I can not recommend this wonderful holiday home enough. I don’t think I have ever stayed anywhere that has been as spotlessly clean. The house is beautifully and simply furnished, with everything you need for a few days away. The location was perfect and very quiet considering how closely located it is to the centre of York. Paul and Kerry were so helpful and responsive. Check in was really easy. 10/10 all round!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Was like home from home for the children and they didn’t want to leave. Great location!

We loved our stay at Lancaster House. We went with the family for my mums 60th birthday and Zoe’s place was perfect for our needs. It was very clean, easy to find and had lots of character which, was exactly what we were looking for. We will definitely stay again! 😊

We had a fantastic stay at John's place in August and will be back! Very comfortable and clean, close to the town centre. Beverley is great and John is a great host!

Lovely house, clean and tidy. Perfect location for me with shops, town, bars, sea all within walking distance. Instructions were super clear and they provided me with contract details just in case.

location location location! perfect short walk to everything really! lovely quirky house extremely cosy spotlessly clean. The hosts were proactive and extremely thorough. it's a interesting house on different floors but we loved it ! we celebrated my wife's birthday 🎂 and it was perfect, went to embers for an awesome meal , highly recommended ( subzero cool ) . Thank you Caroline and Jon for being so welcoming and letting us stay at your lovely property. we would definitely stay again if we were in Scarborough. Well equipped, spacious, clean and characterful property within walking distance of York city centre, but in a quiet neighbourhood away from other tourists! Very well appointed kitchen (with Aga) if you need to cook, comfortable lounge, beds and recently refurbished bathroom/toilet. Roger is a great host and happy to help when required. Excellent all round, the only downsides were the lack of salt and pepper and that parking right outside the house can be tricky. The walk into York is also very picturesque. Highly recommended overall.

We were here in March to visit my daughter who goes to Uni of York. The place was incredible!! Super spacious, clean, beds were very comfortable. Kitchen was ideal for a family and had everything we could have needed. The location is amazing. on the river, quiet, private, but still completely in town. Everything you would want to do is walking distance. I really wished I had found this place 3 years ago when she first started Uni. Highly recommend this place. The host has really made this a home away from home.

We had an excellent few days in monk bar court. The location is very central and close to Yorkminster. The Wheelwrights team were very helpful and responsive. Recommended.

We thoroughly enjoyed our home away from home. The house is beautiful, cosy, and everything was spotless. It was great that the house had an allocated parking spot, which is a rare find in York. The beds were very comfy and the house was in a quiet location, yet only a few minutes walk into town. We were delighted that the host provided a bottle of sparkling wine to celebrate New Year. Thank you - it was great.

Great spot for our family of 4, close to great bakery and restaurants and quiet. Easy free parking a plus. The flat is adorable with a lot of nice touches:)

Lovely clean house with plenty of space and amenities. Beds comfy, bathrooms clean and kitchen modern and spacious. We had 4 children with us so having a bathroom next to the kitchen was a god send! Close enough to the town centre to walk- but quiet enough for the children. Great communication from Laura too. We would definitely book this again. 10/10.

Great cottage to stay in. Easily accessible to local attractions e.g. South Bay & Cliff; local restaurants; Scarborough castle, beach etc. Parking was available on the street and/or the nearby streets (just make sure you stay within the correct zone or be mindful of time restrictions). Ellie was a very responsive host and our check was very flexible. In the kitchen we found nice surprise of tea, coffee, milk, biscuits etc - which was very much appreciated after our 2.5hr drive. Jo was a great host and her home was lovely. We spent 3 days exploring York and her place was walkable to the city centre and all attractions. The walk was along the river which was beautiful. Would recommend this place to anyone.

We loved our stay at Sarah's place in York. It was very central, while still being in a calm area of the city right next to the city walls. Sarah gave us some excellent recommendations for restaurants and we particularly enjoyed our evening meal at skosh close by. The amenities in the flat were great, with comfy sofas and beds and a decent kitchen as well. There is also parking although we did not use this.

Very comfortable and relaxing place to stay. Quiet neighbourhood and no more than a 20 minute walk into central York. House had everything we needed, and was lovely and warm. Would recommend it as a great base from which to explore York, and somewhere to get a very decent night's sleep.

Lovely house for our family weekend with fab view of the Abbey and in walkable distance to bars restaurants etc although a bit of a bank coming back ! good parking we managed to get 4 cars parked outside but probably We didn’t cook at all but the kitchen was really well equipped with everything needed. Beds comfy, only criticism is the top floor bathroom mirror over the sink is only well placed for someone over 6 ft tall ! I’m only 5 ft 2 … Definitely recommend this accommodation.

Our stay at the terrace was fantastic. It was exactly as described and exactly what we expected. It was the perfect weekend accommodation for the two of us to explore York and we have already recommended to our parents. A short stroll into town, and a cosy place to return to.

Had a lovely stay - the place suited our needs perfectly. Very happy. Easy to find, good location and lovely inside. Renovation works that have been done to the property were well worth it. Highly recommend.

Would definitely recommend a stay here very peaceful and fantastic accommodation worth every penny ...and would definitely return,loved Scarborough and drive to Whitby 😊 My only criticism was I personally struggled with the wifi password until Daniel kindly explained the second to last letter is a capital i ! lol Daniel suggested to check under the router Wala ! thankyou so so much absolutely loved my stay feel nice and revived kindest regards yasmin

Lovely 3 bed house with alot to do in the local area and the property was neat and tidy. Simon was also very helpful keeping us updated on changes that might have affected us. Would definitely recommend. thank you

I would definitely recommend this home to everyone. It had everything we needed, the kitchen was fully functional with all the right utensils. The lovely touch of prosecco and decorations for the new year eves was very thoughtful. The area is perfect for a little getaway, it was quiet and was a short walk into town. Everything was clean and it felt homey.

really nice to have enough bedrooms for our large group. warm after we started keeping all the doors closed. had everything we needed. nice showers.
