Amazing Airbnb! It feels like in the middle of nowhere, you just hear the nature at night! We only booked 1 night, but instantly requested for 2 nights more, which thankfully worked out! Great value for money! A place to come down and relax! Also a good spot to explore the nearby nature attractions! The house seems to be recently built and everything is very new and a very high standard. Comfy bed (2nd bedroom available) with amazing view into nature! The balcony is the best!! Most favorite accommodation so far on this trip! Would love to come back any day! Thank you very much Debbie!

Great quiet and off the beaten path place! Pool area was out of this world! Jay recommended a local chef to come and prepare dinner for my wife’s birthday, and that worked out great! The property was very large and secure with a locked gate. A local herd of Brahman cows strolled down the road every afternoon to find greener grass I think. The road to Jay’s was a little bumpy but I understand it was primarily due to the recent heavy rains, but they were actively repairing it during our stay.

What an excellent home base for exploring the interior of Belize! Easy access to Belize Zoo, ArtBox, and Guanacaste National Park, and only an hour from San Ignacio/Xunantunich. Daniel’s place is in a controlled-access neighborhood and felt very safe, considering we were 5 women traveling on our own. Beautiful home, well stocked and with amenities like a water dispenser on the fridge and a dishwasher. The pool was cleaned the evening we got there and felt so good after a day of exploring. There are some large dogs in the area that may wander into the yard but they didn’t bother us. We saw toucans and hummingbirds right from the yard. Highly recommend!

Lovely Airbnb and close to local amenities. Extra touches( vase of flowers). Hosts very attentive and communicative and helpful in booking excursions. Great well written host manual with recommendations! Highly recommend!!!!

One of our all-time favorite AirBnbs! This was such a lovely house in a gorgeous setting! Thoughtful and stylish furnishings with all the touches to make it feel like a home away from home. Hadas was a proactive and thoughtful host who met us at the home when we checked in. We were thankful that it worked out for us to check in early. We didn't have our own vehicle which meant we needed to do a little planning to get around, but it was still totally doable. The hosts helped with booking the ATM cave tour which picked us up at the AirBnB, and also gave us taxi recommendations. The lovely riverside location was worth it!

Macal River States was perfect for our family of four, two adult sons, my husband and I. The property is in a wonderfully peaceful natural setting, great for hikes to the river. The spacious home, especially the kitchen (sugar, salt, pepper, oil, coffee), was well equipped and comfortable. Markets in San Ignacio are a short drive away. Having a car was essential. We liked being able to make some of our meals, pack picnics and explore most of the main area’s attractions on our own; the roads were better than expected, especially for driving to Caracol ruins. Having a washer and dryer was very convenient. Corrina is a great communicator, she was prompt and gave us lots of useful local suggestions. The caretakers Irene, her husband and three cute little dogs, were very warm and friendly. She prepared a tasty dinner for us on our last night. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to come back. Thank you!!!! PS, the variety of cacti adorning the terrace was impressive

Peace. That’s the feeling I had when I arrived here. In fact, I got emotional when we pulled up because the whole property took my breath away. I have nothing negative to say about this place. Catherine was so kind and such a pleasure to communicate with.

You’ve already heard of praise about the luxurious accommodations. I will focus on another aspect of our stay at Las Haciendas. San Ignacio is perfectly situated for so many wonders of Belize. It is close to the ruins of Caracol, Tikal, Flores, ATM Caves, & more. Over the course of the week we stayed at Las Haciendas, we wanted to see so much and at the same time, we wanted to relax a bit during our vacation. The suite and pool were great for relaxing. Leda, the property manager kindly offered to help us with booking tours. Who better a person to do this than someone who knows the companies and people intimately? Based on her experience, she knows the best guides & only chooses local and small companies, as they care more about the participants and staff than the larger services. She made reservations for us which saved us so much time. Leda and her team went out of the way to ensure our comfort. They were friendly, professional and responsive. With great memories I give huge thx.

Alexander’s place was spotless, clean, and very comfortable! Perfect for two people. A/C and hot showers worked well. With Alexander’s help, we checked ourselves in and out, access worked perfectly. Keep in mind this house is in a residential neighborhood about a mile away from the main “tourist” part of town, but we found it very walkable and felt quite safe. Would highly recommend!

Mitten im Zentrum eine grüne Oase, gepflegt und alle sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Konnte unkompliziert früher einchecken, Francisco macht aufmerksam auf Tucane und andere Tiere im Garten, sogar mit Fernglas. Die Openairküche ist genial, mehr Pfannen wären super. Einziger Minuspunkt ist die Durchgangsstrasse, aber das wird ja so kommuniziert. Ich würde auf jedefall wieder bei Francisco buchen. Danke für alles.

This place is a great deal. It is clean and has everything you need for a few days to rest up after exploring the rainforest. Including AC! Windy across the street was so helpful & Roshanne was extremely responsive. Very walkable to most places in San Ignacio & felt super safe.

This was a lovely suite in Nelida's home. It was clean, comfortable, and secure. The neighborhood was also safe and we felt comfortable walking around after dark. It is a block or two from a well-known supermarket on a main street, making getting picked up for tours very convenient. It is about a 15 minute walk from downtown. Note that downtown is down a large hill, so if you're walking you'll get some exercise. There are always taxis along that road, and all cars with green license plates are taxis. Nelida was always very responsive and helpful. We would be happy to stay here again and recommend it to others.

Located near a lot of great restaurants. It was Spacious and clean. Super Friendly Host. The salt water pool and warmly lit veranda made for a relaxing, fun sunset swim. Definitely going to stay here again!

Luciana’s was a great place to stay. There were only three of us so we had plenty of room, but this could easily fit a party of six. We did so much during the day, I wish we could enjoy the patio a little more, but it was very nice to know that we would come home after long day of touring to a nice, comfortable, and cool place. The AC in each room works great. Nice and clean. Maria‘s communication beforehand was very helpful, and we had a very easy check in. This place is probably about five minutes driving from the center of town. But if you wanted to walk or didn’t have a car, I bet it would be a pretty easy walk as well. Upon arrival, there was a jug of water in the fridge for us. That was very helpful after a long day of traveling. We then went to a nearby supermarket for water and snacks. Easy instructions everywhere to use all appliances. WiFi is fast. Would definitely stay again should my travels bring me back to San Ignacio!

Cozy Flat is a comfortable spot with good ac in one bedroom and the living room. There are two outdoor spaces, one covered with a hammock and clothesline, one good for stargazing. The kitchen was ok. No microwave and only a few pans, but it was no problem, there was a coffee maker and coffee provided. A car seems essential in San Ignacio. San Ignacio has so many great restaurants and often an activity includes lunch. Do not miss the ATM tour. We also loved our visit to the Lodge at Chaa Creek for butterflies, the museum, and dinner (a bit $$$, but a beautiful setting and our special dinner). The Saturday market was great.
