dinner! I would have given more stars if I could have! You will not be disappointed with this home!

I did not want to leave this place! The property is so beautifully situated in the jungle, you can hear birds, monkeys and other wild lives all day long. We ate breakfast on the property everyday, what’s better than sipping your coffee and staring into all the lushness surrounding you and the pretty birds every morning. Claudia is super helpful providing us with all the information we need to know about the area and coordinating/suggesting things to do. Also the Infinity pool is a amazing, wish we had spent more time there. If it is your first time in SI, don’t get discouraged by the short bumpy road getting there, it is very well worth it, you won’t regret it.
