There was everything we needed for 2 weeks (incl. everything for cloth washing) Location is great If travelling with toddlers - children's playground is right outside building front door and another one is within10min walking distance  Apartment is above shopping centre with grocery store, fast food restaurants, dessert shops, clothing stores, place to buy bus tickets (next to grocery store) Good for travelling by bus as bus stop is nearby and for travelling by car as appartment has space for car in underground parking lot (near garbage containers, so there were smells for a few days before containers were emptied) and driving from this location to all of the island was easy Appartment does not have air conditioning, but with closed curtains during the day and opened windows temperature inside was good. However sleeping with opened windows is not an option because there is quite a busy street with loud traffic Thank you for letting us stay a bit longer last day so our toddler could nap

So sad to leave, we will definitely be back! This place blew us away TRULY made our honeymoon in Madeira magical. The view is beyond words. The location is perfect if you plan to drive around the island—15 minutes to Funchal, 40 minutes to Fanal Forest, or just 1 minute to a secluded beach below at Faja dos Padres. (Don’t miss this on a sunny day!) We spent our days exploring and then coming back in the evening to cook our meals and relax in the hot tub. Everything was immaculately clean and beautiful, and Christina seemed to think of every single detail to make her guests feel right at home. (The kitchen was well equipped with basics like oil, salt and pepper, sugar to make cooking easy; there was a picnic basket, cooler, and umbrellas to use while adventuring the island; the wood fired grill was awesome.) The thoughtfulness of these details made us feel like we were staying at a 5 star hotel. Except this place was 100 times better. Book it! You won’t regret it.

This was an excellent place for our family (2 adults, one 5 year old child). It’s easy to walk to many restaurants and attractions. The space was very clean and peaceful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We would highly recommend this to anyone.

Carina's apartment is a great place to stay in Funchal's old town. There is a supermarket two minutes walk away, shops and restaurants are abundant and the coastline (docks, small beach, promenade) is all less then 10 minutes walk away. We found this a great place to explore Funchal from. The apartment itself is located in a quiet block which is all very well maintained and feels very safe. It was very clean and looks just like the pictures. As a couple staying for a week, it was more than ample in size. We used the kitchen to cook meals and it is well equipped for this. The bathroom is very modern and clean. The shower has good pressure and we never had any problems with the hot water supply. We would happily stay here again and we will definitely be returning to Madeira as there is so so much to do!

We had a nice stay at Rui’s place. Came with an outside covered terrace. The apt was clean and spacious for two people. Thank you for hosting us.

Der Aufenthalt war sehr schön. Die Unterkunft war wie beschrieben und im perfekten Zustand. Wir haben uns sofort wohl gefühlt und können es nur weiterempfehlen!

The welcome given by Nina was very kind and warm with a broad instruction of the apartment and how to use all the available equipment. Everything what you might possibly need was here, even wine and cookies were provided :). Towels were provided as well as supplies to do laundry and use the dishwasher. The host was so caring to even help us out when the weather got bad and hiking was unsafe, we appreciated the warnings they provided to keep us safe via chat a lot. The hot tub was great to use, the pool looked great but was a little too fresh for us due to weather circumstances. The view from the whole apartment as well as the terrace was wide and impressive. Parking was easy: right in front of the house, but please: rent an automatic gear car. The neighbourhood was peaceful, we never experienced any noise from the surrounding. We would definitely stay here again, this was a very pleasant and friendly stay.

Notre séjour chez Marcelo s’est très bien passé. Le logement est impeccable, fidèle aux photos. Arrivée autonome très pratique ! Marcelo est très réactif et agréable. Petit bonus pour le jacuzzi qui est très appréciable après une randonnée sur l’île.. Je recommande son logement ! ☺️

Absolutely stunning stay! The views were like something out of a postcard—so picturesque, we almost didn’t want to leave. The house was spotless, and every detail was thought of: towels, blankets, shampoo, even spare wood for the outdoor barbecue. There’s AC in every room (though we didn’t need it), plus a washer, dryer, and plenty of supplies like soap and dishwasher pods. The host was incredibly responsive and attentive at all hours. The garage was a bonus, especially in the rainy weather, giving us extra comfort. The area itself is very peaceful and quiet, yet only a short 7-8 minute drive to cafes, restaurants, and shops. If I ever return to Madeira, this is where I’ll stay—no question.

We absolutely loved our stay! The accommodation was truly beautiful — very well-equipped, stylish, and incredibly comfortable. We were especially delighted by the fridge stocked with food; we haven’t had such delicious eggs in a long time! And the fresh bread delivered every morning was such a thoughtful touch. We enjoyed the peace and quiet, along with the stunning view of the ocean. Thank you so much for everything — it was a wonderful experience!

999 characters aren’t enough to explain how good this AirB&B was - stunning location with beautiful views from the pool or coveted terrace. Perfectly renovated in the old Madeiran style, exposed stonework, modern appliances, clutter free but had A LOT of soul and love - and Gabriella was the best host ever! It’s not very often we have a fault free stay, but this place just blew us away. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!

Amazing home and host! This was one of the best AirBnbs we have stayed at. The home is spectacular! Cristina let us check in early which was so appreciated after our long flight. She left a gift basket filled with fruit and pastries. The location of the house is awesome - walkable to lots of bars and restaurants. The rooftop space is beautiful with views of the cruise ships coming in and out of the harbor. Cristina was so responsive answering any inquiry immediately. I would highly recommend this home!

From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the cleanliness, thoughtful decor, and breathtaking views. The space is modern yet cozy, with all the amenities you could need for a comfortable stay. We were a group of 8 adults, and the apartment worked perfectly for us. There was plenty of space for everyone to relax, and the layout was ideal for both socializing and having privacy when needed. The location is perfect – within walking distance to the city center, but in a peaceful area where you can relax and unwind. I especially loved enjoying my morning coffee on the balcony, taking in the stunning views of the ocean and cityscape. The host was incredibly friendly and responsive, ensuring we had everything we needed and providing excellent recommendations for local restaurants and activities. I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Madeira.

Amazing Stay - great location to explore the south and East of the island, great restaurant in this charming harbour, great house with fantastic view (despite challenging street to reach the house at the top of the hill and open bathrooms but you have another on the ground floor if you want more privacy - would definitely recommend and come back

Notre séjour à Madère a été parfait ! Le logement était très bien situé, proche de tout (commerces, centre-ville) et super pratique avec le garage, surtout pour visiter l’île grâce à l’accès rapide aux voies principales. L’appartement était confortable et bien équipé. Seul petit bémol : un peu de bruit la nuit dû au passage des voitures, mais rien de trop gênant. Merci encore pour l’accueil !

This place is absolutely gorgeous! Rita is a really nice, friendly owner, who was always available to help and give advices. The location of this appartment could not be better. From the sunny balcony you will have an amazing view at the ocean and the fortress. At the corner there is the really nice bar/restaurant Barreirinha. And you are a few steps away from the centre of Funchal, but there is totally no problem with noise; it is completely quiet. The appartment is clean and nice. The shower is good, the bed is also good, although a bit small for tall people like me (1m90). You will feel like home in this fantastic appartment, would love to be back.
