What a lovely stay! We really enjoyed making a fire and cooking by the river. Such an awesome location and only a mile from the Nantahala Outdoor Center. I’d highly recommend Donnie’s stay to anyone looking for a private get away in the mountains. We will definitely stay again.

Exactly what we were looking for on the quiet side of the smokies. Loved our stay here. Super comfy bed and spacious place.

Extremely clean suite Would stay again ! After a few days of our stay They sent over extra paper towels, toilet paper, coffee, creamer and sheets location is peaceful with the river near by, squirrels everywhere ducks and geese floating on the river. Just a great stay loved it!

Mrs. Dottie was wonderful. Her and Mr. Don were beyond friendly and made us feel right at home. The apartment looks just as the pictures show. A new unit. Super clean. (We are very particular people and this place was one of the cleanest ever). We Will definitely be back the next time we stay in Townsend. A wonderful place to spend my 50th birthday. We love it! Wendy great anfitrion, easy instructions, great communication and place is super clean. The decoration is beautiful make you feel inside a movie. I felt inlove with the backyard area, so relaxing. It is located next to a magic River. Super reccomended! Definitely returning next year.

Gloria and Bob’s lake cabin is one of the most beautiful, peaceful and relaxing places we’ve ever stayed! My wife and I went for our 1-Year Wedding Anniversary, and their place was perfect to unwind and spend quality time together. They welcomed us with such a thoughtful anniversary gift upon arrival and were incredibly accommodating to us when we had some personal car problems. The people in this town, and Gloria and Bob, are true testaments of the word “hospitality”. Highly recommend and will most certainly be back again.

I will definitely be coming back and booking it for longer stay that was the only thing that I regret not doing, was booking two days back to back

I wish we were staying more than one night and had more time to enjoy the back porch and lovely creek! This home and furnishings are very pretty and the home and furniture are pristine. There are lots of personal touches and little extras. The linens are high quality and the mattresses are super comfortable. We would definitely stay again if passing back through.

Beautiful location with lake access right out the back door. Lovely kitchen and living area. We were there during a cold Thanksgiving weekend. The house was warm, no issues. Becky is very quick to reply and you will NOT be sorry that you reserved her place!

It was the perfect place for a family gathering after Christmas at one of our favorite places. Only wished we could have stayed longer. We’d stay there again.

Our family has been coming to Bear Paw for the last 20 years for our family reunion. This was our first time in this cabin, and it didn't disappoint. Plenty of space, and our children truly enjoyed the game room and well stocked board games. We ended up meeting the neighbors when enjoying the lake and they were so wonderful as well.

So very nice to get what you paid for, with an attentive, caring ( not nosy)) host PS. The hot tub with a river view and the sound of the rippling water was priceless

Lake Chatuge is beautiful and this house is the perfect spot to stay while you enjoy all the lake has to offer. We rented a wake boat and jet skis and kept them at the covered dock. The dock is also the perfect place to watch the sunset. Chatuge Home Concierge was wonderful to work with. We will be back!

Owner was kind enough to swap our weekends when WCU Family Weekend had to be postponed due to the hurricane, and though I wasn't personally able to make the trip because my son came down with the flu, my WCU daughter and her roommate and friends enjoyed having a quiet weekend getaway from campus. She remarked that the house was even nicer than pictured, and highly recommended that I book again for future visits to WCU.

It was our second time to stay here. Quiet, not all the hustle and bustle. Easy to get to attractions when you want to.

If you are looking for a quiet, clean, centrally located place to relax, this is it! Sheila was very accommodating in finding us dates that worked with our schedule. Check in was easy. Her place was spotless and very well decorated. It was a very relaxing place to stay and we were made to feel welcome. Go to Townsend and relax in the quiet side of the Smokies!!!

Beautiful location on the Little River. The host was very responsive and quick to accept my reservation on very short notice. Such a nice condo with everything we needed. Will definitely stay here again!!!
